For those that own the latest HP desktop Pavilion the Samsung standard and pro drive will not be compatible. You will not be able to access the BIOS to install the drive. HP tech support also confirmed this twice. However the PNY SSD drive will work perfectly with the Pavilion BIOS. I used this Samsung drive in another PC and it's just fast! It's nice to have the software Samsung supplies with the drive as well.

I use this for my boot drive in an older MacBook Pro. What had become a slow computer now feels zippy and responsive. Thank you Samsung for making a fast SSD.

I purchased this SSD for my PC build, acting as my OS and Applications drive. It works great. Obviously hard to say how good the lifespan of the drive will be, but at least for now the drive is lightning fast and my OS will boot up from a full power off in about 10-15 seconds. So it is incredibly fast, and also very easy to hook up. Make sure you have a SATA III cable because it is not included.

Bought this for my Macbook Pro mid 2010. Easy to install and the computer works well. There is a significant notice in booting up time, opening apps, and shut down. Definitely worth the price if you are not looking into buying a new computer but want to speed up your old one for a cheaper price. Comes with Samsung 10 year warranty and if you can get this on sale at bestbuy for around $120 is a great deal.

Just built a new computer and while using my existing hard drives I bought this one to store the operating system. Windows 10 now boots almost instantly!

I purchased (after much research) this SSD to replace my system drive for a Windows 10 clean install. Installation of the product on my desktop was painless and quick, as well as with the operating system. Immediately noticed a fairly large response time improvement for my computing environment. Selected the Samsung 850 based upon positive reviews,queries to other owners, and assurances the SDD would help out in my Sata II environment. It did - allaying my initial Sata II fears. While my 7 year old system still performs well, the added zip enhances my video/ photo editing tasks, as well as every day browsing activities.

Best Sata SSD on the market. Fastest most reliable SSD I have ever used. 10 year manufacturers warranty is just a bonus.

This device is very easy to install. You just need to purchase the mounting bracket. I have a 6 computer Point of Sale system at my store and installed this in all of them. It's warranty is far better than a mechanical drive and it's response time is much faster,

Samsung 850 Pro Series are great SSD - Wish the 512 GB was more affordable.

Well. This is the best ssd on the market because I changed sanduisk and Samsung evo both failed within 3 weeks. Samsung pro works for 3monhs with 4sec windows start. I run 55inch tv and 24inch games. 000 lags wow. Reading rate is over 590mb per sec. And warranty 10 years. If you like quality you have to pay!!!

Old HDD burned up and needed to be replaced and upgraded. Laptop runs a lot faster and smoother now.

You definitely note the difference. My PC takes 20 secs to turn on and be ready to open big programs. Tip: Make sure you know at least basics about inside's CPU hardware and BIOS.

I bought two of these to mirror. I have had numerous ssd (PNY) failures and Samsung 850 pro seemed to be the best for the OS. (having fast ssd for os is important. I did a lot of research and these 850pro are top rated. No problems so far and they were easy to install. They are more expensive, but you get what you pay for with your OS ssd.

Drive came as described and worked without a problem. This one doesn't have the spacer caddy that some drives come shipped with.

After reading many reviews on many different sites I finally settled on this drive. It is considered best in class on many sites and after installing it I have to agree. The bundled SSD management software is a super plus and is super easy to use.
