I would not recommend based on the fact that I don’t really know what was delivered. I was never able to fully utilize the TV. I had a message appear on my TV screen every time I started it requesting setup updates in Service Mode. After multiple chats and calls with BestBuy, they suggested that I call Samsung. I called Samsung USA who remotely logged into my TV to attempt to correct settings. After over 30 minutes on the phone with Samsung, they suggested that I return the TV to BestBuy. After reviewing the label on the back of the TV, it was obvious that the label was tampered with. It looks like it was removed and some other label applied. Take a look at the photos. The corners are peeled back and sticker on back of TV is not placed back on straight. So, I have no idea what model the TV actually was.

I have tried twice now and both times i got a damaged tv. Second one was worse by far with damaged corners, not Styrofoam to prevent damages and in a box meant for a 55 inch tv. I purchased in excellent condition and i get a pile of garbage

    Beautiful TV With Some Caveats

To start.... I asked the Best Buy salesman to show me QD-OLED TV's 42-48-inches, with glossy/wet screens. This was my choice as it is a beautiful 48-inch OLED TV, but unfortunately, this is not a QD-OLED, as advertised by Best Buy and reported to be by the salesman, this is a WOLED which I was trying to stay away from. The little store shelf tag even said QD-OLED on it so not his fault. But, this TV does have a full glossy finish and somehow it is WOLED. Yes, WOLED is still a nice OLED TV, but it's not QD-OLED which is what I asked for. WOLED has not quite a deep of color saturation and the blacks in the picture tend to tip out grey which is why I didn't buy the LG WOLED with DolbyVision which I miss. On the other hand WOLED's don't usually have glossy finishes and they do get very bright. That being said, this TV has deep blacks, glossy finish, nice colors, it's a great TV and I don't intend to return it because it's so very sleek. Samsung seems to be having some issues with production though. It's so thin but if you look at the side of it you can see waves in it slightly. The connectivity and HDR is great. It has 120Hz when in "Game Mode," which is huge. I especially like when you want to step away from the TV, you can set a time limit and choose a screensaver, so it pops up and saves your screen from burn-in, even though I don't think it's actually possible anymore. I run 100% brightness all the time, with no safety features on, and can't see any ghost picture, or burn-in, at all, for over a year now. The screensaver is little splashes of RGB colors and it looks sick on that black screen. The remote is solar powered and USB-C rechargeable which is nice. The TV responds quickly to button presses with no delay at all, it will jump around nicely because of its Neo-Quantum processor. The only thing about the remote is that it has the same exact fell either way, so in the dark or when you're not looking, I will always press the Amazon Prime button instead of the back button and that really irritates me often. Funny enough, in the settings, there's an option to turn on remote hold notification so when it feels you pick up the remote and grip it wrong, a notification on the TV will pop up and tell you you're holding the remote incorrectly, lol. Kind of handy. I do love and recommend this TV but be sure you know what you're buying because the store can inform you wrong. I didn't try to return or get a refund for this but it doesn't feel good to make thousand-dollar purchases at a store to find out differently when you get home.

Bought this as a Black Friday deal to upgrade my 2015 Samsung UHD 4K. Very happy with it so far. The colors and contrast are amazing, especially the darks and blacks. You see much more detail in everything. The audio was suprisingly good as well. This thing actually some bass! Only issue I has was setup, but that was because I was unfamiliar with this new TV. This TV will "take over" any HDMI components you plug into it, forcing you to control everything through the TV remote. I have an Onkyo AV receiver as my main connector for all my devices. The TV actually changed the receiver settings, including sound outputs and HDMI pass- throughs. Did the same formy Xfinity Flex Box. Here's a tip. Before you connect anything to this TV, go into its settings and turn the HDMI-CEC more to OFF. Then go to the Input Signal Plus settings and turn them all OFF. I was getting video but no audio until I did this. Then connect all your devices and check their settings for their HDMI-CEC status. In my case, I turned them all off, and after changing the HDMI pass -through settings back to where they were, everything was fine again. I can watch with or without turning on the receiver, and sound and video are fine. Only regret is that I would have liked to buy a bigger one than the 48" but anything larger would not fit due to limited space. Other than the frustration I experienced during setup, I'm really enjoying this purchase.

This tv is next level the picture is crazy good. The refresh rate is still smooth gaming is way better with a OLED like this. By far the best TV ive ever had. Don’t even think about it just get this TV and you will understand. I went to a friend’s house to watch the Super Bowl and I was like wow man this TV looks awful compared to what I’m used to at home. The blacks are so dark and even with the lights on the picture is just insanely good!

It has a brilliant screen and it's fantastic for gaming. Clarity and color accuracy are near spot-on, and the 120-Mhz refresh rate certainly makes a difference for console use. Two cons: 1. While the Gaming Hub instantly recognized the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X as consoles, it does not for the Nintendo Switch OLED. The TV certainly accepts the signal and the Switch is playable — but none of the benefits of Gaming Mode are available. 2. The stand relies purely on compression, friction and gravity. It feels solid while sitting stationary, but if the TV has to be moved around, there's a risk of any of the three stand components coming loose. It happened twice while moving the device during the initial setup. For the price of this TV and for peace of mind, I would like to have had some screws to keep everything solid.

Excellent Picture Quality and Smart Features! I recently purchased a Samsung TV, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The picture quality is absolutely stunning — vibrant colors, deep blacks, and crystal-clear details that make movies and sports look incredible. The 4K upscaling works beautifully, even for older content. The sound is surprisingly rich for a flat-screen TV, and the Smart Hub interface is super easy to navigate. I can switch between Netflix, YouTube, and live TV in seconds. The remote is minimalist but very responsive, and I love that it supports voice control. Setup was quick, and connecting to Wi-Fi and other devices (like my soundbar and console) was seamless. Samsung’s build quality really shows — the TV looks sleek and premium in my living room. Overall, this Samsung TV delivers top-notch performance and great value for the price. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality smart TV!

My mid-scale review might seem harsh to some, as I'll admit the picture quality on the S90D is 5 stars. However, the user interface is insufferable. If anyone can make an amazing OLED TV, it's Samsung. I've purchased at least 3 of their sets over the years (actually, it might be 4 or 5, I don't remember as some were gifts), plus several other vendors' TV offerings. I've always liked the TV's, and certainly have never really been disappointed. However, the smart-TV interface on this system REQUIRES you to have a Samsung account, ostensibly to make channel and provider selection easier, such as when logging-in, you only authenticate with a password one time. However, this also means you cannot watch the TV without an account. "That's not true. It can't be", I hear you say. Believe me, we tried: using over-the-air, Wi-Fi streaming, and a local source from a video game controller. We tried all inputs: HDMI, USB, and Wi-FI antenna. It was simply not possible to watch a TV picture. "So why not just sign-up with a Samsung account?", you retort. We tried that too. Initially when trying to create an account, Samsung said one already existed. Not recalling knowing a user name, or passport for any such previously created account (as their TVs certainly have never required it), we tried to reset it, or click 'forgot user name'. Over and over. It never worked. I'm the computer guy that all friend's and family call when their computer stops working. Maybe I missed something. I have in the past. But we couldn't get a picture, and we could never create an account, and we could restore any apparent existing account. We then tried creating a new account, using a burner user name and password. It wouldn't work (I think the cookie in the phone app was telling Samsung that we had originally tried to use the 'forgotten' (unknown to us) user name, and retaining that information. I considered clearing the device's cache, but in addition to not really wanting to do that, I also felt that time was up. People of Earth, if you cannot watch a TV without an vendor's account, or worse, without an Internet connection (because after all, not all of us need that to watch a streaming program, such as with a locally-installed DVD player), then I would have to consider that TV to be unusable. PC and software vendors discovered years ago that many users work offline, and modified their connection and authentication routines to work with that, else, facing a backlash of users unable to use an expensive computer without an always-on network connection. A TV should not require this either. Perhaps I missed something. Perhaps the account's 'forgot your passport' link server was down that evening. I don't know, but none of it should have been necessary in the first place. We returned the set and when with a different brand.

      JohnW,

Thank you for your review. You will need a Samsung Account to access Smart Hub, our network-based smart service that includes apps (e.g., streaming service apps) and our other smart features available through your device.

You may need to use a separate device (laptop, desktop, or mobile phone) to create or log in to a Samsung Account. If you choose not to log in to a Samsung Account, you’ll only be able to connect to external devices (such as HDMI and terrestrial over-the-air TV with the use of antenna tuners). Furthermore, your TV will not be able to use Smart Hub apps. This includes apps such as Netflix and YouTube, as well as Samsung services such as Samsung Health. To resolve this issue, you must log in to your Samsung Account and agree to the Terms and Conditions on your Smart TV.

If you’d like assistance setting up a Samsung Account, we’re here to help. You can reach Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

The S90D is an outstanding OLED tv, and I highly recommend it. As a former owner of the LG C series, I can confidently say that the S90D is far superior in terms of picture quality and overall performance. If you are into gaming GET THIS TV. Colors are spot on, it has smooth motion and supports pc gamers with nvidia graphic cards.

1 day into it. My first oled coming from Sony led tv and Samsung. Got it for gaming and movies. The picture is amazing, like it in the store and looks better at home. The sound is also very good, while the interface is something to get used to. The profile is very well made, and the materials are excellent. I like the remote control, with the c cable recharge and solar strip to charger it, future proofs. It's a smart tv with advanced options that I truly appreciate it. Very very happy with my purchase

    A premium mid-size OLED TV

As with most OLED TVs, this is a great TV. The 48" size uses a W-OLED screen rather than the newer, suppposedly higher performing QD-OLED. Personally, who cares? This has a great picture for my use, the Tizen interface is different than some others but easily learned and navigated. Samsun TV Plus gives you a lot of channel options outside of the subscription services like Prime, Netflix, etc. althoug a lot of it is reality TV and shows that were popuular when I was a kid - some number of years ago. In our situation, we really appreciate the unlimited viewing angle of OLED. Sound quality of the TV itself is very good. We do not use a sound bar with ours. Start without and add one if you think you need it. This is a nice TV.
