Great TV, but ARC not working!

Biggest issue is I cannot get ARC function to send sound to my AV receiver. Tried many settings on both TV and receiver, no luck. Is a separate digital optical cable the only solution?

Thank you for choosing Samsung's Q70A TV and for sharing your experience with ARC connectivity. Please first ensure your HDMI cable is connected to your both device's ARC ports (on your TV, this will be HDMI port number 3). Also, make sure you are using a high-speed HDMI cable with Ethernet Channel, sometimes called HDMI HEC cable. Please also check to make sure HDMI-eARC is enabled in the Expert Settings menu. Lastly, please verify that you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
