However, when scrolling through the home menu there’s a lag between hitting the button on the remote and the cursor on the screen selecting the right app. Several times I’ve opened up the wrong app because of this. Also, when I watch Hulu the volume can vary after watching a commercial. It may be extremely loud or very soft. Overall good TV that has some quirks.

I am sorry that you are experiencing lag when navigating on your TU7000 TV. Have you tried Device Care option?
Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care.
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. I hope this helps to solve your concerns.
To address your inconsistent sound issue, try auto volume by going to:
Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume, and turn it on.

There was too much nudity that we felt uncomfortable with on TV with our children. We have had a Television, but only to watch the movies we chose. Now, the addition of this soundbar provides us with amazing sound for the set we just bought. I think if just might be worth it. With the addition of the soundbar, this television allows you to experience what we used to feel in the movie house. A bit pricey for us, but I guess in the long run, it is worth it.
