I've used eight of these drives so far with no problems whatsoever. Four of them were for a RAID 10 array in a hard drive enclosure, three were for laptops, and one was installed in a tower. All all working like a charm!

3rd times a charm? Not impressed with samsung QC

First drive arrived completely DOA. Exchanged at store for another, but upon running the migration software I discovered it was only a 120GB drive in a 1TB box. Box was sealed and the 1 TB label and serial number on the drive matched the label and serial on the box, but was definitely only a 120GB drive. Exchanged again and actually got a 1TB drive that works. Store personnel mentioned they had heard of this issue before, and since both faulty drives were still factory sealed, it looks like samsung has some serious QC issues. Migration was easy and quick, and everything finally seems to be working fine, but knocking this down to 3 stars for all the time wasted trying to install bad/mislabeled drives and driving back and forth to the stores for exchanges.

    850 EVO 1TB is actually 750 EVO 120GB

First 850 EVO 1TB drive was DOA. Exchanged it at BB store. Second drive was recognized as a 750 EVO 120GB drive. The label on the drive looked like it had been tampered with, although the box was factory sealed. Samsung has some really serious QC issues and I'm going to avoid them in the future.
