Fast and reliable solid state drive ever! Breathes new life to my MacMini 5,3 after upgrading to more advanced mac OS (El Capitan). was so impressed with this SSD HD, I bought another one to make my Macmini a dual boot machine (El Capitan & windows 10). Paired with an 8gb to 16gb memory upgrade, this SSD HD certainly saved my 5-yr old mac from obsolescence. Definitely worth every penny if you are planning to upgrade your computer's OS!

Purchased this because i wanted something faster than a physical disk. This definitely did the job, but it also give a tremendous speed boost. The Asus Laptop now boots into windows literally in 4-6 seconds from dead boot. All apps are responsive. But best of all, the laptop can now take vibrations more without the risk of killing the hard disk. Its Quiet, Fast and A must upgrade.

The provided Magician software made the cloning process so easy that my 12 year old daughter did herself with ease. She used the Apricorn Data Transfer cable to connect to the SSD drive to clone. After cloning the PC on Win10 booted up so much faster and responds quickly for everything. Even browsing the internet is not laggy anymore. We had about 1/2 TB of data to migrate over and was done in less than an hour.

The drive itself looks good, extremely fast. But the downloaded utility software to transfer the old hard drive data over is a diaster. I did it twice, each time the software completed successfully but the new drive won'tboot. I was thinking about return the drive. But I got lucky dupplicate the drive using my Kingwin docking station. My Dell Inspiron 15 with windows 10 now boots up in less than 20 seconds. Love it.

I installed this along with my old hard drive and I was very impressed with the speed it gave my computer and with the old drive I now have twice the storage space.

I replaced a 256 GB SSD in a desktop with the Samsung EVO. This drive keeps up with the 6GB/second disk interface. It is noticeably faster than the old drive.

We all know these things aren’t cheap, but it’s an amazing piece of technology. If you want a faster computer and faster storage this is the way to go.

I have tried other brands of SSD's that didn't perform as well and some that died in about a year of use. the Samsung seems to be a solid device.

Great drive, start up and program boots very fast. If it works this great a year from now I'll be very impressed.

I used this to upgrade my ps4. It was easy to set up. Works awesome. Just make sure you have a computer and a usb stick handy to assist with the upgrade.

I purchased a new computer and wanted to have a solid state drive instead of the one that comes with the machine. I installed the Samsung 850EVO 1TB and transferred the data from the drive in the machine to the digital one with a Data Migration program. The whole process took no more than one hour, and it worked flawlessly. Now my computer just zips along.

I have purchased at least 20 different brands of SSDs and these Samsung 850 EVO SSDs are by far the best performing for the dollar.

This was my favorite item in my new build. Rapid response and super quick boot time! Would definitely buy this again if I needed to. Don't hesitate!

This SSD is amazing. I purchased this to replace a PNY SSD that crashed within the first week. I've been using this for a Windows Server class and it runs great with no hiccups and it is crazy fast. I was able to build four virtual machines at the same time in under twelve minutes. I will definitely be purchasing a second one to upgrade my Mac mini.

Quick 'n easy install with a Faster Windows boot. This was my second Notebook SS Drive; so, I knew my way around. Would advise discussing your needs with your sales person or Geek squad if you are a newbie. I had stand alone disk copier that was super easy to use. A USB to SATA cable assembly is required if you don't have a drive duplicator.

Change from the HDD drive that was in my laptop and put in the Solid State drive. My laptop has improved in performance and for someone who has a little experience with changing drives it was very easy to do. The only bad thing was it did not include the transfer cable and had to order and wait for it to changes the drives.

I purchased my new Ultrabook, planning to upgrade to a SSD as soon as prices came down, and this Samsung was affordable. Using a USB 3 enclosure, I cloned my conventional drive using Acronis TrueImage (overnight), then swapped the drives, and Windows booted in about 7 seconds. After over a month of use it still cold boots faster than it used to wake from sleep. All software and "apps" startup and operate many times faster. I didn't do any benchmarking, but it is a staggering improvement. Also, the battery life of the notebook (Lenovo Edge 2, 6th gen. Core i7 processor) more than doubled... over 7.5 hours of continuous use on a full charge. A tremendous fringe benefit. I still worry about long term reliability, so I try to keep regular incremental backups, but have had absolutely zero problems after heavy professional scientific research computing 14+ hours per day. I'm considering buying another for my other home computer.
