I upgraded from an edge-lit 4k LED TV, and the difference is very noticeable. The blacks are dead black, close to OLED but not quite there. The back lighting with the tiny LEDs really makes all the difference. The contrast is amazing. I honestly didn't want to like the Tizen OS at first, but I changed my mind very quickly. It really works well and has plenty of apps. I prefer it to my Chromecast, which incidentally runs flawlessly on the tv, and is integrated into the Tizen menu system as though it is just another app. All in all, it is very easy to use. The TV connected easily to my Yamaha sound system via bluetooth, but I'll probably switch to optical. The internal speakers seem pretty good for stock, but I always prefer external sound. I run a computer on it often and it looks incredible. I have not yet tried games, but I can easily tell they will look so much better than my previous TV. It comes with a real center stand instead of those stupid legs, which makes it much easier to place on a smaller piece of furniture. Overall a very good value and the visuals are far superior to edge lit TVs.

Gift for my daughter. I love Sony's, but she is a gamer as well as a movie watcher. She has really raved about the native refresh rate and the gaming tweaks this set has built in. No Dolby Vision support (Samsung) but frankly if my current Sony gave up the ghost (and it is a very recent model) I would have no hesitation buying this Samsung for my home. Excellent television. Bright, good contract (deep blacks) and no observable lag. A winner.

First let me say that the Geek Squad (Dustin, Tom, John) were great. They did an "excellent job" mounting on my stand and installing/setting up the Samsung. They also get 5 STARS. The QN85C is great! Beautiful picture with deep blacks/bright whites. Easy to operate. The remote is simple and easy. Great price. This is a real improvement over my curved Samsung who's useful days were over. I would highly recommend this TV.

Ok, let’s get the negative stuff out of the way: The QN85C doesn’t have good low quality content smoothing. Fubo TV doesn’t look good on it (especially certain channels like Fox and NBCS for the Celtics). It might be a Fubo thing, but they looked good on Fubo on an old Toshiba tv I had a couple years ago. I’m surprised so many have said it’s good for watching sports, maybe they have a different streaming service or lower standards than me. Also in the same regard, there’s some macro blocking in some dark scenes for some movies. Seriously Samsung, other tv makers do better at low quality content smoothing, why can’t you? Ok, now the good: the tv is bright with great colors, especially for modern HDR content. It’s been criticized for not being a bright at the QN90C, but how bright do some people want their screen? If I wanted to watch something brighter I’d take a pair binoculars and look at the sun! On that note I watched the Matrix Revolutions on Max and it looked phenomenal, especially for a 20 year old movie. I also watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and was completely blown away! The brightness, the colors, the vibrancy, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I want to love this tv more, and it is very good, but Samsung, please fix the low quality content smoothing issue.

Outstanding picture quality, easy to setup and use. My only negative is they got rid of the greatest, most ergonomic remote ever made. Why? So they could put totally unnecessary Netflix, Prime, and Disney buttons all over it. So lame.

My family and i have really enjoyed this tv. Really vright colors she well in a very bright living room. Now, the left corner has been getting darker and darker while the rest of the screen is like new. Ive tried and tried to get someone to come look at it since im still under warrenty. Well, I've had no luck. The call center over seas tells me one thing but, what they tell me never happens. Hopefully this review reaches someone that can actually make something happen.

The color and upscaling for this TV is great. The black contrast makes the pictures really pop and the 120hz refresh rate makes for excellent viewing.

Great color, responsiveness of interface, sound and easy to mount

The worst thing about buying TV’s is reading or watching the reviews… I went with this model because the price was right and I can honestly say I am happy with this purchase. My series X looks great, streaming TV and Movies look good, the sound quality is good. Operating the tv is easy when you get the feel for the remote and settings menus.

This is our 3rd one of these Samsung TV's we have purchased in the last year. Both of our homes are very bright and other tv's just faded out and were hard to see. These are so easy to watch and their intuitive set up is wonderful!

Great TV with great refresh and color and easy to use

Picture is out of the park sharper, brighter, and more spectacular than I imagined. The colors are rich and over the top beautiful. We are re-watching movies that we have in oir collection. It is like seeing those movies for the first time. I did not rate the TV sound we purchased a Samsung surround sound system. EXCELLENT!

So far I had this TV for approximately a week and a half now.  Im still learning everything there is to know about this TV but so far I absolutely love it. The picture quality is amazing. The sound quality without a sound bar is still amazing.  I was looking for a Labor Day deal but they were sold out almost everything that I wanted so I had no choice but to buy 2023 model this model it’s a bit pricey for me but still happy with the purchase. I’m sure it’ll go on sale and I’ll be really upset lol. If you’re looking for this TV you won’t regret it it’s absolutely great in my opinion 

Love the Samsung tv! The picture is so clear! Sound is great!

I need a tv upgrade and i knew it had to be another Samsung. I am pleasantly surprised by the vibrant colors and fast refresh rate while watching sporting events and for video gaming. I couldnt be happier.

Great TV...Color is beautiful..picture is sharp. Have had many people comment on how clear and sharp the picture is.

Great picture, great price. Ao many options for TVs these days, it was good to see the differences side by side and decide which one was best for us.
