Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite's screen size, ease of use, battery life, and price. Many also appreciate its ample storage, lightweight design, and sufficient memory. While some users noted performance limitations when multitasking, and the camera quality could be improved, the positive feedback on other features outweighs these concerns. Overall, the tablet is considered a good value for its price point.

Very portable tablet, easy to use.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since 2019 I have used Samsung Tab A 8.0 (32gb) with S Pen. After over 2 years of use, I had just 8gb left on my Internal space so I uninstalled some apps. Then I discovered Tab A7 Lite 64gb Tab. I bought this TABLET to hold in one hand, like a big, big phone...PORTABILITY. I like it more than I expected. PROS: 1. Screen is bright and better than I anticipated. It has great colors in YouTube Videos, movies etc. 2. Larger battery capacity than my 2019 Samsung Tab A 8.0. I charged it on fast charger and charged quickly. 3. Easy to use, easy to hold in one hand. Not heavy/bulky like my Tab S7 Plus. 4. For just a few dollars more I bought 64gb with 4gb Memory so it opens apps quicker, no lagging. 5. After installing lots of apps, not games, I have now have 40gb left in Internal, 6. I added 256gb SD Card for my music, files etc. Apps stay on the Internal. Cons: 1. This is a BUDGET TABLET, yet it is a good deal. It is not like the Tab S7+ with 12.4 screen or the Samsung S6 Lite 10.4 (I own both). But for the great price paid, I got a good deal. This tablet fits into my medium purse, I use it to hold on my hand for reading eBooks, checking emails, internet and YouTube. * For typing long files, I use my Tab S7 Plus 12.4 or Samsung S6 Lite.

Great for light gaming and media consumption!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems like Christmas 2021 was sponsored by Samsung.... I purchased this tab to replace my aging and failing Nvidia Shield LTE tablet. I loved my Shield tablet. Still, its battery is shot and it always had performance issues with hitching and lag. I was in the market for a successor. My primary use case is playing two SuperCell games. Clash of Clans and Boom Beach. These games while not demanding have slowly over the years outgrown what the Shield could handle. Also, I like to use my tablet for media consumption. I like to use Youtube, Twitch, and other streaming apps when not playing games. Often the Shield would crash when going from a game to streaming app and back and forth. Audio would cut out on the Shield when in games. I suspect the Shield's 2GB of RAM was just not cutting it and that it did not release memory when going from one app to the other. After doing research, and not wanting to put a lot of money into a new tablet, this one seemed to fit the bill. It has double the RAM and storage of the Shield. Granted the display resolution is not as nice as the Shield. However, for day to day use, it is fine and I do not notice any issues. Playing my 2 aforementioned games, the A7 Lite handles them fine. No audio issues like the Shield had. Spec wise, not real keen on a Mediatek SoC, but the A7 Lite has no issues running my games and streaming apps. I have no lag in the UI and everything is smooth. This is a worthy successor to the Nvidia Shield. The size at 8.7 inches is a little larger than the Shield but still sits on my desk where the Shield was without taking up any more noticeable space. I did not want a 10 inch tablet. With my light use, the battery seems pretty resilient thus far. I can charge it every other day. It will be interesting to see how it holds up over time. I put a 64GB Sandisk microsd card in the A7 Lite. The same one I had in the Shield. I have a lot of digital comics and audio books stored on the microsd card. I will have to see how it is to consume ebooks and digital comics but so far the display is fine for my needs. The unit feels quality. Pretty much like any Samsung personal consumer electronic product I have had. Compared to my daughter's Tab S6 Lite and my brother in laws Tab S7 this is not as nice but for the price point I am very pleased. There is a little bit of Samsung bloatware on the unit. Some of it can be uninstalled, some of it can be disabled. Not nearly as bad as on a Samsung phone. I wish there was more competition and quality offerings in the budget Android tab space from other vendors. However, I am very pleased thus far with this device.

Great Tablet for the money!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the title says this is a Great tablet for the price. It works well and isn't all that slow. However for those of you used to far more expensive and fast tablets this may not be the one for you but for those who just want a budget tablet they can do a few things like internet, email, movies and a few games this works just fine. It is lite, smaller, and the battery does last quite a while depending on what you use it for. If you do a lot of gaming or movies, it may run down a bit faster, but then again so do the more expensive models. Essentially great for those wanting a good tablet for a cheap amount. I do however recommend the 64GB model over the 32 GB as it does a bit more and is a bit faster.

Worst Tablet EVER
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchsed this tablet to use for a mobile game I play after asking the advice of the sales person in the laptop/tablet area. This is by far the worst Tablet I've EVER used, and as a teacher, I've bought and used MANY. It doesn't hold a charge long, the screens are VERY slow to load with the game I purchased it for, when I plug it in, it shows 0% battery and one of those yellow exclamation points over the charging port, the screen, even on its brightest setting, isn't very bright. If you'd like to use your tablet for.something other than a $127 paper weight, go with a different tablet.

Good little tablet
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve tried Apple, Amazon, and Android tablets before but was surprised with this Samsung A7 Lite 8.7” tablet. The pros: light weight, long lasting battery, bright screen, good sound, good base storage of 64 GB, up to 1 TB expandable storage, tablet on sale at a very decent price. The cons: this tablet is physically slick, get a case to help you hold onto the thing. Apple users might also want to know that apps aren’t as safe as with the Apple store. In the first week, I was resetting the tablet to factory settings because of an app that hijacked the core functionality of my tablet. It simply was impossible to uninstall the little monster without the reset. Overall: a great tablet rich in features and a joy to own as long as you stick to trusted apps (Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc.). Recommendations: Buy a case and a screen protector and get a micro SD card. These will all enhance your experience with this tablet.

This Could Be The Tablet For You!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a simple tablet that I could use for e-books, light video streaming and as a game controller for Zwift, but I didn't want to spend $$$$$$ for an iPad (even though I prefer ios.) This fit the bill. Pros: display size hit the sweet spot for me (it has to mount on bike handlebars), price, build quality, memory card slot, bluetooth, a plethora of available cases/stands, access to the Play Store (which disqualified Fire tablets for me) and Samsung reputation. Cons: the display is HD, but it can't compete with the latest OLED and/or Apple displays, it has a noticeable lag when launching some apps, but not too bad once you're used to it, the camera isn't great, the display is very prone to retaining fingerprints (adding another layer of glass really helped with that). So, it's not the fastest, nor does it have the sharpest display, and the camera is, well, there. But, none of that mattered to me. If you need a reasonably priced tablet for travel, e-books, light gaming and video streaming, I would recommend the A7 Lite to you. BUT spend the extra $20 or so dollars and get the 64 GB version as the system software eats up a lot of that memory. 32 GB is just not enough.

If you have an old Tab A 8.0, BUY THIS A7 LITE!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have an old (painfully slow) Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 you still use because 8 inches is the perfect size and there is no other 8" choice out there, *** buy this new Tab A7 Lite 8.7" NOW! Just do it!! *** Why: A7 Lite completely fixes the speed problem with Tab A 8.0". Fast! Note that I bought the 64 GB A7 Lite version that has 4 GB of RAM rather than the 3 GB in the 32 GB version, probably helps too on speed. For the small price difference, consider getting this 64 GB version! The A7 Lite is 8.7" rather than 8.0" on the Tab A, even though the physical case is the same size on both, because the A7 Lite's bezel is just shrunk to give you a bigger screen, especially top and bottom. The bezel on the Tab A was too large anyway. Fixed! Power port is now a USB-C that works in either direction!! No more turning the power plug around in the middle of the night (Tab A 8.0") to get it inserted. The A7 Lite comes with the power adaptor in the box! This A7 Lite has Samsung Smart Switch as part of the setup screens and it works **perfectly** to transfer everything from your old Tab A 8.0" (I imagine transferring from a 10.4" Samsung Tablet would work great too). Start Smart Switch up on your Tab A, then bring the two a few inches apart (uses nearfield communication apparently) and follow the screens on the two. The A7 Lite 8.7" will want the Wi-Fi setup first thing on setup - have your password ready. I bought the Samsung matching book cover too - works great. Recommended. To get the bag open there is an adhesive flap on the SIDE. I see in the reading it is possible to even buy the A7 Lite 8.7 with LTE, and hence cell phone service, activated. Enjoy!!

Good but not great tablet!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an update on my previous Samsung Tablet S2 which was so old it wasn't getting any more Android updates (for a few years!). I really liked my S2, but it didn't have enough RAM or storage and the OS was 3 generations out of date. I really like the 8-9" screen. The tablet fits in the hand better than the 11" tablets and it is much lighter. The A7 Lite is great with the 4gb of RAM and 64 gb of storage. The screen is good for it's size. The sound is much better than my old S2. The table is heavier than the S2, probably due to the metal back. The biggest drawback to this A7 Lite, is the processor. The processor is a couple of steps down from my S2! If Samsung would have just put in a processor with the same specs, I would have given this tablet 5 stars. With the slower processor, I notice definite lag on games. No lag or problems with video. But the gaming experience is subpar. Why did Samsung go with a less capable processor? I would gladly have paid $75-100 more for a better processor! My Galaxy S21 phone smokes my A7 Lite for speed! Samsung, are you listening? Put in a better processor with the next model!

This Samsung tablet is awesome.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For over 4 1/2 years I was using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1in tablet which was/still is a great tablet. I just recently got this Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite 8.7in and it's awesome so far for everything and it's an upgrade in everyway over the Tab A 10.1in from 2016. This Tab A7 Lite has Android 11 installed with 4gb of ram and 64gb storage and at first the screen size seems small, but the smaller screen size of 8.7in to me seems to be the perfect size for a tablet. I would definitely recommend this Samsung tablet.

Great Tablet for Kids
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When my daughter was younger, we picked up a cheap tablet for her to play games on and to watch movies. Unfortunately, that tablet only had 32 gigs of storage and filled up quite fast. About a year ago, we were looking to replace that tablet. We needed something with more built in storage, and a little more RAM if possible. This tablet met both of those requirements. This was one of very few, if not the only one, that had 64 gigs of internal storage without the screen being huge. We liked the size since it was easier for her to hold. We also liked that it had 4 gigs of RAM too. Over the past year it's been a great tablet for her. So much so that I recommended it to my sister for my nephew, and we also picked up another one for our youngest daughter. Movies play well on this tablet and look really good too. Games also play well. The sound quality is better than you'd expect from a tablet this size. We've also not had an issue with running out of storage, which is great. At this sale price, it's a great option for your kids. And since it's an Android tablet, you also get full access to the Google Play Store which is a missing feature of similar Amazon Fire Tablets. Definitely an option to keep in mind if shopping for a basic tablet. So far we've not been disappointed.

Better than 2 (now failed) Amazon Fire HD 8's
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For context, I had already decided I am tired of Amazon's planned obsolescence of cheap tablets. Their devices (I own several of varying sizes) start off great and then fail quickly. Importantly, I prefer an 8" device for reading, so this limits the available options. I agree with others about the screen; however, Samsung did itself no favors by including pixelated wallpaper and lock screen images. When I switched to a photo, it was much easier to see that the screen quality was only slightly lower than my Fire HD 8. I already own Samsung phones, so the ecosytem is very familiar. No issues, but needs the 64 gb. People have mentioned lag, but I'm just not seeing it. I'd grown so disgusted by the lengthy lag on Amazon devices. This tablet is flying just fine so far (e.g., on YouTube, Netflix, email). I don't game, so no comments there. I do wish it had screen sleep mode. It's only been two weeks, but so far, so good.

Great Tablet For The Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Positives: Snappy and responsive. I use it for astronomy programs and a few games and it works great. I've added a 256GB microSD card and it makes for a great reader with a ton of storage. It's also a great size to run GAIA GPS on when I'm off road. Good battery life. Negatives: I still haven't found a case that's just what I want but I knew the selection would be limited compared to an iPad. I get spotty success with the location based automatic login, it requires me to login more often than not in locations that I've added as "safe". That's pretty much all my complaints.

Nice size
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little tablet is the perfect size for a small tablet. The screen is a fingerprint magnet which is a bit hard to wipe the smudges off. It came with 64 GB of storage but the expandable SD card would not allow moving apps to the SD card. It had Android 12 but updated right away to Android 14 with the December 2023 security patch. Wish it had a bit more processing power as the mediatek p22 was laggy. Battery life was excellent. My tablet also had very slight backlight bleed through but did not affect viewing.
