    Lasted 13 months and then it died

    Picture quality was great. No complaints on operation until it died after ONLY 13 months. For $1500 out the door I expect a lot more from Samsung as far as quality goes and reliability. To make matters worse, the warranty is only 12 months from the manufacturer. To me that says they don’t stand behind what they build. All companies should do better than this.

    Cracked screen in the store, lousy manager.

    Worst experience ever. When I open the box the tv screen was cracked, the next available day I went to the store to return it, The store manager accused me of breaking it, refused to refund my money, and told me they were doing me a favor by giving me store credit. I told the store manager i resented his attitude ans behavior and he just ignored me. I called the corporate phone, i chat with two people in customer service, I went to other store and nobody helped me, so I was left with debt, not tv and unwanted store credit. Very poor behavior and zero customer service. I remember when the employee brought the tv from the warehouse, first they took like an hour to bring it. And then he was carrying it over his head, and that is how he could had damaged the screen. I asked them to review their cameras, and once again got ignored. Very lousy manager

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your xxx TV. To ensure you’ve got the latest image quality updates, please confirm that your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version. You can check by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

      If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.

      Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
      ...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
      1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
      2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
      3. Eco: Provided to save energy
      4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
      5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

      You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).

      The Auto Volume function automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume = On

      You may also want to perform a Sound Test under Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Sound Test

    Sound was off

    The sound kept going out on this tv. Everytime we call and they asked us to reset it. We ended up returning it

    Smudged, Greasy Look

    I don't know what it is about the picture but it looks like the TV has a screen protector that smudges the screen. I tried wiping off the smudged, greasy look but it seems like it's a problem with the TV itself.

      Thank you for sharing your experience. If there is a protective film on your screen, it will be indicated with a blue triangle in the upper left corner. The triangle will have an illustration showing how to remove the protective film.

      If you do not have a blue triangle in the upper left corner, then that means there is no protective film on the screen, so please do not try to peel off anything. You will damage what is actually the screen.

    I adore everything about this TV. However, being required to the Samsung Account whenever I want to watch Max, Disney+, iTunes or other streaming platforms is a hassle. I am returning this AWESOME TV BECAUSE I HATE SIGN INTO THE SAMSUNG ACCOUNT.

      Thanks for your review. To download apps that did not come pre-installed on your TV, a Samsung Account is necessary to access the App Store. Other than adding more apps, your TV will function the same with or without a Samsung account.

    I got a open box 60" Samsung and the screen was damaged. Best Buy did not warranty. out $450.00 Not very happy! Then I got the 55" new. it works Ok. Still not very happy with Best Buy. I would not get a open box TV from them!

    So far im really liking this tv. Its very close to oled i have an lg c4 and my qn85d almost beats it in blacks and dark scenes. The color is very vibrant the picture is very clear and crisp build quality is very premium as well. My video and movies look amazing on my tv. Okay for brightness it gets very bright i loke to use the dynamic picture setting had to turn the brightness down from 50 to 40 snd its still plenty bright. The sound from the tv speakers i cant cant comment on because im using a Samsung s700D sound bar since day one of setting up my tv.

    I’m shocked this tv has any good reviews. It’s been nothing but problems for us. 1. The remote never works or charges even tho it’s been replaced 2. The display settings (brightness backlight etc) are so limited my 10 year old screen has more options for comfortable watching 3. Apple TV seems to not be compatible- you must exit the platform ever new episode to get the screen to adjust to widescreen 4. I’m not sure what the point of the tv box being separate from the tv serves- it’s just annoying I don’t get it I hate this TV, had to share.
