Bought 4 of these to upgrade my pcs from spinning hard drives. Good solid SSD drive with great specs and speed, price avg for the drive . Migration software is also a great feature. However I had one Lenovo AIO pc that no matter what I tried the cloned drive would not boot . But an old I7 1st gen that was taking 4-5 minutes to boot now is booting and capable of running any app in about 45 seconds.

These Samsung EVO SSD hard drives are the best deal for speed, storage and reliability. Best Buy usually has a great price on these. Go for it, your computer will work great!

Excellent product. Easy to install. No need to format. I had no trouble loading Windows software on it. Overall, extremely pleased with its performance so far during the past 2 months or so of using it. Best of all, it saved me my laptop which has had no other issues and is in excellent condition otherwise.

Ordered this to replace the ssd in my Dell laptop(pulled my Windows drive out to install Fedora 40 on the new one). As expected, these Samsung drives offer excellent speed and value.

these work great, the samsung magician software that you download to clone your existing drive works well. You don't have to be an IT person to convert your hd to this ssd..on a scale of 1 to 5..you only need a level 2 of knowledge. I've installed more than 6 of these now on various computers and super happty.

The drive itself was super easy to install, it was a drop-in replacement for the factory hard drive. The swap took less than 10 minutes. Then I did a clean Windows install in order to not move seven years of detritus over to my brand new drive. That's always a bit of a chore but now it's all done and my laptop runs some operations literally twice as fast, I'm not kidding. It also runs quite a bit cooler and the fan doesn't run so often, making it quieter. If you still have an old fashioned hard drive in your system, I can't recommend enough swapping in a SSD. You'll be glad you did.

Very pleased with this drive. Feel the price was very reasonable and the difference in my laptop is outstanding. I had to replace the hard drive which came with my HP because it was taking hardware errors. Because of this my PC had become very slow with constant hang-ups and getting progressively worse. It was to be expected that the speed of the PC would be like night and day with the new drive. However, I remember what my laptop was like when it was brand new and the speed difference with this SS drive is still dramatically faster. I would definitely recommend this drive.

The Geek Squad suggested these drives after I mentioned my old machines were very slow. They replaced the old 1T hard drives in my laptop and my desktop (both are 2014 HP Envy i7 12mb RAM 1T hard drives) with these 512 Samsung SSD drives. It was the best $50 investment (per drive). Both machines are so much faster and even after backing up the data from these machines, about half of the 512 SSD drives capacity is still unused & available. Geek Squad service agreements are well worth the money too! $200 per year plan saved me $600 in labor so far! Impressed!

My HP laptop is 9 years old and compared to my desktop PC takes forever to start up and to open / close programs. About 15 months ago I upgraded the HDD in my PC with a Samsung EVO 860 and the PC became a rocket so I recently decided to replace the old slow HDD in my laptop with an EVO 870. What a difference. Used to take about 2 minutes for windows and all startup programs to boot. Now it takes about 2 seconds for the windows logo to display and about 23 seconds for all to boot up. I had reward points that paid for half the cost so the transaction was well worth the money.

Awesome SSD to speed up old computer! The price was reasonable as well. Samsung migration software makes it very easy to migrate to new computer.

Fast. Solid. Reliable. Samsung at its finest. If you still need Sata3 drives, these can't come recommended enough. Responsive and price is great.

PC hard drive was damaged by an electrical surge beyond any recovery. Choose to purchase a new PC for more storage, faster speed, etc. The GeekSquad advisor suggested a new hard drive for my older PC, as that was all that was damaged. I now have a backup PC for a minor investment.

The drive itself is excellent. Samsung Magician software that is to be used to clone hard drives did NOT recognize the new Samsung hard drive or it's unique serial number. It told me "Invalid S/N number," Thinking it might be a fake I sent it back and got another. Both were packaged and sealed as the factory would do it. The second did the same thing. The software never recognized a valid S/N but finally after several hours of trying different techniques and a call to Samsung Support that was futile, it recognized a Samsung drive. It allowed the cloning process. Boo to Samsungs software glitch.

When I purchased my Samsung 7 Spin Notebook 5 years ago I had the option of installing an SSD drive and I didn't. What a mistake that was. The original HD was slow with multiple problems through the years and finally died recently. I had this SSD installed and what a difference! Much faster, smooth running and I don't have to defragment and all that gobble-d-gook. Like I said, better late than never.

Great ssd, amazing speeds, I was installing windows and I used a western digital ssd but then it kept giving my storage problems, and then i used this samsung one and it was super easy to install no problems and blazing speeds

Solid HDD! I got the 500GB version, and let me tell you, this beats the SanDisk version just because of the included software. It makes it effortless to transfer old data from a previous drive, and simple to install a fresh OS as well. It's a speedy drive, too. My previous Samsung SSD is 7 years old and still runs like new. This one went into a new laptop. I recommend this 100% over other brands!

Easy to install. I buy the Samsung brand drives because the software it comes with works well to make a backup. It's fast.
