We did a lot of research and looked at many TV's before we decided on this Samsung. Our expectations were very high because of the price but we were not at all disappointed! The picture is unbelievable when we are watching 4K, but it is also fantastic when watching regular TV! When we watch sports it feels as though we are on the field or court with the players! The Best Buy crew spent a lot of time with us while we were deciding, and the Geek squad were great in the design and the installation!

I have purchased 2 of these units, one for my customer and the other for my show room, in both cases each unit was crazy clear and super easy to do the initial set -up. I was particularly impressed with anti glare treatment on the screen, it really works well in bright rooms with large amounts of ambient lighting. I am a Home Theater contractor and I've seen a lot of TV's and this Samsung 78" is amazing, especially after it's been calibrated!

I wanted a big 4K TV with High Dynamic Range and wide color gamut capabilities. The 78JS8600 is not as big as I wanted but choices are very limited in TV sets larger than 80" at least for under 10K. In 2016 there is a flat Sony 85" and an a flat LG 86" for around 10K but they are IPS panels and don't have the deep blacks I was looking for. Another Samsung was out there, the 2015 85JU7100 but it had very limited availability when I was shopping and it did not have Quantum Dots (wide color gamut.) I am not a big fan of curved TVs. I don't really understand why Samsung insists on using curved screens on their flagship TVs. So the 78JS8600 was the logical choice. It is something of a special model and introduced in the fall of 2015. It was the only 78" flat model in the 2015 SUHD family. Unlike the JS8500 models which are very similar, it does not support 3D, a feature I did not need anyway. The new 2016 SUHDs TV just coming out also lack 3D. Apparently most people don't watch 3D at home and Samsung decided it could drop the feature with out loosing too many sales in 2016. The 78JS8600 is bright with excellent color, good up scaling and deep blacks. The 78JS8600 is edge lit. I would prefer full array local dimming but in big Samsung that technology is reserved for the top of the line curved flagships. For most content the edge lighting of JS8600 works quite well providing good blacks and modest blooming. It is not a perfect TV. The top and bottom edges show some minor light bleed on certain scenes. This is barely noticeable on the top but occasionally is distracting along the bottom. This never occurs on all white or black screen and it intrudes maybe 3/8 of an inch along the bottom bezel and perhaps 1/4" along the top. Most people would never notice it. Again, I want to emphasize that it not noticeable on most scenes. Motion is good for an LCD the NBA Finals look great. The built-in Smart Apps are comprehensive and easy to. I have it hooked to a Denon X4200w with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2. I have a PC running Windows Media Center for Comcast and it up scales my cable channels nicely to 4K. The Samsung accepts 4K 60P 444 content from my Nvidia Shield TV and and the Home Theater PC without drama. The edge light bleed on the bottom keeps me from rating the 78JS8600 a 5 Star but considering I bought the set on end of model year closeout it was a great value. Just wish it was 85" as I sit 14 feet from the screen. I want to give shout out to the Geek Squad the delivery and basic setup was on time and was a positive experience.

Easy to install and the clarity and color are awesome. This is about our 6th Samsung TV and certainly the best.

Great picture and features. However, the mini connect kit threw me at first. Rather than having integrated I/O for HDMI etc, there is a min-connect kit that connects to the TV through a Samsung proprietary cable. A separate min connect kit is remote from the TV and accepts all of the HDMI inputs.

I have absolutely no complaints about this TV. Can't wait to watch epic movies on it, the playoffs to see my warriors and the next super bowl! Expensive but worth it!

Great picture! Found out it was on sale a few weeks after purchase and Best Buy refunded the difference.

The first tv had to be retuned due to when watching the screen would go black happened several times returned it for a different one. Second tv had terrible edge blooming so had to return it also. Going to purchasie a Sony when they come in. I would like to say that the customer service at Best Buy is . They treated me like a Valued customer.

Love this Samsung 78 inch TV. Only issue is that picture quality falls off more than I'm used to when viewing screen from off center. Otherwise 5 Star.

Love this TV, has all the features I want, panel looks great and the picture is crisp and clear. The 4K is great and I love the one connect. Lastly the Samsung link features that allow for screen sharing with my Samsung phone allows me to share or stream from my phone.

We are just amazed at the depth, clarity, vibrancy and motion that it knocks our socks off. Bundled with a Samsung soundbar and you are only missing "smell-o-vision" to make it true reality viewing.

Bought this TV open box after a warranty refund from a defective TV. Geek squad was great. Awesome picture, size, wouldn't change a thing.

The Samsung JS8600 Series UN78JS8600FXZA LED Smart 4K Ultra HD TV has one of the best pictures out there. Only drawback is that it's not 3D.

Great TV But Indo notices the Edge lit LED light when the screen is dark. It kinda annoys me. I Didn't expect to see that with a $8k TV.
