The second best SSD on the market. Only second to the 850 PRO. Great performance, great software, and at the time I purchased this it was a great price. Would recommend going with 1TB+ due to how speed quality reduces in SSDs after 50%+ is utilized.

I put this SSD in a laptop that had a spare bay. I didn't migrate my operating system to this (It is on a M.2 SSD drive), so I can't speak to that. But everything I run from this SSD, including sampled musical instruments, is so fast. No regrets!

Put this in an older 2012 Mac Mini & the results were INCREDIBLE! I was running Windows 10 in a Parallels virtual machine. Boot time to desktop was about 20 seconds running on original drive. Down to 4-5 seconds on new Samsung drive. On startup time for Visual Studio running in Virtual Machine, it would take between 26-30 seconds on original drive. On new Samsung drive....3 seconds. Yes, you read that right! THREE seconds! This thing has pushed off by another 3 years where I even have to consider buying a new Mac. I'm quite simply DELIGHTED with this purchase.

Samsung has been making good SSDs for a long time and this 1 TB drive is far from my first. Based on the past, I expected this drive to be reliable and fast and planned to use it for data storage opposite my Samsung M.2 860 EVO 500 GB boot drive. Performance has met my expectations and I have even played with Samsung Magician, new cache software that seems to make the drive way faster -- at least 5-6 I would estimate. Worth looking at although reviewers elsewhere disagree on Magician. Check it out. Otherwise I would recommend it to a friend.

If you want a great product to help your PC run faster then any regular SATA drives, get a SSD drive. Samsung are the best.

I had a choice to replace my computer or install a solid state drive. After spending time with a Best Buy representative and listening to his expertise I opted to replace the drive in my original computer and the results have been fantastic!

The SAMSUNG evo is one of the easiest ways to get that extra ump out of your computer. On average can boost your startup time buy as much as a factor of 10. It also can pass's this performance to your OS. Making it run faster. You could call this the easiest way to add horse power to your system. It is also available in an m.2 version and a pciE version. This is a very good way to add years to your system. There are no turning motors so your computer will run in silent mode! Get it! Install it! You'll be glad you did!

I bought this to replace an older 240gb ssd drive. I paid less for this 1tb drive than I did for my old drive. SSD tech keeps getting bigger and faster and I recommend them for anyone looking for a quick and easy way to speed up any pc.

I create music and needed something to speed up my program load times and this has been a splendid addition to the setup. After having someone install it for me for free, it works like a charm and I'm glad I made the purchase.

I finally pulled the trigger on buying a SSD drive and decided to buy this one for my home desktop. Install and cloning was a breeze. If you follow the included instructions I cannot see where you can go wrong. I installed the software, hooked up the drive, started cloning and about 2 hours later was all set to go. The performance increase from my old HDD is amazing. Windows boots almost immediately. I am very happy with this purchase and the install was about the smoothest install of any computer component ever.

I am using the 1TB 850 EVO in an enclosure as a backup device for my Lightroom catalog. The enclosure is USB 3 and coupled with the SSD it is very fast.

This SSD is truly amazing. I was able to clone my original HDD easily and very quickly (less than 2 hrs.). Installation was also easy after removing about a dozen screws from the bottom of my laptop and removing the stock HDD and just carefully mounted the SSD in the same slot. SPEEDY doesn't even begin to tell it all. My laptop now boots in about 5 seconds. Do yourself a favor and go to Best Buy and get one of these Samsung SSD''s. You will be doing yourself a big favor.

I have always used Samsung SSDs and this one stands up to the name. It is super fast and has plenty of storage for games and downloads. Read/Write speed is awesome so games and files load quickly.

When my computer hard drive crashed unexpectedly, I was faced with buying a new drive and perhaps having it crash in the future. That is until Best Buy Geek Squad recommended I replace the hard drive with a solid state drive which has no moving parts to wear out. This Samsung drive is fast, very fast and very reliable. I am delighted with it. I just wish computers came standard with them.

This drive is fast and easy to install. The drive comes with software to copy your old drive to the new one which is easy to use. The Samsung Magician software will let you know if it's setup for the fastest SATA settings. There's also some good benchmarking tools and a rapid mode which will make the drive even faster.

We replaced standard drive with SSD and have foun d it to be a great replacement to my system. I enjoy the and efficiency of the new drive. I greatly improves the efficiency of my computer.

I upgraded a 3 year old HP desktop with a Core i5 and 12 GB of RAM. i replaced the original 2TB SATA hdd with this 1TB Samsung 850 EVO, and also added a new Seagate 3TB SATA hdd as my data drive. Its like having a new computer; it boots much much faster, and performs overall much better. I spent a few days optimizing Windows 10 Professional, moving all my libraries and other data files to the Seagate drive. I have nothing bad to say about this drive.

I use this as a second hard drive for games and recordings. This is a huge improvement over the standard hard drive I had in my system. Highly recommend. Large size at a great price.

Easy to setup and install. Great performance increase to my laptop that was purchased with a very slow hard drive. So much more cost effective, when compared to buying a new laptop.
