This is the most impressive TV I've ever seen... from the front. From the sides, not so much. The curve helps keep the contrast at more extreme angles and the FALD backlight stops the edge bleeding problem. The set does, however, show a poor contrast ratio when viewing at angles greater than 25 degrees and there is some barely visible clouding in some scenarios. The smart TV functions are sometimes great, sometimes terrible. I think its the new Tizen OS that's causing the problems, so its probably going to be better with more software updates. Having said all that, this is the greatest TV I've ever owned. The HDMI-CC function removes my need for an expensive universal remote (like the Logitech Harmony), and the HDMI ARC (audio return channel) lets me set different picture settings for different sources. This is important to me because I'm a big gamer and the "Game Mode" function is buried deep in the menus on this set. But I just set my game systems to use game mode and my video functions do not. The black levels on this set are jaw-dropping, silky perfection. The colors are vibrant beyond any other set I've seen in person. I highly recommend a bias lighting kit for this set, as it will really show the full performance. I chose this TV over OLED for a few reasons; first was the potential for burn-in. OLED panels can suffer from image retention or "burn-in" which is most commonly caused by video games with a HUD that doesn't move. Second, an equivalent OLED was about $2,000 more than this model. And finally I love Samsung's upgrade able "brain" in the form of the One Connect Box. It's a fantastic innovation that will allow me to update features of my TV every few years without having to buy a whole new set. Overall, I really love this TV (despite its few drawbacks). And the little bit of HDR content I've seen shows a really bright (and I mean BRIGHT) future for this panel.

The set up is simple. The picture is amazing, you will not be disappointed.

We recently purchased a 65" Samsung 4k curved TV. The picture quality is outstanding and even better than we imagined. I highly recommend this TV. At the time of our purchase, the Samsung was a better value than the Sony. Geek squad installation was outstanding.

I ordered the 65 inch 4K high definition curved TV because of the sharpness of the picture in the store. After setting it up at home and connecting to the cable, the picture was not as high definition as it was in the store. I got a decent picture, but not as impressive. I was unable to connect my old surround sound system to the newer technology and had to buy a new receiver with updated technology to get the proper surround sound. I probably would wait for the technology to improve in price and for cable technology to catch up to the same state of the art as the TV.

I was hesitant to by a curve, but this one displays an outstanding picture. The only downfall is with a curve, you have a reflection of any light if you sit at an angle. The reflection just doesn't show as a spot, but rather a big line across the whole screen. I guess that's a curve for ya.

I started looking at televisions because of all the new technology I wanted to upgrade I had a 50 inch flat screen plasma Samsung. I had no complaints with it I thought it was the best. Until I started going to the store and looking at the other televisions and what was out. I was very hesitant to spend a warm some of money on a TV. I did not think it was practical. As I was looking and reading reviews I kept moving up the ladder on the TVs.. I kind of got sucked in because the newer models had better features was only a few dollars more and they figured if you're spending the money you might as well spend a few dollars more and get the best. I am a very practical person and very careful with money. But this investment had to be one of my best because the kids in the us have movie nights together and it has been a wonderful purchase for the family. As far as the product goes I love it it was absolutely simple to set up and simple to navigate. I got on sale I think there was 10% off those like $500 off. Which wasn't bad and if you bought the sound bar with it which I did, you got another $150 off. Overall I feel like I got the best deal on the television from Best Buy that I was able to. This TV is so sleek clear I've never seen the curved technology but it's wonderful. Everybody that comes by we put on the 3-D for them because it is absolutely amazing and unreal. If money is not the issue for you and my advice is to absolutely buy this product because you will never have anything like it. It truly is a completely different level than Samsung has brought it to!! Happy happy happy. Don't forget to use the sports mode. Wow!

This TV is Amazing .It will be the best looking art work on the wall. We disabled the Motion and Camera feature . XBOX 1 turns on everything. The 3D will have you running back to buy Movie after MOVIE..the bad is the darn movies are 30.00 or more ...but going to the theater would be more and you can't pause the movie if you needed to.

Love the picture and wish there was more 4G content out there to enjoy. Big difference with the crispness of picture. A little struggle with the Comcast remote and needed assistance from Comcast to get this working. The online instruction didn't cut it. All the smart functions on th TV are easy to use. The curved version is great when you have an open space concept home or large livingroom with seating on the sides as opposed to just directly in front of the TV. People are even able to watch tv from our dining table that's to the far side of the tv wall. The depth in blackness is lost a little the further to the side angle you view the TV, but it's not too bad, it's still good image quality. It has a lot of settings, a lot of options, a lot of apps. I would probably recommend getting a universal keyboard remote or something for typing in menus. The only flaw is that we have to keep re-connecting our wifi quite frequently (like 1-2x a week). It disconnects for an unkown reason, so it's tiring having to keep going through the "set up network" process and re-typing the password. But eh, even great things have their flaws. Image quality is impeccable, so I'll let it get away with that.

This is the first time in 15 years that my wife has REALLY noticed a difference in TV. I have been able to watch a few 4k programs (Youtube and Netflix) but can't wait until there is regular programming and then HDR in the future.

The best tv I have ever owned. Did 3 months of research before I purchased this tv. I debated between the LG oled tv and the Samsung. The Samsung had the better picture . The other feature that I like was the quick connect box that comes with this TV. This allows you to upgrade the TV with buying another tv. All upgrades are done thru a new quick connect box.

For a TV with everything, this is very good. Excellent picture and all of the cute extras you could want. The hand-waving motion control is certainly in the cute category: not all that useful but something to really start a conversation. I watch a lot of Netflix and this TV has an excellent Netflix app and handles 4K very well.

This is the second 65 Samsung Smart TV that I have purchased. Love the first one I bought in my living room and now I bought the curved one for our basement home theater. Curved is nice for the side seats viewing.

I love my new Samsung curved TV, however I thought the curved feature would give it a better picture when looking at it from a side angle. I don't think it makes that much of a difference from a flat screen version. Otherwise, I am very happy with the many features this TV provides.
