Less getting off the couch

great , inexpensive dvd player

Didnt spend a lot on this but read the reviews and it seemed good, and i am not in the least disappointed. good value for the dollar if you have a lot of dvds hanging around that you like to watch

Easy set-up

You can't go wrong with a Samsung product

Brought it home, read all the directions and the player did not work. Long story short --- after 25 minutes of frustration with a Samsung customer service rep (not at all helpful) I tried "winging it" and the unit went on. My advice to you is skip the 800 number and don't pay much attention to the instructions. The remote has to be directly facing and not too far from the unit or it doesn't work properly.

Simple, functional device

We just needed a dvd player (we don't watch enough at home to require BluRay). This was the easy choice because it was Samsung (matching our TV and compatible with its remote) and was in the mid-price range. We are very happy with it.
