I replaced my lg dryer with this Samsung because I bought a Samsung washer after my lg top loader was recalled. The lg dryer was far better at drying the clothes I find. I will be stuck with this until it breaks and I can get lg again!

The dryer seems fine but Best Buy's service is terrible! It took nearly a month to finalize the installation. We ordered on-line a gas dryer and all the attachments that we were instructed to buy for Best Buy to install. We then called customer service to inquire about our old units being recycled and we went through the whole purchase again. We wer r told it would be 2-weeks for installation. This seemed long but we accepted it. The installers show up and install the washing machine but tell us they aren't licensed to install gas appliances and that we'd need a gas conversion kit anyway for propane. Wouldn't you think they would have mentioned that when we ordeed the machine? We called CS and were told that the installers could install the machine. The installation crew got on the phone and apparently the crew was right Again, wouldn't you think Best Buy wold know this? Now, we're told it will be another 4-days for the right creward to show up and they'll have the converter. On Monday we call to confirm the Tuesday hookup and we're told they won't be there until Wednesday. So we call CS again and we're assigned a case manager who will call us back within 2-hours. That didn't happen. Well, this went on and on with nearly 10 calls from us and the final hookup also required another hose for the dryer steam function and a "Y" fitting for the water that was never mentioned. We were treated like idiots and never so much as got an apology. So, the unit may be good but that service has lost us as customers forever.

I picked this up when I got a new washer, to replace a 12 year old front loading LG pair I had. Loved them, they worked great, never had any problem, and they still work great. But I became enamored of the pre-wash sink feature in the washer that's the other half of this, so obviously I needed to get a new dryer as well then. This installed about as easy as any other I've done, the only odd thing was the water line. Fortunately for me, even though the water line isn't included, the people who delivered it had a new one that they had opened for testing on another install they did this week, so they gave me that, saving me the trouble of having to run to get something so I could hook this up. Leveling it was quick and painless. I spent more time pulling off the protective film and all the tape than I did hooking up the gas and water and vent and leveling. It's not too loud, about the same noise level, maybe a little less, than the LG I replaced. I like the vent check test it will do to confirm that air flow is adequate for it to function. The door can easily be set to flip the other way, but since I have to have this to the right of the washing machine due to how the vent is on the far left side, and there's no way to get the dryer on THAT side without having a vent hose twisted up like a worm on a hook, the default opening from the left is what I need. It works well. I still haven't tried the steam options being a single father with one son, so our laundry needs are pretty simplistic. It dries about the same speed as my front loading LG dryer did. I see it adjusts a bit too for when it senses things aren't quite dry yet, and it adds more time to the estimated time remaining. The one complaint I can make would be that I used to love being able to set stuff on top of my washer and dryer, since they're in the laundry room that is the entrance to my house from my garage. They'd accumulate things on top of them until I figured out where some things needed to be kept. With the slope on these, I can't do that anymore. But they look gorgeous and function well, which is more important than being able to store things on top of them. Maybe it'll force me to be less cluttered ;) And I can't turn on "wrinkle care" *after* the fact. For example, start the dryer, have like 10 minutes left, and need to run somewhere for something. I'd like to be able to simply press the button so it keeps things randomly tumbling until i return home and can pull them out, but it doesn't allow that. Why, I have no idea, since to me it seems something that OUGHT to be able to just be pressed at any time. Fortunately you don't have to STOP the cycle and start a new one, simply pressing "Pause" is enough to let you turn on Wrinkle Care, then un-pause, and it continues right where it left off. All told, I'm satisfied with it. Things get dry, there's a lot of options here, more than I'll likely ever use, but as with the washer, there are a few there that would just be handy to have if the need arises. Looks really nice in my laundry room, so I can't complain.

The dryer has given me trouble since I bought it. I had probably two good years with this dryer. Not worth the cost.

    Worst dryer

Worst dryer. Stained my clothes when dried them. Geek squad couldn’t find the problem and replaced almost all parts of the dryer and caused me to run out of my warranty. Still having issues with it. Worst buy and Best Buy isn’t even helpful about it.
