I read tons of reviews before deciding on this tv. I chose the ju7100 over the js8500. This TV has amazing picture quality and great features. The 3D works well, samsung smart hub is great and the sound is good for a thinner flat screen tv.

We purchased this 50 inch tv for the bedroom as we upgraded from a 40inch Sony w600b (great TV). I won't say it's the greatest pic out there but definitely had enough bells and whistles to suit our needs. Picture adjustment is necessary.

This is a serious television. I immediately noticed the difference fom the 4k and the older TV's I've been watching. The picture is super sharp the sound crystal clear. This being my first experience with "Smart TV" I find it amazing what I can watch. I attached my "Roku" for all the special extras. It seems like daily I find something else I can do with the TV. The browser for the Internet isn't the best but I just had a phenominal desk top computer built and only tried the browser once. I have to mention the representative was super knowledgeable regarding the product. I actually purchased a smaller TV 40" for my bedroom two weeks later. It's not a 4k but it still is Super. MoSt of my toys are Samsung they make a superior product.

Awesome TV for Movies and Games

Finally a TV that fits my criteria. I had gone through 2 other TVs before this one: The first was the JU5500, which was great for movies, but had an awful motion blur and input lag for games. Next was last year's HU8550, which was great for games, but the picture looked grainy and soft for movies. When I plugged in this TV to test it, I knew it was the one. It has a very nice, crisp image for movies, and you can really see the upscale if your couch is close enough to the TV. It also has extremely low input lag and motion blur for video games, which was one of my bigger issues that needed addressing with other TVs. All in all, for the price point, this is an awesome entry level 4K with some great features and excellent picture quality.

    Almost Great - Little Things

The little things..... I expect this TV to be practically the best. 4k 3D all that good stuff. Higher refresh rates etc... The first thing that you will notice is the extreme clarity watching TV shows, but with that extreme realistic beauty is the inevitable jutter that follows. So decisions need to be made out of the box... Do I want freakishly clear picture where you can touch the characters on TV with a bouncy jittery screen? Or... Do I want typical Cinema style clarity with no judder at all? After enjoying the extreme clarity for about 10 minutes, I couldn't stand the jitter. So I turned down clearmotion and still have an extremely clear TV with no jitter. The next point....4k. I literally upgraded my subscription to Netflix to allow for 4k video, but must say I really am not seeing much of a difference. Is there a difference? Yes... Most people will not know it. When I can watch the Yankees in 4k or Sunday Football, I think that will be the glorious moment I love the TV. Finally. The greatest and worst part of this TV.....THE REMOTE. I am a high tech guy... I utilize home automation equipment to automate my home theater...Heck I'm a certified installer... But even I want to use an old school remote. I am not controlling many sources... Just an AV receiver, TV, Cable Box and Apple TV. I was excited to see this remote smart enough to control the cable channels and even my AV receiever.....We were 50% there. I was almost able to get rid of the iPhone remote that I use.... But then as I began to use it... I learned the ever frustrating reality that the remote has no number buttons and very few feature buttons. I wish Samsung would redesign this thing to have a number pad. So close...But heck, I don't really use the TV remotes anyway....Like I said, I use custom designed home theater stuff.... Still would have loved to use a normal remote. Oh Well. Bottom line is the TV seems to be great...The services will eventually get there to deliver crisp 4k. Would like to see Samsung address the jutter issue, but I'm not sure that a software patch etc will fix it.

Went to Best Buy to purchase the version of this TV with lower refresh rate. The sales rep asked us several questions to determine our use, and he recommended this version with a higher refresh rate for just a little bit more. When I took it home to set it up (extremely easy process), also found out that this version has 3D capability. Have not tried that yet, but it was an unexpected bonus. Fantastic picture quality no matter how close or how far away you may be from the screen. This is our 4th Samsung digital TV, and we have never had a problem with any of them!

Damage during shipment. I had to return it to the store. Unfortunately, they didn't have another one in stock. As a result, I had to pick another Model TV because I didn't want them to ship me another TV using the same shipping company.

this is a really great 4k television, movies look amazing, regular tv looks good, and youtube 4k looks incredible except that for playing video games and watching fast sports the tv isnt the best, you can see a lot of motion blur and judder when playing fast paced video games and watching sports like soccer (football), NFL, Baseball look good, still have to see the NHL and NBA. the reason for 4 stars is that i bought this tv mainly to game and watch soccer and it disappointed me to be honest

My wife and I actually bought, took home, st-up, and tested three TV's before settling on this one. The others did not have a picture any better than our nine year old 1080p TV. I wasn't a Samsung fan initially. However, I knew a few people who are quite happy with their Samsung products. We REALLY wanted at least a 55 inch monitor, but we had to keep our total dollars a spent below $1,000. Great picture, great price.

We replaced a 46" Samsung. We were able to use existing wall mount. We used new TV stand to hold existing sound bar. Picture is really nice. It is easy to follow instructions to change settings if desired. We enjoy 3D movies. Delivery directly to our home was quick and easy.

We were looking for a new tv and hadn't even considered an LED. Once we got it home and set it up which was so easy to do, we noticed the difference right away. It is almost like having the show inside your house! The picture quality is as close to real as it can possibly get. I will never get anything less than what I have now.

The picture is great, and the 3D is great! The problem I ran into was the remote. The first TV I received, the remote rattled and then it broke. After talking to Best Buy, that is a common problem. Samsung would not replace the remote, I had to take it back to Best Buy. If you buy this TV, make sure the remote does not rattle and I would get the extended protection, just to cover the fragile remote.

    EXCELLENT TV FOR GAMING

Hi, this is one of my first reviews. I decided to do one because i love this tv that much! Let me start off by saying i bought this tv open box so i got it at an additional discount. THE THING LOOKS AMAZING!!!! I purchased this to complement my pc gaming setup and wanted to run DOOM on it and i was blown away by how beautiful it looks. If your the tinkering type and dont mind digging in the settings for the best picture and color quality, then you will not be dissapointed. I definately recommend activating UHD COLORS as they amazing, especially while gaming. Also, the input lag is barely noticable. In fact, i actually use it as my monitor! Yes, its that good. Perfectly clear even at that size. It may however not be fast enough for say the fastest online shooters which require mouse and keyboard, but is PERFECT for anything else! I paired this up with my xbox elite controller when i wanna pc game a bit more casually after a long day of work. As far as 3d goes, it definately works. You need glasses but it works great. Keep in mind the movie has to be in 3d format for you to get the full 3d effect, but even if its not it will still try to make it a bit 3d. I even played Black Ops III Zombies in 3d and it works, though you may not want to strain your eyes for a long period of time like that. In conclusion, I recommend anyone looking for a high end tv with all the bells and whistles (which btw i forgot to mention how cool the wii like controller is). So if you get a deal on it, go out and buy it!!!!

I have had the Samsung 50" 7100 series TV for about two months. I found it easy to set up and install. The picture is excellent and this TV seemed to improve other non-BD and VHS video as well. As with most modern electronics like this, the options to change and adjust settings is very extensive and somewhat overwhelming. The cute little remote does not have the usual multitude of buttons, and requires pointing actions at particular graphic images on the screen. I found this scheme not very easy to use. A problem I have had involves the lack of audio sync with my BD player. I made some adjustments, and things seem to be okay now. Another issue is the limited built-in web browser. I found that it doesn't seem to support flash video, and so this limits downloading video from some web sites. Maybe I need to do a software update, but I thought I had the most current version. Of course I can by-pass the problem by hard wiring in my laptop, but this isn't where we should be in 2015! Finally the lack of a keyboard connection is not great when setting up various on-line sites that require input of usernames and passwords. All in all a very good UHD TV.

It was a bit of a chore getting it set up, but now that it's up and running it's amazing! The apps (Amazon Video and Netflix) crash infrequently, but I'm a patient individual so after a restart they usually work just fine. The picture is amazing! It's incredible to watch the few 4K shows on Netflix. Something to consider is it can be a bit of a WiFi hog so if you notice a slowdown in bandwidth don’t be surprised. I also suggest getting an ARC complaint sound bar. I got the cheapo Samsung one from Sam's Club (sorry BestBuy, but I didn't want the $500 version you carried) and it sounds fantastic to me. Mind you I'm not an audiophile so I'm not looking for sound perfection just something that will amplify the built-in TV speakers.

This picture is the best I've ever seen. MUST use high quality HDMI cables, images look real. Movies look like you're watching a play and even animation appears unusually clear. Quality picture, great remote, love the pointer option.

This TV fit my available space while providing great picture and sound quality. The TV had enough interface ports to support all my devices. The remote control is simple and easy to use, even when you need to browse the Internet since it has a built-in pointer with large enough easy to find buttons.

-Picture quality is great. -Remote control is the best. -User interface is good, but Android TVs are more user friendly. -Design is great. -Sometimes (like twice a week on certain apps) runs slow and crashes which I think that happens to all smart TVs. -Sound volume is poor but the quality is reasonable.
