Massive Disappointment – $6,000 TV Died

The TV worked for a short time and then suddenly went completely dead. No power, no red standby light, nothing. I tried every troubleshooting step: unplugging, switching outlets, checking the remote, pressing the manual power button — absolutely no response. Meanwhile, my older, cheaper TV (which cost a fraction of the price) still runs perfectly years later. This one? Completely bricked within a couple of months.

Speaker problem

I did a software update and did all the diagnosis they recommended and could not fix it. Best Buy replace the TV with another, it has the exact same issue. I found on an AV forum This has been a common problem with Samsung TVs for the last couple years, it is a design flaw, where the back plastic vibrates when there is bass.

Save your money….don’t buy a Samsung.

I paid nearly $7,000 for this TV, and after just six months, the screen went black. Now I’m stuck waiting for a repair on a product that should have lasted years. Even worse, the previous Samsung flagship TV I bought in 2023 had the exact same issue. Two major failures in a row—I think I’m done with Samsung.

Disappointed in both the product and the brand

I strongly recommend that you spend your hard-earned money on a TV other than this one. Even more disappointing than the product, is the non-existent 'customer service' component of Samsung I purchased this TV in April 2024 from Best Buy, just as it was released. As I bought multiple Samsung TVs at the same time, by the time I got to opening and installing this TV, i was outside the Best Buy return policy by 1 day. To assist with my issues, Best Buy directed that I work directly with Samsung. Best Buy made no attempt to aid beyond that. I have had problems with the TV from the start. It has never functioned properly. Initially it would randomly turn on at all hours, turn off while you are watching it, and then randomly power cycle repeatedly. On the first in-home tech visit they could see a number of error codes and the CPU and one-connect cord were replaced. This however did not correct all of the problems. We have continued to have issues with the TV randomly powering off. Sometimes once a day, sometimes 10 times in 20 minutes, etc. There is no pattern and it seems to affect various media sources - Disney, Netflix, Youtube, Samsung's prepopulated channels, etc. Next, I scheduled a second in-home repair appointment only to have Samsung cancel the appointment the day of, without notification to me. When we rescheduled the appointment, a Samsung tech came out and next replaced the power unit. That second 'repair' still did not correct the problem - the TV continues to turn off and not work appropriately. Today, just over 4 months from the day of purchase, was yet another tech visit. The samsung tech called samsung, and Samsung support stated that there was a known issue with an "App communication issue". The Samsung tech said that they had now seen it in another new TV. So I asked the tech what Samsung was going to do, give me a new TV as a replacement as clearly this TV, or the software within the TV is not working as advertised and does not appear repairable? And he said no, they aren't recommending to do anything. And so he made no attempt to repair my non-functioning TV. How a customer could spend any amount on a TV with a stated 'warranty' (let alone an $8k TV) without a brand being willing to stand behind that 100% after attempting 3 repairs is completely lost on me. As a household of nothing but Samsung TVs at present, I can assure you that won't be the case in the future. Dont make the mistake we did. Buy something other than this TV. And take a chance on a brand other than Samsung. For BestBuy, I will be more than happy to provide my order number to substantiate my purchase. I also have the myriad of reference numbers for Samsung to validate the statements above.

Not 8k and defective

Also full of deffect ,warped screens, panels falling off on the back, a constant grid line in the background once your eye sees it you will always see it ,water stains inside the screen. Also motion was horrible and full of what i call the Samsung Static
