Great TV, only minor hiccups

For 4k/HD movies I lose about 8 to 10 inches of viewing 'surface' from the dreaded 'black bars' at the bottom and top of the screen. It's annoying, I don't like it. Even on my old LG UHD tv that was a third of the price of this one - I can adjust on almost every streaming movie/tv show or old DVD. Minor thing that I truly hope is addressed in future software updates.

Thank you for choosing Samsung's Q70A TV and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding your experience with picture size adjustments. Black bars on the top and bottom of your screen can be caused by either a setting on your cable/satellite box or by the channel or movie you are watching. However, the TV can be adjusted to help minimize this. On your TV, go to: Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Size Settings. You can choose from Fit to Screen, Zoom and Position, and Picture Size settings. Under Picture Size, you can change the size of the picture displayed on the TV screen to 16:9 Standard, Custom, or 4:3.
Should you need further assistance with settings, features, or functions, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST, 7 days a week. Or text HELP to 62913.

Very good TV, especially for the price. It was a huge step up from the one I had before. It was starting to go bad. I couldn't see enough of a difference to go to the Neo QLED. Very happy with picture and size.

The lower frequencies are noticeably lacking, which is quite different from a 55" Samsung QLED that I also own. The smart features are very well done.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the sound quality. The Q70A TV features SpaceFit Sound to optimize sound tailored to your environment and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) which further detects disturbances and enhances the on-screen voices for clear dialogue.
Go to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Turn the options on or off to meet your needs:
- Active Voice Amplifier is available only when the sound sensor of the TV is active and the sound output is set to TV Speaker, or a Samsung Soundbar interlinked with Adaptive Picture is connected.
- Adaptive Sound+ provides optimized sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content
- Adaptive Volume Automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV.
Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
You can also customize sound with Expert Settings.
