This drive is super fast, well built and very easy to install. I love it!

According to existing reviews this product is like the number one SSD in the world. I took the bait and I really want to agree, but mine's a saucer and I am at a crossroads. Should I pay for help installing this, or return it before my window closes? The instructions are here, but it's a comic book with no words what-so-ever. There's thought balloons and illuminated light bulbs, but no written instructions. That's all fine and dandy, because installing the hardware was really easy. Oh, yeah. Oooh, ahhh, that's how it always starts. Then later there's running and um, screaming. Like after cloning and then fruitlessly trying to get the new drive to be recognized by Windows and then to be recognized as the boot drive and after all that, to not flicker like a Zoopraxiscope upon restart.

Put this in my PS4 pro. Works like a beast. Wicked fast couldn't be happier

SSD is super fast and quiet compared to old HD's. Unless you need tons of space, you can't go wrong with Samsungs 850 evo series. I don't think the pro version warrants the extra cost, so,save your money and get the EVO.

replaced the hard drive in my ASUS G74SX laptop, WOW what a difference, this was a fast laptop before the new SSD, but now it's like greased lightning, boots up in less than 30 seconds, closer to 20. I have loads of stuff on this computer and it's just like I bought a new machine. new life into my 5+ year old ASUS i7 16GB ram, DirectX11 3D NVidia and Blu-Ray

I find that the Samsung 1 TB SSD is a very good product. Although I am using it for a second storage drive I find it to read and write very fast. I have another Samsung M2 500 gig SSD that I use for the bootable drive that also starts Windows 10 in less than 9 seconds. I recommend this product because of its quality, speed and warranty of 5 years. You can't beat that.

The Samsung EVO drive is absolutely awesome. It was easy to install and dramatically speeded up the computer anytime the drive is accessed. Boot up time was probably cut by a factor of 8-10 an the time to start a program was cut dramatically. I wish I would have done this sooner!

My computer was really slow, like 9 minute boot time slow. then I bought this SSD and cloned my old drive to this one. The computer couldn't tell the difference except my boot time went down to 18 seconds. The drive drops into a laptop perfectly. I can't tell you wether the bundled software is good as I used a drive cradle to do the cloning.

Finally, larger capacity SSHD like this almost 1TB are becoming affordable allowing you to not only run the OS from it but also store data on it to take advantage of its great speed. I created two partitions, one for OS and the other for data. This way, in case I have to re-do the OS I don't have to worry about the data as that partition stays untouched.

I suffered for four years with the original equipment from Apple. About every six month I went to the Geek Squad and asked them to tune my machine. Lot's of spinning wheels. It took about six minutes to boot in the morning. The solid state hard drive is so fast that I hardly wait for anything. It is night and day. Wish I made the change four years ago.

Installed this in an ASUS desktop having an Intel I7-4790S processor with a 2TB Toshiba hard disk drive. Was a simple installation following the instructions provided. Obtained a USB 3.0 to 2.5" SATA HHD/SSD cable for data migration. While I don't have measurable performance numbers, the performance gain is very noticeable. Great Product!

Samsung is known for solid made drives. This is no exception. If you want a SSD that will do a good job, select this one.

This thing nearly bricked my computer. I followed the directions of installation, cloned my HDD, and bricked my computer. Now, I was of course devastated, and tried to change it back. Didn't work. Solution? I had to run my computer off of the OS disc, and then slam the keyboard to access the BIOS. I had to reassign my computer to run off the new SSD by moving it up the boot list. My computer was saved. Nothing was damaged. The SSD itself works like a dream. Everything boots fast, the programs are highly responsive. Still, it was a scary experience. Be sure to research the BIOS key for your computer, and make sure it works BEFORE you try to install this SSD. You might need it.
