This TV didn't last 3 years!!!!!!! A little more than 2 years in it started showing black lines through the picture. On August 17, 2023 it went black and never came back on. Sad...

I bought this 50” Samsung based on the decent 3rd party reviews. I found it impossible to get a good looking picture quality, especially black. I did like the user interface. It was easy to navigate. I did exchange it, because I just could not get the picture quality to what I wanted.

    Really needs a better remote

TV is nice. The remote isn't big at all and it's hard to use. And no back light on remote to see in the dark. Doesn't go back to channels smoothly. Big delay in going from channel to channel. Definitely considering bring it back.

This is the most problematic television I’ve ever had! Sound constantly goes out, it randomly turns off or stops streaming during the middle of shows/movies.

Great TV for the price. Bought the extended 2yr warranty, just last night there is now a dark strip about 8in wide and runs from the top to the bottom of the screen. Was great....until.

    Horrible internet connection!

The tv needs to be connected in order for you to use the apps and at least 4xs a week the tv cannot connect to the internet, but when I go to the settings it says the TV is connected but won’t stream anything because it will say it’s not connected. This issue is really annoying and I’ve contacted Samsung 2xs for this and they resolve it at the moment but that takes about 30-45 minutes. I don’t think it makes sense to cal Samsung every time the Tv doesn’t want to connect to the internet. Not sure what’s happening with it but I regret buying this product. Very unsatisfied

    Too Many Issues

Powers off every few hours, takes a complete reset to get the TV going again. Network connection is spotty with or without wireless or Ethernet. Picture quality is good, Frame itself is flimsy and cheap, components seem inadequate and defective. Would not recommend this TV nor another Samsung to anyone. Spent too much money to be given the run around, Samsung went to the bottom of the pack.

within the first 6 months I had to get a repair done on my tv and now 25 months later it is offically broken again. Whatever you do don't buy samsung. Their tv's are fantastic but they break super easily and don't last long.

    Horribad value

Received this model as a replacement for a model under warranty only about 2 years ago. Have the half the screen darker than the other issue. Problem is this model, PSU, mainboard and tcon are all the same board. Blahhh. My main issue with this tv ON TOP of it failing in under 2 years is I only really use it a few times a month for a hour or so at a time. I will probably not purchase Samsung low budget models again. Top tier is fine but their budget panels are horribad. Yes I said it! If you want a budget TV go elsewhere as far as brand. I would never recommend this brand to a friend....because I like my friends.

bought this TV for my new apartment. went in to buy an insignia but the salesperson upsold me on this TV because of the quality. Every couple minutes the TV flashes a big static line down the middle of the screen. called customer service and was told because I dont have the paper receipt I couldn't return or exchange the TV. bought it less than 2 weeks before I called, and lost the receipt during my move. Its 2019, every other retailer can do a receipt look up through credit card, but not best buy. Now I'm stick with a broken TV I spent $360 on. I should have just went to target... horrible TV and horrible customer service.

    Defective screen

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I really enjoyed this tv at first until I noticed there was a line that would flash across the center of the screen about every 5 minutes. I exchanged it for another one at my local Best Buy store. The exchange process was a breeze, but as soon as I got home and set up the new one, I discovered it had a defective screen as well. This time there is a line that goes down the center of the screen vertically and a horizontal line that connects to it, creating a plus sign shape. You can't notice the lines until something passes over it and it blurs the image. Extremely frustrating to have to go through the exchange process, AGAIN. This time I will be requesting a refund and purchasing a tv that's NOT Samsung.

    doesn't stay connected to wifi

I got a samsung tv for christmas and it's a piece of junk. It never stays connected to the wifi and every 10 minutes I have to reconnect it. I wish I wouldn't have gotten it and it's way too late to exchange it. I did not buy it from here but want to make sure it is known. I have done updates and everything that we have been told to do and its still a piece of junk. Sorry about the review, but this is how I feel and just want everyone to be aware of the issues I have been having with it since I got it. I also cannot download apps to it, I have to screen cast from another device which ends up running my battery down and making the tv more difficult to use.

    Worse Purchase Ever

I bought the tv, worked fine. Although because of poorly coded software with this specific model UN50NU6900BXZA the tv will update automatically and corrupt the software. Unfortunately repairing the tv was going to cost 200 to 400 dollars depending on who you get a quote from. And Samsung will not WILL NOT allow you access to the software to reboot the thing and can only get it serviced by specific companies. SO repair a 300 tv for 200+ OR just skip this model and company all together and get an LG...

    Don’t recommend

I ordered this tv the end of nov 2018 with a 2 year plan. It broke right after the plan expired. I explained what went wrong to geek squad (white light in top left corner that slowly dimmed away then never turned back on). They told me it was most likely the power board but couldn’t help me since my plan was expired. I have searched for a power board since then and everyone always seems to be out of stock so I’m assuming it’s common with this series/model. Don’t recommend.

    Horrible dark picture!!!

I was so excited to have my first smart tv only to find out that this lower price model has a horrible defect in that the picture is way too dark and there is no way to brighten/lighten it up...the BestBuy Sales person confirmed this for me and if I had only spent $50 more on the next level up, wouln’t have this problem. Totally unacceptable and it’s so bad that they really should be taking these off the shelves!!!

    Horrible TV

If i could give this tv a "0" i would! I exchanged an LG 50 inch 4k tv for this one and was happy with it til watching tv and the screen glitched out and then shut itself off right after. I proceeded to turn it back on and all i saw was a black screen slighty lit up and sound coming out with no picture. This TV was literally 12 hours old! The TV died in 12 hours, that is unacceptable for any tv to die let alone die that quick. Dont buy this tv!
