This is a great device that SmartThings has come out with. I had a light that I had to turn on with either my phone or Alexa and now I have a physical button that I can use. It allows 3 options: 1 Click, 2 Clicks, and Hold. You can set it up to do different configurations for each. Great device at a great price!

I have 4 of these buttons and 3 of the 4 work great. The 4th one works well except it disconnects from the network fairly often. Ironically, it is the button that is closest to the SmartThings hub. I just keep a paperclip in the drawer near the button to press the reset button when needed.

I’ve been waiting for an official SmartThings button and was excited to get this item. While the button does work, if not used often it shows as disconnected. You need to then wake it up to get it to connect again. SmartThings told me that it’s a power saving option. Just frustrating you have wait a min or two after it’s disconnected to reconnect.

It looks like smsing is starting to phase these out. I’m sad because they were very well priced buttons that I used with my Hubitat device since they re simply zigged buttons. They have magnets built into them which makes it easy to stick anywhere.

A fun button. Carry it around in your pocket. My little nephew loves turning on and off the Christmas tree using the button. We have all of our smart plugs connected to it -- for all the window candles. Convenient. That's why this is good.

The button works great but it will go off line and I have to pull the battery and put it back in. After that it works fine. I am noticing that with all of the new Smatterings devices. It has three modes single tap, double tap and press and hold. I have programmed it to do three different things.

I was looking for a way to turn my Zigbee bulbs on and off in the event of an internet outage. This Samsung Button does the trick! At the time of this review, the native functionality within SmartThings allows you to program different actions for one press, two presses, and long press.

When paired with the SmartThings Hub, this button is awesome. It can trigger scripts as well as turn devices and lights on/off. It supports single and multiple tap scripts. It also includes a temperature sensor that can be used to activate scripts. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The Samsung button not only turns on and off lights and more, it can also give you temperature readings in the room you place it in. Allows me to monitor temps in the house so I can make adjustments while I"m away from home to keep my dogs comfortable.

You can configure three different actions to this; single click, double click, and long press. I use for my family living room lights to turn them on and off. My dad who isn't really interested in "smart home" uses often and actually likes it.

    Samsung Devices Compatible?

Even Samsung devices are almost impossible to connect, and then they don't stay connected. Great, new technology for having a smart home. There are few competitive systems. The hub was easy to set up. Even the Samsung SmartThings devices where almost impossible to connect to the hub. I almost packaged the entire thing up and returned it, had I not spent so much time and money trying to get it to work. When everything worked, it's great. As things get off-line, it's not worth the work to get the system back in working order. I'm not convinced that other manufacturer systems are better. Checked 'would recommend' because there wasn't a 'might' option.

This button is pretty simple, so it could maybe be cheaper, but it is handy to turn on and off, say, a smart bulb. It has a temperature sensor in it, too, for some reason, so that's cool.

Samsung SmartThings hub lost detection of the button once in a while. Have to reset the button. Samsung could have make the button zwave instead of zigbee.

Button works well, Wish the temperature would show up as a separate device so i could monitor the temperature with other devices that have a temperature sensor in them.
