Be prepared for the unfixable, dark band.

Like every Samsung product. It breaks down just after the warranty expires. A sudden and unexplained dark vertical band is a known issue with these TVs and my experience is no different. Was an amazing TV until it wasn’t.

Good TV, having frequent network connection issues

Though overall a good TV, I see frequent connection issues with the TV. Samsung tech has already visited once and done service, and the problem still continues. Now working with another Samsung technician to understand and gain resolution. Will update after that.

I was shopping with my daughter and this TV was next to the NU8000. Same thing was being displayed on both and they looked identical. So I decided I would save the extra $500 and get this TV. Brought it home, looked great on Netflix, cartoons, and movies. Then, the Sixers game came on and it was blurry to the point I turned the channel in frustration. The next day I unmounted, reboxed and returned this TV for the 8 series. I learned about 60/120 processing the hard way. Don't be cheap, always go for the better refresh rate. Unless you don't watch sports, then save away.

    Get Premium UHD instead

Bought this TV but ended up exchanging it for one with 120 HZ refresh rate. I thought I wouldn’t notice the difference but after watching it for some time, I really wanted better refresh rate. The movement of images just looked jittery especially in action movies or sports. If the Samsung you’re looking at just says UHD, spend a little more and get Premium UHD especially for a 75 inch TV.

Ok for tv shows, bad for movies

Full screen viewing of 16x9 aspect ratio content looks pretty ok. However watching films that have letterboxing is just plain bad. The black bars of the letterboxing reveal the edge lighting issues that create a bad flashlighting effect in the corners of the screen, its just so distracting. Additionally, the setup of this television is downright dumb. The instructions tell you to lay the tv FACE DOWN to put the legs on. And it requires that you have a table at least as big as the tv itself. However, this won't be an issue if you're wall-mounting.

I've nothing but issues with this TV since purchasing. I've had issues casting to the TV from my Android phone still do from time to time I have to restart the tv for it to cast. I've had Samsung and geek squad to come out and place main board and reset the tv. This smells like getting what you pay for. Is deal truely a deal.

The blacks are really not that black and the motion response is horrible. Factory audio is poor at best. I have owned 3 Samsungs in the past and this is the only one disappointed in big time.

Not satisfied. Color is okay but it’s not really sharp. Don’t know if it’s because it’s too big but we have same brand only it’s 55 inch. But this one had to return it. Not so happy.

      Naya:

I am very sorry to see that you are dissatisfied with the image quality of this TV. The 75" NU7100 is designed to deliver 4X the resolution of Full HD, and is able to upscale non-4K TV content to 4K via a powerful UHD engine. Coupled with PurColor, Motion Rate 120, precision lighting, and other advancements, this model was meant for fluid motion, crisp details, and vibrant colors.

Amazing picture. Terrible processor speed. Always get the 240 on a TV this size if you watch sports. Movies only? Save money and enjoy this one

    Terrible For Watching Animation

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Yes, the picture is gorgeous and if you limit yourself to watching live-action content the Samsung UHD TVs are fine. However, if you're a fan of animations like Rick & Morty or Family Guy or The Simpsons these models are just plain awful and suffer from a phenomenon similar to the effect of persistent phosphors in old-school tube TVs. In short, black objects moving against a white background (think eyes of cartoon characters) will leave persistent and annoying motion trails -- an 'after-image' that can sometimes look like smoke trails -- and once you see it you can't "unsee" it. As an aside, the UHD TVs from Sony don't suffer from this so it is definitely a flaw in the Samsung design. The guys from Geek Squad said they'd never seen anything like this either and tried replacing both my LCD panel and my main board but it did not resolve the issue. How this flaw made it past the initial design stage is a mystery but as I said, if you're a Rick & Morty fan consider a Sony XBR. You have been warned

Far Right Big Brother turns itself on

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I love my Samsung refrigerator; and the TV picture is pretty good. But I bought this TV almost 3 years ago and have had 2 mysterious problems. The infamous not requested "I'm Listening" command overriding the TV whenever it wanted. After months of research I was able to work my way through the multiple setting screens to turn this "feature" off. With that fixed, Big Brother has come again in the form of automatically turning itself on about 30 seconds after I have turned the TV off. Additionally, it turns itself on to a ultra far right "America First" station broadcasting far right propaganda. My remote is clean and fine (suggested fixes) but I am stuck with having to wait to see if the TV is going to turn itself on before leaving the house. Will never buy again.

    4K Streaming NOT Supported

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Samsung 4K Televisions CANNOT stream 4K content via their browser (so you can't watch fubo.tv 4K content). From their support staff "Actually our TV's browsers are different then the usual browsers, for live streaming the flash players are needed which are not compatible with our TV models." Please note this if you may ever want to stream 4K content on a Samsung television, you may be out of luck.

      TigerPetFish:

Please know that the Samsung NU7100 does support 4K content through the TV’s browser via apps such as YouTube. However, Fubo.tv does not stream in 4K -- not through TV browsers or PC browsers. Thus, the limitation does not appear to be with the NU7100, but with Fubo.tv. In addition, please know that the resolution of your viewing content can vary depending on your account type/level and/or network speed.
