The SDD is fast and reliable. I had zero issues installing it. My computer that was nearly dead because it is so slow is now normal or better. The drive has made a huge difference in speed and reliability.

turned my 2012 laptop into the fastest beast I have ever used. best upgrade a person can make. either this or get a new laptop. chose new hard drive. reliable thus far and fast. did I mention fast. its fast.

It is nice to have a Solid State Drive so we can add extra programs and apps to our computer. We load lots of pictures to our computer which takes up memory and this seems to handle the load.

Buying this SSD was like buying a new PC. A fresh installation of Windows 10 boots in about 5 seconds. And after been using it for a few weeks now, it still boots very fast! Highly recommended.

Installed on an older MacBookPro 17inch Late 2011 replacing the aging 750GB 5400RPM Seagate HDD which was starting to show errors. The actual physical install of the SDD was a snap since it was a direct replacement, took a bit more to move the various partitions that were present on the HDD to the SDD. (MacOS as well as Win7 under Bootcamp). Used CC for the OSX side and WinClone to copy the Windows partition. Once everything was finished the laptop blazed through most tasks that used to take a while that was HDD dependent. Let's see how the SDD holds up over time. Made sure to enable TRIMM under El Capitan since Apple decided to enable TRIMM support for 3rd party SSD's last year.

If a SSD fails it will usually be on the front end of it's life and after a few weeks my drive is still working well and I'm beginning to trust it. This Samsung SSD seems to be nice well built piece of electronics. It feels solid and I think it would work well to replace a mechanical drive, increase computer reaction time and increase storage capacity. I also bought a smaller Samsung SSD of the same model to back-up several OS images once I had some experience with it because I felt the exterior was solid enough to not need a case if I was going to store image backups on it and put it in a drawer.

This drive has increased the performance of my workstation considerably. I no longer have to wait extended periods for large files to open and save. The boot time is incredibly fast now too.

I bou8ght this item to replace my factory one. It was so easy to install and program. once, installed I noticed a better performance and speed in my computer. Definitely a better upgrade

Easy to install and overall a great storage option. Samsung did a great job with their SSD. Highly recommend. My PC boots in about 7 seconds and programs start faster than ever!

Replaced the original failing 500 GB Hard Disc Drive in an 8 year old PC with this 1TB Solid State Drive. What a difference in start up time and all around speed.

I bought this because my C: drive was a much smaller SSD and I kept running out of drive space. Easy to install and works great - my computer boots up in seconds not minutes.

I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. The Samsung Data Migration software provided with the drive worked flawlessly, and I was booted up and running within an hour. My data access speeds have noticeably improved, and I have no complaints so far. I highly recommend this product.

Welcome to the biggest upgrade to computers in the last decade. Now that longevity is less of an issue with solid state drives, there is little reason to stay with a traditional drive. I have a couple of these drives. One on 6 year old i7 build, and one on a new gaming computer build. I switch from a HDD on the old computer and my boot times went from about 2 minutes to less than 15 seconds. Loading times for programs are also a fraction of what they were. I used the included Samsung software to transfer the data, and it was as simple as a couple clicks. The Samsung software will also optimize the OS software to work with the SDD, which is a nice touch.

My all-in-one machine was running with a 7200 RPM 2 TB HDD before and was taking a while to start up and log me into the machine. I have a lot of photo-editing software on my machine as well and those applications would take a while to load. Fitting the 2.5" and much thinner SSD into the large 3.5" bay was the primary challenge given the way it sits in an all-in-one machine, but I noticed significant speed improvements of things loading 4-8 times faster. I've purchased several Samsung SSDs before as well and all have been fantastic.

Needed a reliable hard drive to replace my crashed hdd and chose a ssd 1tb. It was easy to install using a ssd mount to secure into my desktop. It's working great so far.

After thorough research in SSDs for Macs... my search yielded outstanding results for the SAMSUNG series in SSDs. But as we all know we can't just go off of reviews we need to go off of perhaps, personal experience as well. This particular SSD comes equipped with data migration/ cloning software which makes this process a breeze. Super easy to install. And I must say these SSDs are extremely light to touch. Using Carbon Copy Cloner and Samsung data migration it me me about 1.5 hrs for full data clone and installation. I highly recommend Samsung SSD across the board. Great purchase and needless to say my Mac is pretty dang happy now too! :)

I have had this for a while, the speed is what i expected and it is much more reliable than other brands I have had in the past that would just die out. Would buy this again.

In terms of performance, this is one of the best SSDs out there. I used it to replace the SSD in my Macbook pro and have also used one to add to my Mac mini. Blazingly fast...

This was my 2nd hard drive upgrade to SSD. The first was a WD which came with no instructions and required downloading the migration software. The Samsung included instructions and software on a disc. I already had the SATA-to-USB interface adaptor so the job was easy.
