Crisp vivid picture and a definite upgrade to my P950 LG flagship model plasma tv. League of its own!

I didn't think I'd ever buy an LCD TV again, after enjoying the absolute black levels and viewing angles of my Panasonic plasma. However, after researching online (see: rtings.com), and seeing the TV in person, I verified that the Q80 is great in both regards.

I had Samsung 1080 HD tv which was very good tv after 12 year’s suddenly stop working. I bough this Samsung Q80 It’s a great tv for 4K content but unfortunately all tv signals from cables companies (spectrums- FuboTV app-slingtv app-Hulu tv app YouTube tv app) all of them are in 720p which is terrible so don’t expect to watch high quality images on this tv with those providers. If you wanna watch 4K Blu-ray player with this Q80 it’s great and sharp pictures.

Decided to have Best Buy do the installation and the tech team did an amazing job in setting it up and installing in on the wall with the wall mount and hiding the cords. Looks great in our living room.

QLED Q80 series

I don’t like the the main streaming services that is included but I’m using my Apple TV 4K so I’m enjoying all my favorites movie. Also you don’t need a external speaker because the sound is great.

Great QLED TV

The Q80R is just great! The picture, color and white to black balancing is incredible. I highly recommend this TV, you will not be disappointed!

The anti-glare was the main benefit of this TV set. I previously had a 6 series Samsung there. Huge differences. My only fault with the tv is Bixby the voice assistant. Sometimes it will randomly interrupt our tv viewing and start listening to us. At other times the tv will turn off or on randomly. Still a 5 star.

I only regret I did not get the 82 inch model Color, brightness sound. Everything is over the top. Love love love them

If you like watching movies and don't mind spending the extra coin. The Q80 is for sure the way to go.

Sports and Movies look amazing. You can stream from your phone without connecting it with wires. Great value.

I encountered a few problems that prevented me from having a positive experience. 1. The HDMI ARC did not work with my Denon receiver. I can't figure out why because it was working fine with my previous Panasonic Plasma. I had to purchase an optical audio cable to get sound out of my receiver. 2. The screws for the wall mount are way longer than I've seen before. I had to go to the Home Depot to buy M8 45 mm screws. They ought to include those in the package. The biggest problem though that's likely to cause me to return the TV is the infernal glare from the lights in the house. It's not just that the lights are reflected on the screen, they get decomposed as if going through a prism and bleed all over the screen! (see pictures). It's mostly visible in darker scenes but the additional $400 I shelled out for the anti-glare feature of the Q80 vs. the Q70 makes me feel cheated.

Please understand that we do not include wall mount screws because not every wall will require the same type of screw. Each customer’s mounting situation can be very different, requiring specific screws to ensure the best, most secure fit. A generic screw type included in the box might be inappropriate for a customer’s wall; the result could be the customer inadvertently mounting his TV insecurely.
