Good computer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it for college is excellent. The screen brightness is perfect to watch any video. I do my class work with it and I can flip ip around and do everything thanks to the 360 One negative thing is that the sound is not too loud even if is in max so you need to connect you earphones or be in a quiet place to hear

Exactly What I Needed!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely the best first big purchase of the year!! I went into the store not knowing if I would find anything that I needed. Someone asked if I needed help so I said sure and this one was $200 off and had exactly what I needed. Would definitely buy at full price too, the display is also amazing!!

High quality, affordable, surprising.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was not expecting this laptop to perform as well as it does. This is a great ultrabook for anyone who doesn't need a dedicated graphics card. This machine boasts a beautiful QLED FHD screen, an 11th gen i7, sufficient RAM, a good keyboard/trackpad, an excellent fingerprint scanner, very good battery life at about 9 hours (non-intensive tasks) and overall the build quality is great. It has a very sleek finish and feels premium, the chassis is built out of aluminum which allows the laptop to weigh just under 3 pounds. The port selection is solid and the touch screen works well. The 360 hinge is sturdy enough (slight wobble) and provides more flexibility. As for cons, there is one major one which happens to be the complete lack of USB-C charging. This is unfortunate because this laptop can only be charged via a barrel charger. Otherwise, the speakers are average, but that's about it for cons. The best way to look at this device is to compare it to other premium ultrabooks. For the specs this machine has and at the price you can get it at (on sale), this is actually a competitive device when matched against similarly spec'd Dell XPS offerings. A Macbook Air starts at $1,250 (MSRP) for 512GB with 8GB of RAM (unified), which is much more expensive. If you are in the market for something like this, give it a shot. It might surprise you. PS: Ignore the "Expert Reviews" on this laptops page, as of this writing the reviews are actually based on the Galaxy Book Flex 2 and Flex 2 5G (these were not released in the US), not the Flex2 alpha.

Awesome
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very solid computer with a lot of power to accomplish all of my daily tasks. My only knock is the battery is not amazing but it is also not horrible. I wish the charger was not the barrel port but other than that I love it! I would recommend to anyone.

Overall, I like the computer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I love this computer. The only negative so far is the keyboard backlight will not stay on when there is ambient light. I have taken it to 2 Gerks squads and neither could figure it out. I put a coin over the light sensor which works, but do not like this feature.

Impressive
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been very impressed with the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha. It's quite a nice little laptop/tablet. The Intel i7 core hasn't seemed strained by anything I've thrown at it. And mine has 16GB RAM and the 512 GB SSD, which also seems reasonably quick. The computer doesn't seem to get bogged down and tackles all tasks quickly and efficiently. The screen is absolutely gorgeous, especially for a QLED. Colors are rich without being over-saturated. Images are crisp and clear. Image quality rivals some more expensive machines. The hinges appear to be sturdy, and the computer transitions cleanly from laptop to tablet and back to laptop. I haven't seen any glitches, which is a big deal since other hybrids like this tend have some lag with the position switch. This little guy just goes about doing it's job without any hesitation. Of course, there is some screen bounce when you use the touchscreen, as there is with virtually every touchscreen laptop. The fingerprint reader works perfectly. I have been critical of prior Samsung fingerprint readers, but this one has been quick and 100% accurate. Since this is not the "premium" level flex laptop for Samsung, I had expected some degree of lag. But I am very impressed all the way around. The screen is fabulous, the computer is quick, everything works right out of the box just like you'd hope. I've had it running looped video for extended periods to test the temperature. The fan is relatively quiet, but you can hear it. However, The Flex2 Alpha has never gotten anything more than mildly warm. I'm very impressed by how well it controls external temperature under load. The keyboard is a little shallow, which is typical for the breed. I'd also like I bit more convex shape to the top of the keys rather than them being so flat. Some texture makes touch typing a lot easier, especially on a somewhat compressed keyboard. But that's not even really a complaint. They chicklet style keyboard is what I expect with this form factor. I would just like to have been pleasantly surprised. My only other minor gripes are the sound is bit more tinny than some other options and - as with far too many new computers - it comes with McAfee installed. I view McAfee as worse than having a virus, so it's always the first thing I uninstall. Oh, I do have one actual complaint: the cover is a fingerprint magnet. A matte exterior would have worked so much better. This little guy shows off every fingerprint every time you touch it. Setup was simple and quick. The touchpad is reasonably sized and works well. I have no issues at all using it. Windows-based machines have really improved in this area in recent years, and this little Sammy does a great job. Overall, the Flex2 Alpha has exceeded my expectations. I really like this little guy.

Great Experience

Computer
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this cause we thought it was great according to the sales person at the time. Only had it for a week and it was awful. Was doing a job application and the whole computer would restart on me. The computer was brand new we spend good money on this to work poorly. Had to return product cause it was not worth my money. The associate that helped us return/trade the computer for my new Apple iPad was awesome. He was very understanding TO THE SITUATION WHY WE DON’t want the computer anymore with all the tech issue. Love my iPad and it works way better than this computer.

Back to school solution
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well made. Perfect for high school or college, especially if paired with Samsung phone. Reasonably decent for most games. Works with most "active screen" pens (have batteries). Tablet and presentation mode for classroom and office presentations. Great value for price.

Strong performance and slim build factor
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 1165G7 CPU is Intel's new 10nm core, which has pretty good performance to power ratio. It also has significant better integrated GPU than previous models, so you can even play basic games like LOL. Otherwise just regular slim laptop design, quality is OK, and I got good price during a deal.
