2nd time a charm
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I had this beautiful tv Wall mounted for about two weeks and one night it would not turn back on almost like it was a brown out or it just didn’t have enough power had to take back off wall and return the TV back to Best Buy get a refund and I am purchasing the same TV because the color and picture in HDR is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend it the only issue was maybe I got a lemon so I pray that this TV the second one which won’t be delivered for another two weeks is good to go. beside my first TV being a dud I highly recommend this TV. I am giving one rating because the first TV wouldn’t work after 10 days I don’t think that is fair for a $2500 TV will update my new review on the new TV

Best TV I have ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung Q90R quite simply has the best picture I have ever seen on a TV. There are lots of other amazing features to it, but the most important with any TV is the picture, and the picture on this TV is stunning. My previous TV was a Samsung Q7C, and THAT had a great picture, save for a few issues. Samsung fixed the only issues that detracted from that model- a distracting edge light, so-so contrast, and terrible viewing angles. The Q90R has none of these issues. There is NO edge-light issue with this TV at all. The blacks are deep and dark, even in letterbox format with a bright scene showing (see picture 1). The 'auto-brightness' feature seems to work very well, too. Poor viewing angles are also no-longer an issue thanks to the new technology Samsung has developed. On past models the picture would completely "wash out" when viewing from an angle. That is not the case anymore. In picture 2 you can see from an extreme angle it is still very easy to make out detail, with no wash out at all. As far as I'm concerned, Samsung has solved the LED contrast issue. Watching Netflix documentary "Our Planet" in 4k the picture is incredibly detailed-- better than any TV I have ever seen, period. Games also look amazing, and no burn-in danger! On my PS4 so far I've tried Assassin't Creed Odyssey, Spider-Man and Red Dead II and they all look incredible. The other features are what you would expect from a high-end TV, with a couple of nice Samsung touches. The Smart TV apps cover a nice variety, and are very easy to navigate (as is the entire menu). The built in Bixby feature is okay and seems to work fine, but I haven't had much use for it yet. I have a Samsung Galaxy Q9, and it found the TV instantly--I love being able to control it with my phone (since I ALWAYS know where that is, unlike my remotes) and the Smart Things app. My Alexa will also control it. Very cool. The "one connect" box is fantastic, as usual, and makes mounting the TV without wires showing a breeze. The sound is good, but a system like this requires a great sound system (it pairs well with the Samsung HW950 soundbar!). For quiet listening when I'm awake but the family is sleeping I pair it with my Bluetooth headphones. My one complaint is the remote is the 'cheap' version of the Samsung remotes, which I found confusing--the Q7C came with the sleek metal remote, this one is black plastic. It works fine but I would have expected a nicer remote for a TV of this caliber (and expense). It's a small thing and really doesn't affect my enjoyment of the TV at all, but why cheap out on the remote? If you're looking for the best TV on the market, this is it.

Suddenly went OFF!!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 5,5 months , with protection plan purchased, after 5,5 months the TV wont turn ON. Called Geek Squad to get service and due to COVID-19 situation all services , appointment, cancelled. Also , unable to ship any replacement parts. Called Samsung .. no response. Rings and hangs up. I believe the invisible cable is the issue. Best Buy , even with protection plan, can not ship the cable.. neither Samsung ( no response). I will purchase in BBuy and have it delivered.. and BBUY must reimburse me for the $300 dollars. I understand the situation as per COVID19. I am in home lockdown with my kids, one in the autism spectrum with no TV. I expect prompt shipment and support after purchasing a $3,5K TV!! HELP.

Samsung QLED you never forget your first
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it comes to technology I have a certain afinity for my first. I can remember when I got my first Super Walkman when not in use and closed it was the size of a cassette case. I realize that I am dating myself with this example but I have the same feeling of wonder and excitement when I think about the Samsung 65Q90R QLED I recieved for this campaign. The 65Q90R is not my first 4K television it is replacing my 2016 Samsung UN60KS8000 which was my first foray into 4K. I must admit when it comes to smartphones and televisions I can sound like a bit of a Samsung enthusiast. My last four HD television sets were Samsung 8 Series TV's the changes and improvements which have been made to Samsungs line of TV's over this period of time is very impressive. One of the first things I was struck by visually after unboxing the QLED TV was the tiny bezels which are barely noticeable. The Q90R when compared to my KS8000 is quite a bit thicker and heavier. This of course in no small part is due to the direct full array 16X backlighting of this 65 inch QLED display, The display is capable of getting very bright and showing vivid true to life colors. The Setup When the TV was delivered to my home the size of the box it came in was huge allowing for a good amount of protection for this precious cargo. The box, the TV was in, showed a couple dings on the outside. The delivery person was incredibly thoughtful offering to stay so I could make sure that the TV had arrived in good working order. Setup was very easy I was able to use my Galaxy S10+ smartphone coupled with SmartThings made the setup process effortless, quick and painless. Attaching the TV's stand is a 2 person job the base of the stand alone weighing around 20 lbs. you have to attach a plastic panel with 4 screws to the back of the TV. You will need to place the base of the stand on a flat solid surface and then you and your helper need to lift the tv and align the plastic backplate you attached to the TV previously with the base then someone needs to screw the base to the backplate while the other holds the tv steady. This by far for me was the most difficult part of the TV's setup. Now the TV comes set to the standard video mode which for me was a bit too bright and the colors looked a bit too saturated for my taste. Changing the settings was quite simple all i did was press the home button on the remote scroll left to the settings icon and select it. The first optiom of the settings menu is picture I changed the picture mode to Movie which gave the display a much warmer and more true to life appearance in my opinion. Once I had changed the picture mode I went into the expert settings to make some additional changes to the Backlight, Contrast, Sharpness, Digital Clean View, Auto Motion Plus Settings, Local Dimming, Contrast Enhancer and finally the Color Tone. Sound setting wise I have the TV send sound through the Audio Out/Optical port into My surround reciever. One thing I would recommend for all owners is to go into the support setting and check for software updates thus making your TV's software current especially this being such a new TV you want to install any new fixes. Features Quantum HDR 16X Now before this TV arrived I was happy with the picture my KS8000 provided If asked then I would honestly say that any newer TV would offer enough of an improvement for me to upgrade. My previous TV was edge lit and every so often I would notice some light leakage but all in all I was quite impressed with the picture my SUHD was providing me. Enter QLED after having this set for just over a week is that the QLED offers a significant improvement in picture quality compared to my 8 Series SUHD in every way from how bright the picture is to how vivid the colors are the display seems to offer a more realistic picture like you are looking out a window not watching TV. Quantum Processor 4K The majority of content that my wife and I view is 1080p and I must say that the TV's processor does a fantastic job of upscaling regular HD content the picture looks clear and natural not grainy or over sharpened.

Stay away from Samsung TVs go with LG or Sony

Stay away from Samsung TVs. I have had Sony TVs that last forever went with Samsung brand to save a couple of bucks. Big mistake! When it works its a good tv. This is nothing but headaches. Disappointed in Samsung
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked fine until it didn’t. 2 1/2 years isn’t long enough for a TV to work. Very disappointed. One connect boxes are discontinued. Which leaves us and this TV in the dump. How do you trust Samsung if they don’t back their products??
