This isn't my first Samsung Smart TV, not even my first one this year. It's a Samsung Series 7, so it has a lot of features and great picture quality. I do prefer curved displays, but those are becoming less common so I settled on this flat one. It doesn't look any better or worse, just a preference. It has all the video streaming apps I needed and more. It also has a lot of smart features if you have the companion app for your smartphone, which is cool since you can mirror between devices or use the phone as a remote. Setup was also easy with said companion app. This TV is in my living room, so I don't watch it that often, but when I decide to watch something in the sofa it's more than adequate. The sound is fine, but if you're planning on using it for anything more than a bedroom you'll likely want a sound bar or other external speaker. My only real complaint is that it isn't that easily wall mounted. The mounts that I purchased had screws that were too short for this TV so I had to run to Home Depot up the street and search for longer ones.

A wonderful purchase we have been nothing but happy with! this TV is affordable, high quality and it's been probably the best TV i have ever owned. if you are not ready to go to the OLED or QLED price points yet, this one is definitely for you! it is extremely easy to use, and i have it working with a PS4 pro and streaming services for 4K quality. highly recommended!

Most bang for your buck of all 65" Smart TVs...

There is no doubt that this one is the most bang for your buck of all the 65" Smart TVs on the market. Got the Black Friday deal of $749 which included a free Samsung 9.6" E Tablet (a $200 item). You almost triple the price when you go to the QLED models, and quite honestly, I don't see how you can justify that much more money for what you get.
I also really liked the nice clean looking black frame. The ore expensive models had that silly gun metal look or silver look to them, which honestly takes away from the picture, in my opinion. I also use mine to display photography, by simply putting in a 32GB Flash Drive into the USB port on the back, and it has a nice slideshow option in the event you have people over. A wonderful way to display your photos.
I'm VERY pleased with my 7100 Series Samsung 65" 4K Smart TV. I also had them include the 5 year warranty for $189. I installed it on the wall myself, and unless you know what you're doing, it's well worth the $199 mounting fee to have Geek Squad mount it for you. Just my two cents, and I've done a few. Best Buy (North Canton) was very helpful, indeed.

A movie fan with a sports inclination I wanted a 4K TV larger than my 55 inch. Had a HD LG set that worked well for nearly a decade. Also, didn't want to spend a down payment on a house amount for the privilege of having 4K with HDR. The Samsung 65 inch model of NU7100 series met all my standards at a very modest $700. It is not a QLED much less an OLED but then with the money saved from not buying such state of art sets I can have an immense library for my modest Samsung. Color and quality are top notch and it is easy to setup and use. Working with a Bose Solo 5 Soundbar and a Bose universal remote that came with the soundbar. Added a 4K LG smart blu-ray player and for about $1,000 I have my 4K universe both easy on the pocket book and the eyes. All recommended.

Our 10 year old Aquos bit the dust. We bought this for $749 black Friday weekend. We had to run new 4k hdmi cable. Huge chore since our media closet is 50 feet away. BestBuy wont do that for you. You need a licensed electrician. But picture is as good as it was in the show room. My blu ray player is 5 years old or more. Blu rays look incredible. Xbox One looks fantastic. Amazon Prime looks amazing. Netflix as well. Verizon cable eh..meh..much better than old set but that alone isn't 4k. Perfect size for our family room. Kids want to watch TV with the family now instead of retreating into their rooms on their phones and tablets. Hope it lasts. Make sure you can run your input source to your TV. Paying an electrician to run this much 4k hdmi cable is really expensive. More than we paid for the TV. But sure is worth it now. If you just run Netflix or Amazon Prime, you dont need to run any cable.

Overall Samsung has made this 4K TV more simpler to setup. Range of color and contrast are very good. Speaker system also offers a good sound with rich bass. Customer service and sales at Best Buy was excellent.

The tv is a perfect size. The setup process wasn't terrible and the picture quality is fantastic once you get the setup correct and play around with the picture settings. The only complaint would be that the remote for the tv could be WAY better. Jumbled buttons, but I'm sure it's something to get used to.

I am not a videophile, but I do appreciate quality. This is my first 4K television and it looks beautiful, both the picture quality and build. It powers on INSTANTLY with full access to apps and all which is somewhat unprecedented for modern TVs which usually have a short boot time. It's very thin which I also appreciate. The UI is not clunky, something that has plagued other smart TVs. Zero complaints. If you are comparing it to other TVs and are considering it, just bite the bullet. There's ALWAYS going to be something better, no matter how much money you spend.

This is a great TV for the money...maybe not the best, but close to it. The 65 inch was the ideal size for our living room, and the upscaling (which was required as the majority of my media collection is in 1080p) worked really well. I could have sprung for the NU8000, but the lack of a true 120hz panel really didn't bother me, and even the speakers are impressive (though granted, nowhere near the quality of a decent sound bar, but then you can't watch 4k TV on a sound bar, so nothing does everything well). Just be prepared to adjust a decent amount of settings to get the best picture, and don't forget to stream your media through a decent HDMI cable, having first of all enabled UHC color so as to increase the accepted bandwidth in order to truly take advantage of HDR.

I use primarily as a computer monitor, along with 3 43" NU7100's. The results have been very good. No issues with maintaining PC output, as other Samsung's had a tendency to switch to different settings every time I turned the monitors off. Refresh rate with 4K is 60Hz, which is fine for me. Only issue is to get all multiple monitors to all run YCbCr444, which is probably more a video card limitation as opposed to the TV. For background, I'm using two GeForce GTX 1080 with SLI disabled (two monitors per card). On those occasions where I watch TV or Netflix, the output is OK, but I've seen better. But, then again, I got the 65" NU7100 from Bestbuy for $750.00. So, I've yet to see anything better in this price range. Even the TCL 65", which is a great buy, costs more than the NU7100.
Bottom line, I recommend this TV, along with the 43" size for computer monitors, and if it is still on sale, you can't go wrong with the 65" for everyday use. If not on sale, look at the TCL.

We’ve had this TV for over a year now. It was a great purchase! It has really good sound quality - we stopped using our sound bar for almost everything. The picture quality is really good, but it doesn’t have great HDR because of limited brightness. It’s clearly not an OLED TV, but for our viewing we wouldn’t get the additional value for the cost.
The apps are a bit slow to respond, but there’s a good variety. The other negative, is that the channel guide is slow to respond and has a weird response when skipping stations - like it was having trouble tuning into the channel.

Love the screen size, smart features work well, it was very easy to set up with my wireless.
Only issue for me is the sound, frankly, it’s not great, but a good reason to purchase a sound bar.

I purchased this TV to replace a failing 52" Projection model and have been very pleased with it so far. The picture is awesome and in my opinion just as good as many higher priced sets. The smart features are the best and easiest to use of any set I have owned. The only reason I gave 4 stars is in reference to the composite component connection which requires the use of a 3.5mm adapter (it comes with the TV) After using it a few times, it only gives a black and white picture on the screen. I know most people do not use composite connections anymore but I think it is important to include a reliable option for those that do need it. I also have had this problem with another set of different brand so I believe the manufacturers are not worrying too much about the reliability of composite connections these days.

I've had a Samsung 55" tv for nearly 10 yrs (Plasma) and decided a newer tv was in the plans. Bought this 65" Samsung and I am pleased with it so far. Older one had more options to set up and this one does not. Older style tv base was super for placing on cabinet and this new one has the feet and almost didn't fit. May opt for tv wall for displaying later down the road. Difference from a smaller tv to a bigger screen - you can see more details of the pictures/programs and weird at first viewing. So far a great tv, and was easy to hook up with direct tv with HDMI cable.

Amazing Screen. Light weight. Great color. I would highly recommend this TV. I started looking at the Q-Series Samsung’s and for my budget and for what quality I was looking for the Q-series unfortunately did not make sense. While also looking at other brands for the same quality TV they were more expensive (LG - $1,299) (Sony - $979) to name a couple. But, for the price ($699) you get a better picture than the Samsung NU6900 ($649). By far the best bang for your buck without jumping into the crazy cool sizes and new tech qualities. No brainer for me!

I will start our by qualifying my experience with audio video equipment as low. I am by no means an expert. I can say that I am happy with what I received based on quality vs price. The controls are intuitive, the sound is ok, I have a decent sound system that takes that out of the equation, but the stock sound is much better than the Samsung I replaced. It hooked up to my wireless easily, and I was up in running in no time. I do run this thing completely over wifi and am pleased so far. All in all, a good value.
