Best tv ever
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5We purchased this Samsung Q90 as an open box but we didn’t mind that. This tv is replacing a 5 year old Samsung led and let me tell you, it’s definitely the best tv we could ever buy, we were worried about the reflection due to big windows all around it, and this tv is amazing, you can see the picture perfectly even when the room is bright. It’s also preloaded with all the bells and whistles, we had to purchase an Apple TV for our old tv, but now we don’t need it anymore because it comes with all the apps that you can imagine, the sound is also very good for this slim tv, we have been enjoying it very much and we’re very happy that we decided to buy this Samsung Q90.

Good TV for too much money
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value2 out of 5Ease of Use2 out of 5Pros mentioned:Design, PictureCons mentioned:Dim, Hdmi input, LightingI had high expectations for this TV as is the 4k flagship and costs a lot of money. My choices came down to the LG CX vs. the q90t. I compared them in store and the qled just popped in the way the CX did NOT. I also did not want to have to worry about burn in as I have experienced it before on a plasma after a few years of usage. Pros: - truly breathtaking HD/4K content in HDR that pops like no other 4k TV on the market, even oled. - super fast interface that's fairly simple - TV is able to get blindingly bright - uniformity of panel is great - thin bezel and beautiful center stand make the TV look like art Cons: -doesn't do a good job handling motion. the picture Clarity settings are necessary to smooth out the video depending on what content you're watching and they can create the soap opera effect but luckily you can customize them to your liking. My seven-year-old plasma was better in this regard. - this TV is way too expensive - only one HDMI 2.1 Channel - some minor horizontal banding can be seen during fast panning on light colored backgrounds - some blooming of on black backgrounds. It's not that bad and is expected as this is not a plasma or OLED but it's still there. - game mode makes video games look like garbage I don't use it unfortunately. Degrades quality too much but luckily games look great without it. - menu app positions like the settings app should be customizable. Navigating settings can become cumbersome because you have to scroll all the way to the left. -All the privacy documents / policies the tv tries to force you to agree to are scary. I shouldn't have to worry about my tv spying on me or selling my data. Pro tip: - the judder setting in the picture Clarity menu is your best friend. It's the single biggest Factor in adjusting the smoothness of the picture. - Disable the Eco setting that auto dims the TV if you don't want the TV dimming itself. you have to change this individually for each viewing mode. Conclusion: I like this TV but its too expensive and has some faults. As a result I cannot recommend it to most buyers as I feel a cheaper led back light lcd set would suit their needs better. However, I would recommend this TV to the techies who want the most stunning 4k sets around and are willing to spend hours playing with the settings.

Phenomenal Tv!
Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5The Samsung Q90T 65 inch TV really is an excellent choice if you are looking for a top of the line TV. Our TV was delivered a week ago, so we've been using it regularly for a week now and have nothing but good things to say. Setting the TV up was incredibly easy; we opted to set the TV on a TV stand, and if this is how you would like to set up, all you really need to set up is two people (to lift) and a screwdriver (to install the stand). All in all, it took less than 15 minutes to get the TV setup and running. When we turned the TV on for the first time, it seamlessly guided us through a setup process with step by step instructions. It automatically recognized any devices connected via HDMI (such as a Blu Ray player, cable box, etc.) and added them to the bottom icons on the home screen. Upon setup, you have the option to create a Samsung account if you don't already have one, or login with your Samsung account if you do have one. This account will store your information and preferences and if you own another Samsung TV, can restore your settings/apps to match this TV. You can also setup the TV to work with either Samsung Bixby voice control or Amazon Alexa. We set up with our Alexa, and can seamlessly have Alexa control the TV, open apps, play songs, etc. It's really neat. The TV home screen has an easy to navigate menu at the bottom of the screen with all apps installed, with the exception of Netflix and Prime Video, which have dedicated buttons on the remote to access. This makes it really easy to navigate and access all of your apps and find exactly what you are looking for. We have used the TV to watch a variety of Netflix content as well as regular TV shows and sporting events. We watched the Netflix original movie "Tall Girl" as well as a few episodes of "13 Reasons Why." Both are available in 4K HDR, and I have to say, the 4K HDR picture on this TV is stunning. I have seen other 4K TVs, and in my opinion, the 4K HDR picture on this TV can't be beat. The regular HD picture displayed on this TV is phenomenal as well; we watched a few games of the NHL playoffs in HD on this TV, and the picture was incredibly crisp; the puck and all play was easy to follow and the players looked life like. It's a perfect TV for watching sports. Finally, for a newer TV, this TV delivers high quality sound, so while a sound bar is always an option, you might find that you don't need one. In summation, this TV is highly recommended if you are looking for a new TV.

The Clearest TV I’ve Ever Owned!
Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Color, Picture, Set upCons mentioned:LightingAfter using this TV, I am extremely impressed. From the moment I saw this device being unloaded from the delivery vehicle, I knew I was in for a treat! The first thing I love about this TV is how easy it was to assemble. All I had to do was screw two parts together (one part to the TV and then the TV to the actual stand). This allowed me to start enjoying my device within minutes. The next thing I love about this TV was how simple the setup process was. I simply plugged the TV in and was taken step-by-step through the process by connecting it to my Samsung account. The next thing I loved about this TV (once I got it all set up) was how clear and vivid the picture is. I’ve never owned a TV that had as great of clarity as this device. I can see every water droplet on blades of grass, every wrinkle on characters’ faces, and so many other ultra-fine details! This is definitely not something I’ve been able to accomplish with TV’s I’ve owned in the past. The color of the picture is ultra-rich and is very bright. It almost feels like I’m watching TV in a movie theater because of how colorful this screen is! The audio is also super impressive (almost as good as the picture quality). I can hear the finest notes and sounds as my content is playing. The audio seems like an even balance between clarity and bass. I don’t even have any additional speakers hooked up to the TV because of how great the sound is! The next noteworthy feature is how “smart” this TV actually is. It has an “auto-adjusting” capability that adjusts the picture to the lighting of the room. This is great for when I’m watching TV mid-day and the sun is coming through my windows. In terms of the actual functions of this device, as with all its other features, it amazes me! I have access to all the latest apps with this TV including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Showtime, and so many others! In terms of how easily streaming takes place, the TV seems to flawlessly open my desired apps and load content right away. The construction of this TV is also extremely impressive. The stand is constructed of super heavy-duty metal and is quite heavy in terms of weight. The only disadvantage of this TV is that occasionally, depending on the lighting, you can see a slight “rainbow effect” from the light rays bouncing off of the screen. This can be slightly annoying. However, it’s typically only noticeable when the TV is off. So, it’s not a huge deal. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this TV. It offers every feature I could ever want and offers a best-in-class viewing experience. If you’ve been looking for an upgrade to your TV and want to get the most from your favorite TV shows and movies, look no further! This TV offers everything you could ever want and more! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

Coming From Q80R to the Q90T - WOW
Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Color, Picture, Sound qualityCons mentioned:Hdmi inputI debated long and hard on which TV to get for 2020. For me, like many i'm sure, came down to the LG CX vs the Q90T. I needed a new TV because the 80R from 2019 (which I loved) was going into the bedroom. After much research and deliberation, I stuck with Samsung and I'm glad I did. I'm sure the CX probably has more accurate colors overall and deeper blacks, but I absolutely LOVE the vibrancy and pop the 90T has. And the black levels compared to the Q80R from last year are noticeably better and the best I've ever seen in a LCD TV. I don't own a Q90R but I've seen plenty in person and the 90T doesn't take a step back at all in my mind in this area. It's simply amazing what it can achieve. Some other things about this TV worth mentioning is the responsiveness in gaming. It's amazing. Idk if I'm crazy or not but when playing Xbox One X with VRR/Freesync on, it feels noticeably smoother than my 80R which was great itself. Spec wise from rtings.com would suggest this shouldn't be the case, but I've went back and forth and this thing feels buttery smooth playing shooters. Almost as fast as my 165hz gsync monitor when I game on PC. It's amazing. ALSO, i feel it is important to note that I'm not getting any ghosting while gaming. I didn't on my 80R either. I honestly feel top to bottom that there isn't a better TV for gaming than the 90T when it comes to responsiveness, smoothness, gaming features, VRR, Freesync Premium, Low Framerate Compensation (LFC), HDMI 2.1, and much more. It has exceeded expectations so far in this area and I'm a BIG gamer. I also love the eARC. I paired this TV with the new Sonos Arc and Sub. This is my first Atmos Soundbar and man am I impressed. What an upgrade from an old regular Samsung soundbar from 2015 that I had paired with the 80R. It's breathtaking with the way the sound fills the room and feels like it's coming from all directions. I also love the interface/menu. My Q80R has Tizen 5.0 operating system whereas the 90T has Tizen 5.5. It's not a major upgrade but being able to have so many more apps on your home screen/home bar is very convenient now that they resized the icons. It was a little sluggish at first navigating through the menu, but I'm guessing it's because I was downloading up all the apps, since then and especially since I've hardwired it to my router, it's been basically butter smooth and you can tell some speed improvements overall with the new processor vs the 80R which is nice. Upscaling seems better overall than the 80R as well as minor improvements in motion. Quick mention/bug is that I've noticed sometimes when I start up a movie from my Blu-ray player or a game on Xbox One X, the screen goes black for a bit (like 20 seconds or so) and then it comes back on once the game or blu-ray movie has loaded? It's weird and I'm guessing it's a firmware bug? I know it isn't my HDMI cables. It doesn't happen every time but it's worth mentioning so hopefully Samsung sees this and can offer further clarification. I'll wrap this up by saying my last 3 TV's have all been Samsung (prior to that I was a Sony guy). I've had hardly any problems with any of them. I had a 2016 KS8000 before the 2019 Q80R and now the 2020 90T. I know if I had went with the CX I would've gotten the extended geek squad warranty to cover the possibility of potential burn in. By the time you add the warranty in, I was going to end up paying close to $500 more. That played a key part in my decision as well as knowing myself and how I would always worry/baby the OLED. I didn't want that worry. I want to use my TV's like I always have which is to never think twice about it. And even if there's only a 5% chance of getting burn in, it would always be on my mind. With that being said, I love this 90T. I wasn't expecting much of an upgrade coming from the 80R, but I've been pleasantly surprised so far. I enjoy a brighter/more vivid image anyway and IMO it is without a doubt the best LED/LCD 4K TV of 2020 and a TOTAL beast.

Jaw dropping clarity
Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5The Samsung 65 Q90T QLED TV is an impressive unit that had my jaw on the floor with it's stunning picture clarity and vivid colors. I have seen this TV in retail stores and electronics expos, but seeing it in my own home was truly something to behold. This QLED TV is without a doubt the best that money can buy. The style and looks of this TV set are impressive with a brushed graphite look frame/border that has an upscale look to it. The back of the TV is flat and doesn't arc out. The pedestal stand is how I have it positioned on an entertainment console. The stand works very well and is great for having smaller footprint in the center of the TV versus having wide feet on the edges of the TV. I also like that I can tuck a soundbar into that small space of the pedestal. The remote feels nice in the hand and the aesthetics are nice. It takes some time to learn the plethora of functions this remote can control with the built in Smart Apps on this TV set. Believe me though, they are easy to use and to customize which apps you want to have easy access to. I love that I can have this unit and don't need to have any other set top boxes to use. I can get certain apps like Apple TV, Disney Plus, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Pandora, iHeartRadio apps. The software is fast and responsive to my commands. Bixby built into the remote is a great little voice assistant that can make life easier and more productive with your voice commands. I have enjoyed the synchronization that this one remote can control my Samsung Q80 soundbar efficiently as well. The picture is so bright and so clear when you watch a movie or a tv show. I have been loving the clarity and crisp video quality. The 4K movies I'm streaming have been beautiful in HDR10. Colors are vibrant and pop off the screen in a way that you feel like you can put your hand up to the TV and touch the scene. Water scenes and nature scenes have been so realistic at times. Watching TV shows such as football has been so realistic with no blurring motion and precise clarity. The black scenes in dark movies are truly black without being murky gray, and then the contrast of the colors looks so vivid. Hands down this QLED TV won't disappoint for watching entertainment. It's truly an all in one unit that can keep you and your family entertained for hours with it's streaming ability. Best TV that is out there and I didn't quite understand QLED hype until I got to see it first hand.
