Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite's screen size, ease of use, battery life, and price. Many also appreciate its ample storage, lightweight design, and sufficient memory. While some users noted performance limitations when multitasking, and the camera quality could be improved, the positive feedback on other features outweighs these concerns. Overall, the tablet is considered a good value for its price point.

This little tablet is the perfect size for a small tablet. The screen is a fingerprint magnet which is a bit hard to wipe the smudges off. It came with 64 GB of storage but the expandable SD card would not allow moving apps to the SD card. It had Android 12 but updated right away to Android 14 with the December 2023 security patch. Wish it had a bit more processing power as the mediatek p22 was laggy. Battery life was excellent. My tablet also had very slight backlight bleed through but did not affect viewing.

I like the size of this tablet. Not to big but big enough that I can comfortable read it watch a show or movie. I used it first on a long flight. I downloaded movies and shows because the flight. With the addition of a micro SD card it has plenty of memory. The battery life is very impressive. I have been using it for almost a year and I use it almost every day.

The tablet works great. I took it on the airplane flying to Europe and the battery was still 65% after 9 hour flight. I was watching downloaded movies and shows and played games during the flight. I also purchased a 256 GB Micro SD card for external storage where I can keep photos and videos. I like the size of it, not too small not too large, easily fits in a small bag. I also use it for reading ebooks rented from the local library and digital newspapers and magazines.

Not the fastest tablet on the block but not so slow that it's annoying or unusable. Serves its intended purpose of light gaming, web browsing, email, and streaming. WiFi works well, no lag or buffering. Like the size, not too big and not too small. Lightweight, easy to carry. Clear and bright video. Sound is ok for streaming. Easily connected Sony bluetooth earbuds and Bose headphones for private listening. Battery life is pretty good. Lots of Samsung bloatware that can't be removed.

Our new Samsung-Galaxy Tab A7 Lite 8.7 64 GB is a great option for us to enjoy watching movies, tv, sending emails, checking the web and more. Ours came with Wi-Fi . It is a great size (8.7 inches), easy to use and to carry with you when you leave the house. It's more powerful than some with 64 gigabytes and Ram at 4 gig. For Samsung users: this tablet and your Samsung phone can be synced together and have all your info available on both if you so choose. Visually it is attractive and has a matching cover that we purchased at Best Buy.

I really love my tablet. The screen is a perfect size and it is easy to operate. I mirrored my phone for easy set up. Sometimes it lags a little so that is the reason for the 4 stars. Im happy with my purchase and the price I got it for on a Deal of the Day.

My Amazon Fire 8 was slowing down so much that using it required doing chores for each tap. This A7 is quite speedy, decent screen, lots of storage, and can use a microSD card! At $110 + tax, this was a steal even if it's an older generation. I mainly read books on it and do Clash of Clans once in a while. Very decent battery life too.

64GB/4GB RAM Version: Ordered it online, went to pick up next day, greeted by very friendly staff, and was given the tablet in under a minute after entering store. I've been building computers, and had many mobile smart toys including iPods, smart phones, iPads, etc... for a very long time; so I'd like to think that I can provide a fair assessment of this A7 Lite. It really is nice, and an inexpensive price. I've updated it from Android 11 to 13, and have installed roughly 5 apps plus Bitdefender Total Security (paid for ver.) There's no observed slowness of any sorts yet, and the Prime Video movie I watched was a nice quality video. The battery seems great so far. The 2 resource demanding updates, Android 12 & 13, used only about 4% battery. I think the 2hr movie only used 8% battery at a very dim setting. I haven't played any games yet, so I can't report on that. I highly recommend this Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite if this particular size is what you're shopping for. I cannot foresee having any problems with this very affordable tablet, moreover I can't see why I would want to spend more money on anything else of equivalent size. I'm sure basic games would be fine too, because it's rather surprising that many Android games will play on my 2016 Galaxy S7 phone...

I love this tablet. I've had two tablets a 7" Fire and a 10" Chromebook and this is by far the BEST! Just the perfect size for what I use it for. Fast, reliable, and so easy to set up because I have a Samsung phone and everything just transferred with just a click. Highly recommend.

For anyone who might be on the fence about buying this versus a more expensive device, I'm hoping my review can help, because I had this same dilemma. I wanted something that had little to no lag when opening apps, especially the simple ones like browsers and email. I'm happy to report that this tablet has satisfied me in that regard. It's not as fast on some of the more intensive apps, like opening the Ookla Speedtest app, which even has some delay/lag when opening on my Galaxy Note 9, but as expected it takes about a full second longer on this tablet. Not a big deal though, because the browser is only very slightly slower than on my Note 9 (we're talking milliseconds slower, that's all). I'm guessing it's the Octocore CPU that helps out in this regard, because i also own the previous Tab A 2019 model. It only has a quad core CPU and there is a bit of delay even opening simple apps. Some might think it's the extra RAM, but EXTRA RAM only helps with more apps being open at the same time. Now if the RAM is FASTER in this model, then yes, that would help with the apps opening faster, but I'm not sure if this RAM is any faster than the 2019 model. I also snagged this tablet when it was on sale for $130. I feel that price is AMAZING for this tablet's capabilities. The regular price is $200. Considering you can get the Galaxy Tab S6 on sale sometimes for $250, I'd say go with the S6 instead, if you don't mind having a larger, 10 inch screen. To me, I wanted something compact, so I simply waited for this one to go on sale. Now i will mention the only potential drawback of this device, and that is Android 12. If/when this device receives the update for Android 12, it will most likely make this device run a bit slower. It's happened to every single tablet I've ever owned. The new OS always demands more, slowing down these budget tablets to a noticeable degree. Happened to two of my Asus Zen tablets, happened to my 2017 Tab A, happened to my 2019 Tab A. It will happen again with this one, but I'm crossing my fingers that maybe the step-up to 8 cores will maybe absorb some of the extra load the new OS will put on. But to be reasonable, even though it has 8 cores, it's still a budget processor, not expecting miracles or anything. I still think this is an amazing value.

I purchased this as a replacement for my Tab T377 which was getting too old to upgrade software and a bit slow for the gaming, streaming and web browsing I am using tablets for. I have 300MB Internet service and am using WiFi (802.11AC) at home, my phone as a hotspot with %G or 4G LTE on the road, or public Internet. This device was an upgrade, it's fast, lite and just the right size to take on trips both local and long distance. It's just the right size to hold and not too heavy even with an add-on impact resistant case. It's fast with a bright screen, if I'm using it outdoors I turn the brightness up and it works fine for me even in bright sunshine. The battery lasts all day even with constant use including gaming and streaming, a plus for long trips on planes and such. I'm happy with this purchase and would purchase it again if I needed to replace it.

So glad I finally found a small sized tablet with more storage (64gb vs 32gb) & RAM (4GB vs 2GB) than my old Galaxy tablet. More room/speed for games & downloaded books. It just definately needs a case, it is soooo slippery!

Got this for my 5 year old. Works like lightning compared to the Kindle fire. Batter lasts a couple of days. And after a year its still working great. Very easy to switch between kids and adult mode also. Takes less then 10 seconds to switch. I will say it takes a few minutes to turn on after it dies but so do most things. Overall worth it.

Been using the Samsung A8 for a few years and now I needed to upgrade to the new A7 Lite 8.7 65gb version to keep up with Android. This new tablet is lighter and faster than the old one and went from 16gb to 64gb which is a lot of breathing room compared to the old one. So far has worked out great for me and my wife, we each have our own. Great tablet!

I got 2 of these for my kids for Christmas 21'. I had done a lot of research on new tablets because the Amazon fire tablets weren't cutting it anymore. We needed something with storage a good battery and a modest size screen for kids. These ticked all the boxes and I actually caught them on sale better than what samsung was offering with trade in.

I originally bought this on sale as a replacement for my wife's Gen 1 iPad Mini. It was the only non-Apple tablet with a form factor similar to the iPad Mini worth considering. I ended up with it when she decided that she preferred the form factor of the new iPad Mini. Of course that one cost $499 as opposed to $159 for the Galaxy Tab! The Tab is great as a content consumption device....watching movies, YouTube TV, etc. It also is a great e-reader. It falls a bit short in surfing the web due to its screen resolution. The screen is not bad, just not 1080p or higher. It gets a bit tiring after awhile. Using it to check email is fine and the keyboard is also good. I wish the tablet would go to sleep when the cover is flipped closed but it does not support that function. So, make sure you keep it plugged in when not in use or you will find the battery is dead. You may think that I have a lot of gripes about the tablet but you'd be wrong. When you factor in the cost of the device, it is a real bargain. It is very well constructed, close to iPad quality, has a fairly narrow bezel surrounding the screen, has adequate memory and storage space....all for less than $200, on sale.
