The Note 4's cameras, display, CPU, memory and display are the industry's best. I do not regret buying this phone at all.

I had this phone for about 2 weeks. I loved the size of the phone and the stylus. The software worked really well with the stylus which I was impressed by. The camera was good and the performance was good at well. I play Hearthstone and it was way better than my previous phone but that game on phones is a bad idea anyways lol.
The reason I returned the phone is that my wife go tthe galaxy S6 Edge and I was jealous of the wireless charging. I didnt like the Note Edge just as preference so I purchased the wireless charging back. It worked great and I enjoyed it but It adds a few millimeters to the back of the phone and I could not find a case to fit it. That and coupled with at random times an app would just open. I would recommend this phone to others except the Note 5 will be coming out soon, I would just wait for that.
I traded it for the LG G4

This is an awesome phone. I use technology all the time and for my "first personal phone" I wanted something with a larger screen, good battery life and a good camera. This phone filled all those needs.
The screen is huge when you compare it to other phones yet I can still fit it in my pocket. ( I feel bad for my psvita )
The Camera is one of the best on a phone if not the best. There were additional apps you could download to give you more functions such as: Slow motion, Panarama, Animated photo and more.
The battery life on this is as good as other family phones like the LG G3 and Galaxy S5. I play games on my phone and it still lasts me all day.
Must say it is a little bulky if you use an Otter box and on your side but its nice to have for the protection. When I don't want to clip it on my side I just use the main case and put it in my pocket. That's the only thing I found to be of any pause for someone.
The screen is large enough where I connected to a Virtual Desktop and can still maneuver around and do work. Very handy. Beats having to have a laptop or tablet with you.
I would recommend this phone if you are looking for larger screen but smaller than a tablet and full features as any other phone out there.
Love it.

This is a high quality android phone, without a doubt. Excellent battery life, a plethora of features and options, and the stylus is great for everyone! I am thoroughly satisfied with the phone, I have but a few qualms. Firstly, Samsung has a decent amount of bloatware pre-installed on the phone, many of which have annoying / misleading notifications. Secondly, if you are expecting to love it out of the box, you might be setting yourself up for disappointment. Upon receiving the phone, I meticulously combed through the settings to make it custom to my wants / needs. Other than editing settings, I disabled many of the pre-installed apps because I either found them to be useless, obnoxious, or a combination of the two. Thirdly, I added my own applications, wallpapers, and organized all of my apps into folders to reduce the large amount of clutter the phone has out of the box. I particularly recommend an app to change the way the default icons look, they are all pretty ugly! Although I have listed quite a few downsides, the are HEAVILY outweighed by the pros this phone brings. I simply have not listed all of them because there are so many. I'm a happy customer!

The note was my jump from apple. Yes, horror, I left apple. It's a bit of a learning curve, but the screen size is so much nicer, graphics are better, camera is better. We held out for the iPhone 6 to debut and we're severely disappointed, add in the software malfunctions and you have a very disgruntled customer. We saw the note 4 at best buy and I was hooked. First per order phone I've ever done. The Google voice commands is extremely accurate and the keyboard type assist is actually useful. I have been showing up my die hard apple grandpa with a Google vs siri battle and my phone understands every command. Siri has yet to get one right. The noise cancelling mic is fantastic for not picking up background noise. The S pen is also very accurate and stays lodged in its spot very well. I was worried about it slipping out. The rapid charge is awesome as well. Battery usage is very modest for the amount of time I spend on my phone. I don't use probably 1\3 of the feature I can, but this phone works exceptionally well and even though it's set up very differently from apple, it's worth the time. Best buy Samsung squad was awesome to work withe too

After 1 Year - Review

Coming up on one year with this device. It has been updated to Android 5.1.1 as of a few weeks ago and rumors are that it will see 6.0 early next year so while I wish updates were pushed out sooner, I'm glad that it's going to see Marshmallow.
I thought that this phone just had a terrible camera but as it turns out, mine was defective. I had it replaced under warranty by AT&T around 6 months in and saw a great improvement. Not the best camera out there but still a solid shooter.
The screen is gorgeous. Still one of the best ones out there as long as you can get used to the size! I rarely put a case on mine because the extra thickness makes it too big in my opinion.
The past few months the phone started shutting off itself off between 4-10% battery left. A sign of a failing battery. Your battery does degrade over time so having the option to replace it easily in this phone is great (too bad they took out that option in their 2015 lineup!). I had noticed a gradual decrease in screen on time anyway so I bought an Anker replacement battery.
Around the same time I replaced the battery, I started using Package Disabler from the App store (with some xml's I got from XDA and modified). Now, I regularly see 7.5-8 hours of SoT and have experienced as high as 9 on occasion. After Package Disabler, my phone is blazing fast! I highly recommend getting it from the play store, you just have to be careful of what you disable. I also have the animations (under developer options) set to half speed which helps.
I dont use the S-Pen hardly at all! I thought I would use it a lot, but it just isn't for me I guess. A lot of the times, it just doesn't do what i would expect it to be able to do (such as highlight specific text). It's highly dependent on what type of page or screen your on. I also don't draw with it, take notes, or any of the other impractical-yet-cool things they like to display in the commercials.
In the end, I'm very happy with the phone but I will probably go with something smaller in the future!

Samsung has impressed me once again with the Note 4. The screen is clear and crisp. The camera is very precise and rich. The speed and battery are phenomenal as well. Multitasking and moderate use do not have me running for the charger as often as with my previous Note 2. Its just perfect in size and functionality/customization..

Hello … So I wanted to write a little something here, not for current Samsung owners, but for apple owners whom are afraid or a little hesitant to leave the iPhone franchise …… SOOOO, I have always been an iPhone owner … ever since the very first one … I stood in line, paid my 500 and have been keeping up with their models all the way until the 5, shoot I even bought the 32gb Wi-Fi/3g 1st gen iPad when it came out … And I was completely and totally in love and happy, OR SO I THOUGHT.
I think my biggest gripe about apple is the stronghold they have on you and the limitations your handheld computer (because, let’s face it, that’s what it is) has. If they don’t want you to do anything, YOU WON’T …. Even with the iPad … Can’t even use programs I paid $20+ dollars for because the darn thing won’t update passed 5.1, even though it’s larger and thicker than the “Air” models … And they won’t dare upgrade you equipment if you send them in … bleh …. OK, ENOUGH SOAPBOX RANTING LOL
I FREAKING LOVE THE SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 4!!!
The Note 4 does everything that an iPhone will and MORE! Plus let’s face it, that active stylus is the coolest thing on the planet. The software is crazy easy to use, the battery IS REMOVEABLE, AND you can add a micro SD car to make this already massive 32 GB unit twice as massive …. I know sometimes it’s hard to let go of what you are used to, believe me, but you won’t be sorry, and if you just have to have that iPhone layout … guess what …. Yep, there’s an app for that …. Actually the play store has TONS of apps … and tons of FREE apps … stop hesitating and make the move, you won’t be sorry you did!
I hope this helped a little

I chose this phone for three main reasons: I like the Android operating system, I've always been very satisfied with the Samsung brand, and I think this particular phone is the PERFECT size. There are lots of smaller phones and a good number of larger ones, but the Note 4 is perfect for me. The screen is large enough for me to see everything clearly and enjoy watching video and viewing pictures, but still small enough for me to handle most operations one-handed. The display quality is stunning! It's loaded with so many apps I don't even know where to begin - and frankly, I don't use many of them (but that's just me). And the battery life is better than I've ever seen in any cellphone.

The screen is amazing. Especially when compared side by side with another similar phone. The colors are so vibrant due to the technology of the screen.
I love the size of the phone. Multi-tasking actually makes sense on the Note4. Lots of screen real estate.....
The stylus is crazy good. Hard to put words to how cool it feels to use. And if this helps, i actually prefer to use the (smart) stylus instead of my fingers. You'll see ;) Because the stylus is smart, you can rest your hand on the glass and still draw/write. Love it!
Camera takes amazing pictures. If i could post one here i would. (File would have to be compressed to post. and wouldn't do it justice) Seriously amazing.
Oh yeah, the battery.... it lasts all day. And the super charge gets you charged up so quick. Even a last second quick 5 min charge before you leave the house is substantial.
I don't see anything wrong with this phone. For me, this is by far the best phone I've ever owned. If you are fortunate enough to pick one up, you wont regret it.
Next Big THING = Note 4

I was going to do it, it was going to go over to the dark side (Iphone 6 plus). Luckily I decided not to do it. Don't get me wrong, I love IPADS, but for my phone I do not use as many education apps (I love Apples Apps). I was already familiar with "The Note" because I have the 2nd version. This phone has a higher resolution screen, better cameras, expandable memory, and the S pen for drawing or handwriting notes, It is, for the most part, a two hand operation while using this beast. However, I would say that this phone is more beauty than beast. So far I've used the S-Health app and am considering getting a watch to go along with it.

I’m a huge Apple fanboy, I use Mac’s for work and at home every day, myself, wife and son’s have iPhone, iPads and iPad mini’s and we’re heavily into the Apple eco system.
However I have to say I’m board with Apple iPhone and iPads, I’ve had every iPhone from day one release of the first generation and iPad’s 1,2 & minis.
There’s not really been anything new for a long time, yes they get new screens, new internals and new IOS systems but nothing new in exciting features.
A little while back I bought my first Android device a Kindle HDX and I find myself using that everyday, I have not touched my iPad since I got the Kindle, has an Amazon prime member the Kindles been great.
So this got me thinking and I started looking at Android phones, after a lot of research I narrowed it down to a Samsung S5 or Note 4.
Samsung phones just seemed feature rich and full of new inventive ideas. I liked the S5 for it’s water proof features, it would make a great replacement for my Garmin Zumo GPS on my motorbike.
Then when I investigated the Note series I was hooked with the s-pen idea. Finally something new and exciting to make me want to carry my phone again.
A big help in my decision was Best Buys in house Samsung centers, I was lucky enough to find a really helpful and knowable trainer that had just finished teaching a class at Best Bug and she spent a good 40 minutes going over the Galaxy Note 3.
I ended up purchasing the Galaxy Note 4 (AT&T) and the Galaxy Gear 2 watch, I very thrilled with them both. There has been a huge learning curve moving from the iPhone to Note 4 a lot of things that I think should be on by default where not and I had to search the web to find the answer. For example, I bound the Note 4 to my car’s bluetooth, I could answer the phone sometimes but not others. After scratching my head I figured out it would answer if the screen was a sleep but not if it’s locked. After searching bogle I found that I had to dig into some nested settings to configure the bluetooth to answer locked phone. I would have thought that should be on by default if you bind your phone to a bluetooth accessory then does that not indicate you want to use the phone remotely.
I had to set up my work, gmail and mac mail manually but now al working, messaging was fun, I had to call Apple support to remove my phone number from the iMessage server so text would come through. 99% of my work colleagues have iPhones, the rest of my family have iPhones so not having iMessage on the device has been a learning curve, Samsung/Android has chat on which is a like iMessage and there is an iOs version but why would any of my colleagues install another app just to appease me. But text seems to be coming through ok now, there does seem to be more on the App store than the Play store but I have always found what I was looking for. I’m not a mobile hardcore gamer, I play the odd casual game while waiting at the say the doctors office, so if a certain game wasn’t on my device I would care.
The s-pen is great, love being able to write down an address and have it convert into a contact, I can write faster than I can type on a mobile device. Taken notes, cutting and pasting between multi-windows, floating windows just out standing. The phone is chock full of features I’ve only scratched the surface. The camera quality is outstanding and take incredibly detailed photos, I took a close up picture of our small dog and the same picture with an iPhone 6. The jpg file from the iPhone 6 had color bleed around the dog hairs, the galaxy note 4 version was pin sharp with no color bleed.
One of my Son’s iPhone 5 is due for replacement Jan/Feb next year and he has already stated he wants the Note 4 instead of the iPhone 6. My other son has the iPhone 6 already and his happy with it because he likes the Apple echo system but his not thrilled, he basically said it’s a larger iPhone 5 just more space between the icons. His words where not a good use of screen real estate, Apple seemed to be relying on the brand rather than coin out with cutting edge new features.
My Son plugged in his PS4 game controller via USB and it just worked out of the box, he downloaded a couple of games and was having a blast using the controller meant the screen was not obscured by finger controls. The screen is just beautiful, high quality bright rich colors, so pleasing on the eyes.
The integration with the Samsung Gear 2 has been great, I’m a software developer by trade so I was able to code some nice looking and functional watches.
The two work together seamlessly and I can answer and make calls from the watch. I will be getting he new Gear S when it releases later this year, that looks like another innovative device.
So would I persuade anyone to switch from iPhone to Samsung like I did? absolute not, phone are a very personal and you should not be persuaded by anyone. If you like Apple and love the iPhone.iPad eco system then stick with them you will be very happy. However if like many your board with the iDevice I would recommend spending some time at the Samsung center at a local Best Buy and keep an open mined and do the research.
If you decide to switch there is a learning curve, you just have to stick with it, I know my wife would have gave up and returned the phone after a couple of days, I stuck with it and although I said to myself I would give myself the full 14 days to decide to return or keep. Just one week in I’m keeping the phone, I love everything about it. Open, customizable, feature reach, lots and lots of hidden niceties that I keep finding every day.
Remember a Phone is not for life, you can upgrade every two years and if needed you can buy a new phone although at full price if life becomes unbearable.
The attached photo had to be cropped due too the attachment limit of 5mb but gives a good example of the camera qulaity

This is my first Android but second Samsung phone and it is by far the greatest single piece of technology I have ever owned. I also own the 2012 Note 10.1 on which I have loved the S Pen, but this one's S Pen is incomparably better. Samsung really did a great job improving on one of their coolest selling points. S Note is so great for me as a student cause I can take notes and such without paper and my backpack is SO much lighter. I'm also a former die-hard Windows Phone user, but I left because Windows just simply isn't keeping up with the market in apps and device support like they should. If you're coming from where I was, I highly recommend this phone. It still has a free Office suite and OneNote, which I use a lot at school. I could write a review all day, but I'll suffice this with some final key points. First, the camera and biometric sensor are awesome. I really am becoming a healthier person using this phone with S Health. Second, the size is great for my hands. I know a lot of people like iPhone-size phones, but that's a steaming pile because grown men look ridiculous typing on those little screens. This size is perfect for my fat fingers. Third, the phone just looks sexy and its a great ensemble piece, if you're in to all of the little details.

When I first walked in to the store, I was looking to get the Samsung Galaxy S5, but since my phone had completely stopped working, I was in a situation where I had to get something regardless. Well, the store that I went to didn't have the S5 in stock, and honestly, their selection of Android based phones was very limited. They had a ton of iPhones, but I really don't like the iOs operating system, so it was matter of picking the best of what was left. I chose the Note 4, despite it being a LOT larger than what I was used to and what I thought I could live with. I have to admit, that I am pleasantly surprised. There have been very few instances where my phone was too big for where I had hoped to store it, but having the larger screen and expanded capabilities has made my work life so much easier. I now can use my phone to dial in to my work computer and can easily see what I'm doing without having to zoom in. It's also great for creating lists for going grocery shopping, and all in all has made my day to day a lot more streamlined.

I've had the Note 4 for about a month now, having switched from an iPhone 5. While there is a bit of a learning curve moving from iOS to Android, it has been a great experience. Nothing against Apple products, as I still have and use my iPad and Mac desktop, but this phone is wonderful to use. Large screen, great looking display, and very fast processor make for a very nice user experience.

This is my first smart phone and I am still learning all the things it is capable of. What a difference from the non-smart cell phone I had been using. The reason I chose the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 instead of the newest model ...the Note 5 is because of the removable battery and the removable/replaceable memory chip (up to a 128GB chip) on the Note 4....they stop allowing both those things on the Note 5. You need to consider this, if it is important to you. I had to make a choice and was guided by a good friend that convinced me to go this way. So far so good its a great phone and I love the "S-PEN" stylist that comes included and stores within the phone. Yes the phone is a little on the large side, but you will appreciate that larger screen when viewing video or photos or using the soft keyboard, and once you learn how the speech recognition feature works, you won't need the keyboard very much !

The Note 4 is a solid update from the Galaxy S5. Yes, it's big; a phablet if you will. But, it's twice as fast, better looking, and well built. The stylus is also a great touch. I never thought I would have any use for it, but I am finding that I am using it quite a bit. It was either this or the S6, and I really need my expandable memory. This upgrade was a no-brainer.

This is the first phone I was willing to get that didn't have a full slide out keyboard, because I never could stand to use the touch screen ones. I so love the S Pen and the ability to hand write things then it converts it to text, which it is very accurate at. I also love the drawing capabilities of the pen, among it's many other features. I have been pleasantly surprised by how responsive & easy to use the touch screen keyboard is even without the pen, though! This phone is fast, has an amazing screen, so fun to use, packed full of awesome apps, has a great camera and call sound quality is excellent. I am a female and have no trouble with the size of it. The battery is very good, usually lasts me 2 or more days between charges, and the fast charging cord is very fast...only takes a couple hours to go from 0-100%. I am not a heavy phone user, but probably an average user. I text a lot & am on the Internet via WiFi pretty frequently, but I am not into games.
The only complaint I have, and it's really minor, is that I miss having a menu button...it was replaced with a most recently used app button, which is actually pretty cool, but I'm still trying to get used to no menu button. Although, it is not hard to find and do all the things the menu button would do, so I can't complain too much.
There are still many features I have yet to try out on this phone, but so far I am loving it! I will say, I am upgrading from a Samsung Captivate Glide, which is pretty old in phone years, but it was still a good phone.
