My old 5400 RPM hard drive crashed and the rest of my ASUS PC were in great shape and condition. Picked this SSD drive to replace it. Very happy with the speed and performance this new drive is giving me. It is like night and day. Thx Geek Squad for a great data recovery and restore process also.

The Samsung data migration tool made cloning my existing HDD and dropping this drive in its place a breeze. Old 500GB drive (98+% full) took about 2.5 hours to clone and then setting the BIOS to boot from the new drive was all it took. Drive is silent (of course) and fast.

This hard drive works great for my new HP envy. I did not think it was possible for my laptop to start up so fast. From the second I log on within five seconds for the computers already up and running. That is a vast improvement. This drive is definitely worth investing in.

My C: drive was running out of space so I purchases the Samsung SSD increasing the capacity from 256 GB to 1 TB. The extra space for Windows Virtual Memory (swap file) allows the system to run much faster. SSDs are the only way to fly, especially at today's prices.

After purchasing an HP desktop computer with 128GB SSD and 1TB hard drive, I began installing programs and copying data from old computer. The SSD is great because the system boots very quickly, and programs launch quickly. Well, half way into the installation process the 128GB SSD was almost half used. The 1TB SSD was on sale, so I figured for a few bucks more go for the big one. It was easy to copy the original system 128GB SSD to the 1TB SSD with the provided software (you do need an external drive dock - about $25) and everything worked the first time. My desktop computer boots up amazingly quickly - I used to put my other computer sleep, but I just shut down the new computer with the 1TB SSD. Yes, I could have gotten a smaller SSD, but I've read that you want an SSD about 50% bigger than you think you need - they don't function as quickly when approaching maximum capacity.

I have several 850 EVO's in various sizes and have yet to experience any issues with installation or failures. So when I needed another SSD, the Samsung 850 EVO was an obvious choice.

Bought this as a replacement to the stock HDD in my PS4 Pro. Did a fair amount of research on the benefits from using a SDD in the system and I can say I'm experiencing all of them. Apart from doubling the amount of storage I have, my load times are insanely fast. Just simple things like turning on the system are faster than with the default configuration. Loading screens show up on my TV and disappear so fast that sometimes I don't get to see them before my game is ready to play. I plan on buying another one of these soon to upgrade a laptop HDD.

It's like taking a 1987 half ton van out of your laptop and putting in a Formula One racer. Everything is at your fingertips. You have a MacBook? iPhoto's thumbnails don't lag. I have 25k+ pics and can scroll as fast as I want and the thumbnails don't bog, turn on your laptop without waiting 1min for it to get to start screen. It's about 15-20sec. No more hot laptops either. It has nothing to cool down. Bottom line: shut up and buy one.

Did a bit of research and found other drives that were cheaper but this has 5yr warranty vs 3ys for others and the average speed is better than other's top speed. Put it in my MacBook pro 13" now it feels like a new laptop

This product works perfect with my 2012 MacBook Pro. It runs quickly and efficiently, Far less heat issues is a real plus!

I had wanted a SSD for quite some time, and got this one on sale. It has turned out very reliable and really speeds up my custom built computer. Never going back to standard drives!

There are several expensive SSDs are out there. This one was very affordable and it's working very good. My laptop is super fast now.

I have one of these in my work computer as a software developer and two of them in a striped raid array for a thunderbolt 3 enclosure that I use for editing RAW 4k footage (up to 600MB/sec random access read) and it works flawlessly in both cases. If you need high performance, but not top performance, these offer great bang for the buck at great quality while still being considerably cheaper than the 850 Pros (which I use for capture on my Ursa Mini since the write performance is a bit more demanding)..

First drive received was defective and was promptly replaced with a new drive. The SSD was easy to format and transfer my OS/data. It boots system extremely fast and is very quiet. I wish it was a bit cheaper in price but overall very happy and impressed with performance and quality. Am very impressed with speed Best Buy replaced the defective drive and i’m so glad I bought it from BB instead of some cheaper online company I never heard of before. That could have been a very costly mistake!!

There isn't much to say about these, except why don't you own several already!? I have a 250GB in my desktop I built almost 8 years ago and it has given it new life like never before. That was my first experience with the Samsung EVO line. I had a PNY before in a laptop that was nice... This 1 TB was in a laptop I reviewed and ended up returning. I wanted to keep the drive because I got it $50 off. Be patient, wait for a sale - because even at full price these are WELL worth it. SSD 4 LIFE!

I bought this SSD after researcing the various SSDs on the market. Samsung came highly recommended and garnered consistant high reviews. The product supports those reviews with first hand experience. It is blazing fast and has breathed new life into my 13" Macbook Pro. Love the zero wait, almost instantaneous startup times and virtually no lag.

I have been in IT over 25 years and have never really taken the plunge into solid state until just recently. I talked to a few of my IT friends and asked which ones they had the best luck with and this was the particular one they recommend. A few had the pro one, but if you're not running a Raid and doing any extensive operations there really isn't any performance gain. This version is easy to install, the software works excellent that comes with it and converted my drive without issues. It even did the hidden recovery partitions You will need either the SATA to USB cable so that you can get the Hard drive migration going as it does not come with it. OR you can buy an external inclosure (Which i would recommend) as this lets you use the other hard drive as an external hard drive if desired. Installation is fast, Simple, and fool proof. Best purchase i made this year for sure. PLUS the performance boost is phenomenal. If you are running a ROG Asus Laptop G751 or newer the boot up time from power off to "in windows" is literally 4-7 seconds. (Depending on what you have running)

A few years ago who would have imagined that you would be able to get 1TB of SSD storage at this kind of a price. I purchased this to install in a new Dell laptop that came with a hard drive. That computer went from being just okay, to being very snappy indeed. If you have a computer with a hard drive, you owe it to your self to upgrade to an SSD. You will be amazed at the difference it makes. And for price / performance it is hard to beat the Samsun EVO.

I purchased from Best Buy after I made a mistake and purchased the wrong SSHD from Amazon. The seller gave me a hard time about returning the product. I bought from Best Buy since they have a store nearby and I can deal with a real person if I need to and they have always provided great service. This Samsung drive installed easily in my 5 year old Acer Aspire. I installed because it was running slower than I would like. I used Macrium to clone the HDD that was installed in my computer, popped in the new solid-state drive. Was easy to install and operation has been reliable. Computer now boots in about 1/5 the time when I had the conventional drive and normal operation with word and outlook is much faster than before.
