Great washer with some drawbacks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading the reviews on this washer and getting a good price at Best Buy I believed I had done all my homework and purchased the machine we needed and wanted. That is mostly true. My wife and I are short and so it is difficult to retrieve all the clothes at the bottom of the washer when the cycle is complete. Two inches higher on the drum would make a big difference. Also, when we wash bedding the machine gets unbalanced and after we stop the machine and rearrange the clothes a cycle of 15 minutes or so starts all over again. This "UB" occurrence extends the wash cycle a great deal. One last thing, the detergent and softener dispensers are not easy to use.

Great washer at a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this washer after looking at a lot of reviews on front load washers. I had intended on buying a front load, but noticed that top load washers had better features and capacity for a much lower cost. I've had the washer for about a month and use it frequently. it cleans clothes very well and does some extremely large loads (bedding, towels, etc.) without issue. The only problem I had was in washing a waterproof mattress cover because it held water and caused an unbalanced load (UL) error condition and didn't drain the load fully. When I pulled it out and released the water, it completed the spin cycle without issue. I will echo what others have said regarding tub depth; it's pretty deep. I checked in the store and didn't have a problem, but I'm 6 foot tall with long arms. So I recommend you try reaching the bottom of the tub back before deciding or that errant sock may go through the wash a second time.

Works very efficent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer has many amazing features. We went from a older one to this and its stunning to see how far along washers have come. It is very tall and reaching the bottom is tough, but the load it fits can get all your laundry done at once. Have not used the sink yet but with baby on the way it might get some use. It's not really in our way otherwise.

Cleaning is good, but cycles are long.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did my research on these and found good rating for them from a non-profit rating system. The platinum finish is beautiful. I noticed that while the cleaning of the clothing is good, the cycles are longer than I am used to. The music at the end of the cycle is very long as well. Good I guess if you live in a large house and might miss the shorter signals.

Nice features and quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buys delivery service,(actually contracted out), and setup was fast and they did a good careful job. The washer has very nice and easy to use features. Uses less water then our old washer and somehow cleans better. Very quiet and efficient, instead of four loads a week, we now only do two. The controls seem intimidating at first, but after reading the directions and using it a few times, not a problem. We have not had the opportunity to use all of the options yet, (and there are many). The drum is huge and deep, which is the only downside for my wife, as she is on the shorter side, 5'2', and has a hard time reaching to the bottom, so she uses a small one step stool. We bought the matching dryer to the washer, and got a really good price with Samsung giving some extra dollars off for buying it as a pair. We have only had it for about a month now, but so far so good. I will update in the future if we run into any unwanted surprises.

Great washer and dryer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have the Samsung washer and dryer for about 2 months. We use them at least 4 times a week. Very satisfy so far. Very quiet. Although the washer is very deep. Short people like me have trouble reaching the bottom of the washer to remove the clothes. I have to have a small stool in front of the washer.

a nuimber of settings
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product has a number of settings for all types of wash. It has a large capacity, which is good for heavier items such as bedding. It is relatively quiet but some settings cause some noise when in the spin mode. It doesn't last long and isn't irritating in any way. We have yet to use the soaking tray.

Excellent Washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After finally convincing my husband our washer and dryer from 1995 just were not going to cut it since we are expecting a baby in a few weeks we bought this matching set. I'm in love with it. The built in soaking sink is amazing and perfect for us since I really dislike soaking/pre-treating stained clothing in bathroom sinks. This product is truly smart. It weighs the load for you before starting so it knows how much water to add. If the load becomes unbalanced (I.e. when washing pillows) it gives you an audio signal and time to adjust to load. If you are not around at the time it will then add more water and redo the spin cycle. This has only happened once and our old set used to shake so load with just towels I thought they would break. They are also very efficient and high capacity. I can fit my comforter, all my bed sheets, mattress cover, and shams plus an extra blanket with room to spare. The pre-loaded cycle options are abundant and easy to use and the ability to save customized cycle options has made my preferences for washing baby clothes a breeze. PG&E has gone down too! An extra bonus: the cheery little song the machine plays when the cycle is done! I would highly recommend these to anyone in the market for a new washer.

Only downside is the cost
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can you buy a cheaper washer? Yes. Will that washer have the level of functionality that this one has? In almost every case, no (At least I wasn't able to find one). Dispite having tons of features, this washer is really easy to use. It's quite and still does a fantastic job of washing your cloths. Overall, I really like this washer.

Good but
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like how it works but there is a tiny thing I don't like, every time that is unbalance, it stop and you have to untangle the clothes or balance the weight of the clothes, it do not keep going until you do it, and it make you loose time, specially if you are not paying attention closely.

Huge capacity.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We wash two to three times as much per load as we used to. It takes longer to wash but you are getting more done in that time. The washer is excellent, I have noticed that my clothes are cleaner. Takes some getting used to. My particular machine was an open box and has a smell that we are trying to get rid of. The variety of wash cycle features is astounding. Read the manual! Do not expect this to be the same ol' washer. Really high tech.

I like it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a set of the original Whirlpool front loaders which were hand me downs for the last 10 years. They still worked but no matter what I did I couldn't get the funky smell out of them and our clothes smelled weird after use. We also were getting a lot of holes in clothing so we decided to get the Samsung Activewash set while on sale. They are nice units. Like everyone has mentioned they are big and I sometimes hit my head on the wash basin when almost climbing into the washer to get out the clothes. My clothes don't smell funny anymore which is nice but there are a few things I'm not impressed with. First the length of the wash. Kind of the middle of the road complaint as I can change the wash time and I can also do 2 loads where as I could only do one before. Not a huge gripe but the wash times are a lot longer. Cleanliness of clothes is my bigger concern and honestly I'm still undecided here. It appears the clothes are coming out clean but not any more noticeably clean than my old set which I was convinced wasn't cleaning my clothes. The drain holes in this wash tub are very small and if there is any debris on the clothes it is left either in the tub or on the clothes at the end of the wash. This may be good so it doesn't rot hidden in the washer somewhere and cause the smell from my old unit, but it is frustrating when you pull out a garment and it's covered in leaves or pine needles or something. Yes, I try to remove this stuff before washing, but honestly I live in the mountains with kids and animals and a life so sometimes things get tossed in that I don't notice. We also air dry our clothes on racks if we can (I did buy matching dryer too) and if there is debris or fuzzballs on the clothes it appears they're still dirty after air drying. If I use the dryer it usually picks this up in the filter. So back to the point, I like the set but for the expense I'm not sure I would buy again.

New Samsung Washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased a new Samsung Activewash Washer. Bought the 5.2 capacity. It washes large loads well and handy to have the built-in sink to spot stained items and then dump them in to the washer. Overall, very good product and easy to use.

Good so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Previous washer was Maytag front-loading W/D - 10 years old; I had seen mixed reviews on the Samsung topload; here are the positives: 1-Great look, 2-Quiet enough-I have not experienced the 'loudness' commented on by some reviewers,3-Clothes are clean; I had one experience where black knit clothes showed evidence of white streaks; I attributed this to either using the cold setting or the softener not getting properly diluted; did not experience this on subsequent washings; 4-quicker wash cycles; have only used the ActiveWash feature once, since I have a sink in my laundry room, but it works as described; was not expecting water to continue to fill machine while using this feature, but upon consulting the handbook, learned this is working as designed; no real negatives yet, after 2 weeks' use.

The best washer I have ever had
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washer as a replacement for a 9 year LG front loaded. I was tired of my clothes smelling and the machine smelling. We did everything. Cleaned it on a regular basis, left the door open, etc. When the LG dryer broke for the second time, I decided it was time for all new and we were returning to top loader. I couldn't be happier with the machine. It is beautiful in color and cleans clothes like a champ! No more smell. We can leave the lid open! This machine has the built in sink which is the greatest thing! You can soak stuff and then just dump it right in. The jet wash and sanitize cycles are crazy! I have never I had these before. They really do the job well. This machine SHOULD have Wi-Fi and/or bluetooth connection such as its big brother but that is not a deal breaker for me. I got this on sale from Best Buy for $799. Worth waiting for this to go on sale as the average price across the net seems to be $1199.

Cleans good, Holds a lot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very pleased with the washer. I've only had it a couple of weeks so time will tell on its durability. But it holds a ton of laundry and cleans as advertised. My wife loves the soaking tray. The machine is also very quiet.

Very quite & beautiful washing machine!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The washing machine looks very pretty in my laundry room!! I love the built-in scrubbing board & the large capacity. I can wash lot more laundry at once than with my previous washer. And it runs extremely quite that I can hardly hear the washing & spinning cycle!! I could have given 5-stars only if the drum is not so deep as it is. I have to stand on a little stool to reach the bottom of the drum to get the laundry out even though I am NOT a short person.

Best Washer Owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went from a Samsung front load to this top load and am glad I made the swap back. The size of the drum makes the amount of clothes being washed look small even with large loads. Excellent cleaning and options available with this washer.
