I know this is a i5 but it just lacks when it comes to power. The screen is beautiful for watching video but the rest of the machine is okay. Keyboard felt a little off, and the fingerprint sensor is in an interesting location. Pick it up when it is on sale.

I purchased this laptop as a replacement for a 9 year old Dell Inspiron. I'm retired and this little laptop does everything I need. It's small, fast and so lightweight and I have been pleased with the battery life. The screen is smaller than my previous laptop so I am having to adjust to that, but one month in, so far, so good.

Just a few things to consider, if you're thinking of getting this laptop. I am not super picky when it comes to laptops, but I still consider $850 to be a lot of money! With the new Macbooks having the heat/fan issues, I don't have $1500 to get a pro with two fans. I was looking in the $1000 and under range and saw this had good reviews. My experience after 24 hours: Took 5 hours to get all of the Windows updates set up. That's a long time, considering this is fairly new. During that, I simply could not do anything else, as the laptop was maxed considerably. The display is not great, even though this is a full HD display. I noticed jagged edges everywhere I turned. The screen bleeds, especially near the top, and it looks awful. If looks cheap, and don't be fooled by the "QLED" marketing. It is not better than a normal full HD LCD display. At least, I certainly didn't think so. The trackpad is one of the worst I've encountered. Since it doesn't have a glass finish, my fingers just skipped around and made it impossible to land the cursor where I needed it to go. It was incredibly frustrating. Also, the shift key is miniaturized near the enter key to allow for the fingerprint sensor key. I never knew how important having a normal shift key was until I got this laptop. I hit that fingerprint key almost every time...I suppose I'd get used to that, but seriously!? There are some bright spots. The build quality seemed good, and the keyboard had good travel. Lightweight, and looks nice. In the end, just too many little things that overall felt cheap. Consider your options, as there are many sub-$1000 laptops/ultrabooks that have better features for the price.

Gets the job done. Its small and compact. I like the fingerprint feature.
