Swapping my existing 1 Terrabyte Drive for the Samsung SSD was fairly straight forward. The improvement in boot time and various software was great. I would highly recommend it!

SSD doubled the size of my hard drive and increased the performance of my computer.

I was torn between going with this 1TB 850 EVO and a 500GB 850 EVO Pro. They were similarly priced since this one was on sale($250). I wasn't sure if I would rather have the extra storage or the slightly higher transfer rate of the Pro. I have my OS on a small 850 EVO Pro and have loved it. I opted for this 1TB EVO and honestly, I haven't even noticed any difference in transfer rates. On paper it's negligible, but IRL not noticeable unless you're transferring HUGE amounts of data on a daily basis. I got this one to put my games on and I'm very happy! Of course, I recommend any of the Samsung EVO line. So, you can't go wrong either way. But, for $250 this was a steal!

Replaced my standard 1 TB drive with this 1 TB SSD. Used Samsungs software to clone the drive and it worked perfectly. Boot time and operation are much improved. Very happy with the results.

This new solid state hard drive completely changed my laptop around and made it usable again. Would definitely recommend the upgrade from any mechanical drive. Worth the investment.

Replaced my 5400 HDD with this baby, and cant believe the performance difference. The computer boots in 9 seconds and progarams open almost instantaneously. Really happy with the purchase.

This SSD went into a 27" iMac to replace the aging hard drive. It was an easy replacement (this is the older, magnetic-held screen) and worked immediately upon restart. Vey effective upgrade!

Used it in my Mac to record 52 live audio tracks for an upcoming album and video. Preformed flawlessly and had no latency issues or hiccups. Transfer rate was well above the required parameters. Very happy with my purchase. However, I wish I had known that I could have saved $50 by purchasing it online and picking it up in the store. Would have appreciated the sales clerk making me hip to that info.

This is a very Easy performance booster for a laptop with HDD. Just clone existing disk with free cloning software from Samsung and replace HDD with SSD! Fast, reliable and affordable.

This is a fast, SSD being an Sata 3, instead of PCI e connection. Working nicely so far.

Great hard drive much faster than the 5400 rpm drive it replaced. My son has the same ssd in his computer and loves it. I recommend this for anyone who wants to speed up their computer.

I bought this for a 2012 MacBook Pro. My laptop was starting to feel slow and I seriously conaider d getting a new computer. I decided to give this a shot and it completely changed the performance of my laptop. I had a 1TB HDD so it was getting slow. This drive made my computer feel like a completely new machine. My computer will last several more years before it’s time to upgrade.

Replaced an HDD of the same size in a Asus gaming laptop I bought in 2013 and gave it a new life. Samsung Magician software is necessary to take full advantage of the speed of this SDD.

The drive is great, definitely makes a difference going SSD and for this price this is a steal (actually the market, long awaited, finally arrived) Samsung boasts all you have to do is plug in the tether and let the software take care of the rest (not exactly - they just act like its that simple) what they won't tell you, or do for you is give you that probably $40 tether you are looking if you are a laptop owner when you open the instructions...ha ha. Considered open source to clone pulled out both drives stuck it in a PC and tried the Samsung software - it's ok, but wouldn't keep. My takeaway was don't try to partition full size of disk

My hard drive stop running after only three years. Luckily, I did my back ups and this new SSD is at least 10 X faster than the old hard drive. I would recommend this to everyone.
