Installed this in my computer and it is so fast it starts in 15 to 20 seconds that is from button pushed typing in password and up and running, the access time is great, it will install a program that used to take 10 to 15 minutes to install, to installing in about 1 minute, same program on the same computer just the drive changed, and the backup program it comes with is excellent, it mirrored the drive including all files and settings.

I bought this drive to replace a 1.5TB 7200 RPM HDD and the difference in performance is unbelievable. I was having to wait about 2 to 3 minutes from the time I started my computer to the time I was able to use applications. After replacing with this drive the total time from power on to application use is less than 20 seconds. I really didn't believe that this drive would make that much of a difference. I did not use the accompanying Samsung software but rather a 3rd party cable and software package to clone the drive. Still worked great!

I picked this up on sale, and installed it into my PS4 Pro. So far it has been excellent! Games seem to install much faster than what I've seen posted online from others. And I haven't noticed any hiccups or drive accessing on the few games I own. Then again, the games are designed with minimal drive access hiccups to begin with. Still this SSD runs much cooler than the standard spinner that was in it, should be much more reliable over the years of use it will gets and provide silent operation as well.

Boot up time changed from 1.5 my minutes to less than 10 seconds. My laptop feels brand new. Be sure to overpatition but skip rapid mode.

I owned the 250mb version about a year ago and had a 1tb standard drive... it was time to dump the old 1tb and buy this one. Price was nearly identical at Amazon so went down to the store and bought it. The manual shows a USB connector to hook up to the drive but it wasn't included. I believe that was something extra but from the manual it looked like it was missing. Download the software, enable the drive, easy to do for people with limited computer repair/experience. Great price and great quality.

I picked up 2 of these drives to put into a RAID 1 config and mirror the data I want to backup for years to come. No issues so far and hopefully I can get many, many years of use out of my new config. Holler!

My laptop was having problems with the hard disk. I decided to replace it with this drive. I had a slight problem transferring the contents of the old disk to the new SSD but that was due to physical problems with the old disk so it took me a little longer to get everything working. Once everything was moved, the speed up was dramatic. Startup is much quicker and applications load very quickly. I am very pleased with this purchase and wish I would have done it sooner.0000000000

I looked around online for the best SSD for a PS4. I came across this one and it was in stock at my local Best Buy. It is on the pricey side but well worth it. Took less than 15 min to switch out in my PS4. Slightly increased the speed of my PS4 load time and doubled the internal memory from stock.

In my estimation the Samsung Evo series solid state drives are far superior to any other available solid state drives on the market. If you need to have verification simply look at the specifications and comparisons which are available online and you too will be convinced that the Samsung Evo is the best choice whether you're converting a Mac or a PC to a solid state drive.

Upgrading to a SSD will reinvigorate any older system. I like the Samsung SSDs for their speed and reliability.
