Okay TV, terrible operating system

In fact, there’s a noticeable cloudy “aura” surrounding players when watching football. Older movies also seem a bit pixelated, something I didn’t see on my Vizio led. The user interface is terrible. The TV menu pops up every time you turn on the TV, and the only way to exit out of it (before it times out) is to use the tv remote. My xfinity remote won’t close the TV menu. It comes with several uninstallable apps, but I think every smart TV does nowadays. The TV menu is difficult to navigate because it constantly tries to steer you toward the Samsung TV app. When trying to open YouTube or Netflix, it takes a minimum of nine button-pushes on the remote. I’ve found it’s actually faster to go to the search option to open your apps because it keeps a memory of your searches. There’s no virtual remote. You have to download the SmartThings app, which isn’t practical for controlling the tv. It comes with Alexa installed, but she will always prioritize something showing on Samsung TV over an app.

Whitish spots on the screen

They were only intermittently visible - one some of the programs. I didn't feel like researching it in details, beyond the fact that many people experience the same phenomena, and there is no cure. Ended up replacing this TV with an equivalent size Sony OLED. Which is much more expensive, but otherwise is great.
