We've purchased the 850 EVO drives on multiple occasions (we have a computer consulting/repair business) and have been very happy with the speed. We had one that had a bad controller card, and Samsung replaced it. They even paid for shipping both ways. The warranty on this drive is excellent.

This is my second SSD from SAMSUNG. I had first the 500GB version for my video files on my desktop (the OS was already on a SSD, but the data needs to be on a separate SSD to speed up reading), and now the "Samsung - 850 EVO 1TB Internal Sata III Solid State Drive - Black" version for my Laptops main hard-drive, OS. If money is no problem, take the "pro" version of this hard-drive. Otherwise the "850 EVO" last long enough until you have to upgrade your whole computer (every 5 years!!!). (5 computer years is like 72 human years!) There are 4 important ways to speed-up your computer: 1. Upgrade the ram to the maximum (I did) 2. Upgrade the Video card (I did Nvidia 1080) 3. Upgrade to SSD (now I did for my Laptop) 4. Separate the OS system from the data storage (Have 2 SSD's, one for data, and one for the OS). BUT to make it clear, the biggest impact is the SSD upgrade for the OS. OS = Operating System (like Windows 10, or ... ) Hope that helps you ...

Installed in HP Envy m4 Laptop. Unit running Windows 7 Pro x64, 16 Gigs of RAM, 1TB hard drive. This Samsung Evo 850 SSD was installed in place of 1TB hard drive. This SSD is extremely fast and uses very little power, compared to a normal hard drive. I would suggest it as an excellent upgrade!

My daughter was complaining that her Mac laptop was running slow and wanted a new one. I installed this SSD and it’s like a new computer. Installation was easy because I cloned the old drive to the SSD and it worked perfectly. Will be buying more drives for my other computers.

Used to upgrade my laptop and wow what a difference. The took it from a good to great laptop in seconds because it now reacts in less than a second it is so fast. Totally recommend having your laptop or home pc have SSD for the system and use a 7200 rpm large gig drive for storage.

This was used to make an old fast i5 machine a little faster and a little less dependant on moving parts. The installation was ready with the appropriate harness. Once installed, the setup was easy and the machine was much faster.

I bought this for my PS4 and I love it. Twice the memory and it loads games faster. Plus I was tired of hearing the loud fan all the time. The fan doesn't get near as loud now and doesn't even need to kick on all the time. The price is a little high but it was on sale when I bought it.

As an artist, I am constantly, rendering, simulating and accessing huge files. I bought 2 of these drives and both have been working perfectly for the past month and I haven't had any issues. I now feel very comfortable with SSD drives and will be buying many more in the future.

Got a great price on the SSD drive on Black Friday. My programs load up 10x faster.

Made my computer better than when I first got it. Best to just do a clean install and not mess with cloning. You will get rid of all kinds of old junk on your computer. I use the old hard drive as storage. Used Velcro to hold the SSD in place since there was a slot but wrong size

I got them to price match this to a lower price from Amazon and it's the best thing I could have done for my laptop. It comes with software to clone your existing drive before you change them out and it worked great. No problems at all and the system is a lot faster than before.

Bought this for my home built desktop from a few years back when I was gaming. Replaced an aging and failing striped raid array as my boot drive. Had to re install Win7 to get it working but boy was it worth it. Didn't know windows could load this fast. Truly amazing.

Have used samsung ssd drives at work for several years. They are more expensive than some SSD manufacturers but the drives are fast and reliable.

I have been a fan of Samsung SSDs for awhile and planned to get one for my new build and a deal in the 1 Terrabyte was a lucky find. Not only are these drives fast and efficient but I'm also a fan of the drive software that comes with it. Excellent drive and worth the money.

Samsung did it again. Been using it for about a month now. Easy setup, no hassle.

I didn't have any complaints about my older Samsung 840-series drive except that it was filling up. As with my last swap, Samsung's cloning software worked flawlessly and the swap was plug and play. Boots feel a shade faster, but I haven't benchmarked.

love these drives, I buy them all the time for the office and we've never had a failed drive (granted there are no moving parts). the EVO series isn't the most affordable of devices but what you pay at the checkout you get back in durability and performance.

Samsung EVO's are know for their long life, fast read-write speeds. Great SSD.

I needed to replace the 5400 rpm HD in my old iMac and this has come to the rescue, paired with an adapter the computer boots fast and loads programs with speed. I didn't use the Samsung Wizard software so I don't know how well it functions.
