65 Q90T
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely stunning, I saw the lower version Q70 in the stores on display but when I went to purchase online it was sold out. I was on the scale between lowering down or going up, the Q80 was not available so I decided to go with the Q90T series and I'm absolutely stunned by it. It has all the features I need and more.

Amazing Picture Quality and Versatility
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received our new TV 2 days ago and let me tell you it was so worth the wait! I' ve always purchased Samsung televisions as long as I can remember and let me begin by saying this television is every bit of AMAZING as I expect from Samsung. The colors are so vivid and UHD makes you feel as if you're sitting show side as they're recording. We use many streaming services and they are all crystal clear and the highest of definition. Not sure I'll let the kids game on this one, this one's mine! It's pretty amazing being able to use Amazon Alexa through the remote control, along with the numerous other smart features. There is an application you can download to your smartphone that converts your phone into a tv remote as well. There are numerous HDMI inputs to add just about any accessory you'd need to this television. There is legit not an angle you can be at that you can't see the picture not to mention with no glare what so ever. The setup for the television was very easy and pretty self-explanatory. It was a step by step process on screen to get things up and running. Honestly I have yet to come across anything with this TV that I'd consider being negative. The tv being able to self adjust the brightness is another amazing feature. It's amazing how far technology has come and knowing we can always rely on Samsung to be at the top of the technology ladder is always reassuring. One thing I've always struggled with Smart televisions is the sound. This television sound is phenomenal, it's almost like having a surround sound system without spending the extra money. All in all I clould'nt be happier with our new purchase. Thank You Samsung for always being reliable. “I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest feedback”. Chris353

Arguably the Best Consumer 4K HDTV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a savvy technology enthusiast and know a lot about the technical specs and features of high end TVs. This review will stay away from the technical details, however I will go into some of the features from a user/consumer standpoint that most would love about a high end TV. For reference I also own a Q7 and Q8 Samsung TV, and this is the best of them all. To start there is an improved the richness of the blacks to whites in this Q90 vs my other two sets. This TV, for now is set up in my Owner Suite sitting area right next to a triple patio door which lets in an awful amount of light. The Q90 provides an Ultra viewing angle to reduce glare and enhance color, providing a vibrant picture during the brightest time of day. Setting this TV up was easy as I did it myself, although it is a bit heavy to manage alone. I used the provided curved TV stand, but will have it mounted to replace my 65" Q7 TV in the main Family room. The set-up wizard easily guides you through setting up the apps and connecting your mobile devices for synching purposes and sharing of content back-and-forth. The wired or wireless connectivity makes it easy to download apps and quickly stream shows and movies to view content. The sound is amazingly superb to be utilizing built-in speakers, much better than any other flat TV that I have ever seen. Although there are two top and bottom built-in TV speakers used to adjust the sound to follow the action, I have set up one of my sound bars as the added sub-woofer provide good lows o hear the boom in movies. There is a cool ambient mode which also allows you to download your personal picture content or use Samsung's pre-loaded art backgrounds and scenery for unique décor to fit in to your living style. I'm looking forward to watching professional and college sports with the 240 Motion Rate, which should be a noticeable difference to the average TV watcher, especially after comparing an old TV versus this one. The remote is the same as the other Samsung's, however this model seems to be upgraded to seamlessly be programmed to control everything much easier, including separate sound and TV provider equipment. All-in-all this is arguable the best "user-friendly" high quality advanced smart TV that is available today. There is a lot packed and offered by Samsung and the home integration works with my Smart-Things app very well! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review. This has not impacted my opinion.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my 6-bedroom home, I have a Samsung TV 8 Series in 4 bedrooms, living, dining and den. Excluding the oldest one in the storage room, a 2003 32-inch Samsung Box TV with PIP and Subwoofer on the top. PIP in this box TV not only works between channels but also AV inputs. My first flat screen TV is a 2008 Samsung 6000 Series, which was just as good as any 8 Series in the last five years. For the last three year, every November I’ve been buying an 8 Series to fill in all the bedrooms and every corner of my 5000 sqft home where I feel a ‘window-to-the-world’ is needed. Here’s my feedback of the 2020 Q90T 65inch. Yes, had to get the Q90 this year because the 2020 Q80 is a 2019 7 Series. I needed 8 Series equivalents. Price $2,699. Discounted Price $1,899 as on 11/26/2020 Pros: 1. None. 2. Picture quality: The “Standard” picture mode on this Q90T (QLED) is “Dynamic” on 2019 8 Series UHD TV (LED) priced at costs $549.99 as on 11/23/2019. The picture for sure is a tad brighter but you can never tell unless you are watching the two TV’s side-by-side. You are paying $1349 more for just a little more brightness in the picture. Cons: 1. Picture quality: The pro on the top is in itself a con because you are paying 3.5 times more than the 2019 8 Series UHD. QLED Vs LED is a bunch of marketing garbage. 2. Sources: 1. HDMI - When switching between input sources the picture gets Black for a couple of annoying seconds that makes you feel like 10,000 years. I have two Sony Receivers 1040 and 1080 a PS3 and PS3 hooked on to all the four HDMI inputs. When switching between sources there are two screens that the TV displays before the actual source. First the name of the source (example PS3/PS4) a black screen and then the content of the source. If switching between any source to the Sony 1040 Receiver, you’ll have to take the remote of that receiver to choose ‘watch’ option. When switching to the Sony 1080 Receiver, you ’Il have to wait a couple second to watch the content. 2. Digital Receiver - There is none. So, no local channels even if you have the Antenna hooked up. 3. USB – External HDD is takes forever to download. Had the TV for a week, so far couldn’t watch anything yet, it’s still trying to connect. Once on External HDD it will not to switch to USB stick. You’ll have to choose a HDMI source from the Home>Source and select USB. 3. Network: on the first day it connected to my Wi-Fi during setting up. Turned it on the next day, it won’t connect to Wi-Fi anymore. Need to use Cable to connect to the internet. I needed this option so I can watch Videos and Pictures on my WDMyCloud. Was able to do it the first day but Wi-Fi won’t connect so cannot. 4. Tizen is a bunch of marketing garbage. Means nothing. Who cares what the Operating system is when its no better then Samsung 2018 and 2019 8 Series UHD LED TV’s. 5. Game Mode: Means nothing. When choosing PS4, it says ‘Game Mode’. This doesn’t mean anything. Previous generation 8 series are just as good without any drama of displaying Game Mode. Any positive comments by anyone else is the psychological effect for paying more for a product with a bunch of marketing terms (QLED, Tizen, Game Mode etc.) thrown at it. Save your money and buy any cheapest Samsung 8 series you can find. A 55-inch Samsung TV for safe viewing between 10 to 15 feet should be enough. Technology is getting better. Prices are getting lower. These are untrue statements. Because in 2020 you are paying for a Q90 that performs the same as a 2008 6000 Series. For at least the last 5-7 years this is the case with all devises from cell phone to laptops, cars and everything.

Amazing Picture Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall excellent TV, with some really smart functionality. Very easy to set up and use; the TV even recognizes the connected devices. Works really well in tandem with the Samsung Q90R soundbar, once connected to the TV all the setting of the soundbar can be configured on the TV itself using the TV remote, effectively combining the two into one whole system. I also like the centered stand, looks way cooler compared to the two awkwardly placed feet on the sides often used nowadays. Moreover, Samsung even made sure the stand is high enough to fit even the larger, high-end, soundbars. The picture quality of the TV is amazing, 4K HDR content really pops. The colors are rich and the blacks are really deep, thanks to the quantum dot technology. I also like the adaptive picture technology, the TV automatically adjusts brightness and other setting based on the environment, the brightness is slightly reduced when it's dark so it is easier on the eyes when watching movies at night. When the environment is bright the TV brightness is automatically increased so the picture is still very vivid and sharp. Ambient mode is a nice addition, to make the TV blend into your environment or on the contrary make it stand out by displaying some fancy art, pictures, or some useful information. Few more additions that would make the TV even better are support for Google Assistant and Google Casting and ideally replacing TIZEN OS with the Android TV OS which has more apps and overall functionality. The Quantum Processor makes a great job upscaling lower quality content to a stunning 4K! The remote is another thing that I think Samsung made great, small, and stylish without all the conventional buttons that you usually find on most TV remotes which are simply unnecessary anymore.

Super Bright and Surprising Black Levels
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a gorgeous TV. After receiving my Samsung Q90T, it took only couple of minutes to install to the central solid metal stand and get it up and running. The Q90T central software provides a step by step guide through the entire process. The interface of Q90T is quite easy to navigate and is very intuitive. You can quickly download some apps for quick access from the home screen. Which is very nice. The resolution of the screen is very nice. It crisp and sharp after some adjustment. The picture quality by default is little on the bright side and can blow out on some screen during movies and TV shows. However, after the adjustment, Q90T’s HDR10+ does provide rich & accurate color, deep contrast and realistic picture that feels life like. It provides great black levels, with its direct 16x full array with limited bleeding. Using Netflix and other stream services on this TV is great. However, Q90T is limited to only HDR or HDR10+ video format. You will not be able to tap into an apps that provides Dolby Atoms or Vision contents. The Q90T has speakers at the bottom and top for the simulated surround sound. Additionally, it has Active Voice Amplifier that analyzes the ambient noise and enhances the voices in the scene from movies and TV shows, so you can hear the dialogue clearly. The smart features and interface are very straight forward. You can use either Bixby or Alexa as your visual assistant. It come with couple of pre-installed apps already and provides an opportunity to download additional apps during the set-up process. Can you download Samsung SmartThings apps on your cellphone to control your Q90T and set-up your Ambient Mode+. With Ambient Mode+, you can virtually disappear your Q90T into the walls of your home, as It mimics the walls behind it or turns the screen into décor, artwork, or display the local weather. My overall experience with Q90T has been great. Comparing with my current OLED TV, the race is very close. I believe both TVs have great features. The Q90T does provide good options, if you are watching it in highly bright room. However, due to lack of different video format availability (Dolby Atoms and Vision), it is lagging behind in some sense and its lag of support for those formats on popular streaming services. Q90T is still a great TV that provides good picture quality, smart features and interface, nice design, and enjoyable for entire family. I would recommend the Samsung Q90T for any family if its available at the right price. Only disclaimer, I did receive this product at a discounted price, however, the honest opinions express in this review are my own opinions without any outside influence.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this TV up from the Buckhead Atlanta Best Buy this evening. My order was for an open-box "Excellent" condition TV. For starters, there was no box, which is unfortunate, but understandable. I was a little concerned as I watched the Best Buy representative directly grab the front of the screen when handling it. Unfortunately, any damage this may have caused is immaterial because as soon as I took the TV out of the Foam base I found a large gouge in the screen (see photo). Further, it was missing the pedestal neck and the eight M4x14mm screws for the neck. The listing's description for "Excellent" has three bullets: -Looks brand new -Includes all original parts/accessories -Typically contains packaging This television meets none of these conditions. Best Buy misrepresented the condition of this television. Mistakes happen, but a frustrating experience nonetheless. This review is only for the TV, but I would also encourage anyone in Atlanta to avoid this location (Buckhead). My purchase of this television was obviously a burden on the employee that helped me. I will stick to the Perimeter location from now on, where the Best Buy staff has been great.

Q90T is a great well feature 4K TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently got the Q90T to replace a broken KS8000 series Samsung TV. The comparison is night and day between the two sets. The black levels and blooming are minimal (with proper setup) and the FALD while less zones (Q90T has at least 120 zones Samsung does not list a number) than last year's model (Q90R) some how looks the same if not a bit better. If you properly setup the tv with minimal processing enabled you can obtain detail and clarity that I've not seen in their 4K QLED's. It also has wide angle viewing which allows for a wider off center viewing axis without loss of picture clarity. All in all I'm satisfied by the TV's visuals and lack of crushed blacks or heavy blooming. As well the HDR really shines in the set, the lack of Dolby Vision support does not stop this set from looking beautiful with vivid HDR support. Setting up the tv was a breeze, there are 8 screws to attach the set to the base that might require a thiner screwdriver than you might have. They no longer have the One Connect box on this model, but in lieu of it they have several channels to guide your HDMI cords for a nice clean look. Let's talk about the things I'm not too happy with. While this tv does offer some newer features HDMI 2.1 (HDMI 4 GAME,) VRR, ALLM, eARC (HDMI 3,) FreeSync to name a few. It is limited by the fact there is only a single HDMI 2.1 port which if you only have one game console is fine. The problem is in Samsungs non traditional HDCP setup. This can lead to issues with game consoles not showing properly or other connected devices showing up as things they aren't. It's been a problem for a long time and still even in 2020 it is an issue. At this point I've given up trying to fix this issue and have come to accept it, I shouldn't have to for $2699. Another issue is the lack of no gap support, for those that like to mount their TV's this could be an issue for you. And lastly the panel I got was really off in the reds and while I expected some calibration (it's a Samsung, they don't calibrate their sets well out of the box) I didn't expect to be fussing with it for 3 days to get the reds and greens just right. This set favors the cooler side of the spectrum. If you like those vibrant exaggerated Samsung colors you won't be disappointed, but for those looking for cinema accurate color do expect to take the time to dial it in. I started with the Warm 2 and ended up on Warm 1 to get the colors dialed in. In summary, I've enjoyed the set and it's features and the picture is beautiful. If you are looking to future proof a little by investing in a set with HDMI 2.1 you've got only a few options and this is a good one. Gaming on this set with VRR enabled is a promising start to when we get real consoles that can fully take advantage of this set's features. I would recommend this set to others like I did the original KS8000 when it came out.
