Great SSD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Put this into my new Alienware 17R3 as my data drive because transferring media from cards and such was kinda long this did help but wasn't a crazy improvement (probably limited by the drives the media is being transferred from) had it installed for a few weeks so far so good no issues. I have a similar drive in my fathers laptop and so far running with no issue for three years on the other drive.

One of the best solid state drives for the money

I put this in my laptop and it has sped up the boot up time tremendously. I originally bought the smaller 500 gig drive when they first come out and it has been great. Now that they have the larger 1 TB it was time to upgrade again. I now have this drive in both my laptops. The smaller drive is now used as a portable drive. I highly recommend it.

So far it performs great and without a hitch!

It also gives you a quick view of total writes in GB so you have an idea of drive endurance. The only downer is that my computer is a circa 2011-12 HP Envy dv7t that doesn't support AHCI mode, which is required to get full bandwidth out of the SSD. I'm still getting almost 300 MB/sec, however, and that is a world of difference compared to my previous HDD!
