Purchased February 2018, with my teenage daughter's help & Best Buy Associate's patient assistance. I'm pretty slow with new things. I'd been thinking about a laptop for several years, but just wasn't ready to save up that much for something that seems to get upgraded so quickly. My youngest daughter has used her Kindle Fire for ages, and seems pretty content with it. So at first that's what I thought I'd get. When I got to Best Buy, I wandered through the laptops & tablets. I did look through the Kindle tablets, but didn't like how they felt in my hands. I saw the Samsung tablets and found myself parked in front of them the longest. When an associate asked if I needed assistance I grilled him with question after question (he was a SAINT I tell you!), and it seemed that for my needs (photos, listen to music, email, social media, read magazines or ebooks, go the Internet [when free WIFI is available], watch Netflix, write/edit/share documents, scan ads for deals/coupons, etc. - the Samsung tablets could handle everything. I finally settled on this model Galaxy Tab E Lite 7" 8GB Black. I asked the associate if I needed a keyboard and he suggested before buying one, to try using the tablet for a while first, and then if I still needed one I could come back (several keyboard options are in stock). I'm glad I yielded to his suggestion, because sure enough I don't need one. I asked about cases and he showed me what was available. I didn't like them so figured I'd come back for a case when I came back for a keyboard. When I left the store I cringed and hemmed and hawed and thought why on earth did I just spend $100 on this teeny little piece of technology? I felt deep regret. But my daughter suggested I try it, because I might like it. She was right. Oh, my, word, how did I ever get by without it? It does everything I need and much more. It seems like every month or two I learn something new on my tablet. It's just the right size to be VERY PORTABLE. And VERY USER FRIENDLY. When some of our goats were kidding, I was able to take photos and videos and upload them immediately, which is very handy for selling livestock. When my daughter's Church Music Academy Hands of Grace (sign language expressions) group had a performance, I was able to record it and upload it to youtube right away. When I'm shopping at some stores (Publix, WalMart), I can consult their app and find the items I'm looking for in their store, or get coupons (Hobby Lobby). My daughters have got me hooked on Spotify, which is a great help to me when I do my lap-walking. When I was travelling last summer, I was able to look up directions and email family to keep them updated as to progress (remember, as long as there's a free WIFI signal around). When I know I'm going to have some reading time, I can go on to the library website and download some e-magazines or books. Or go to Netflix and download something to watch. Up to now (almost a year later) I have not needed to expand my memory, but since I've added so many apps I'm getting a microSD card just in case. I ended up crocheting a case for my tablet - kind of like a pocket when I'm wearing something without a pocket. Easy peasy. The only accessories I absolutely HAD to buy were earbuds, which I seem to replace every few months or so. If I find a pair that lasts longer that would be great. Also my charger cord will need replacing soon. But the tablet itself is doing GREAT and so far my favorite Best Buy purchase.

Great Tablet, Battery Life A Bit Short

I've had this tablet for a couple of months now, and I use it literally every day. I'm very pleased with its performance. I use it on a wi-fi network exclusively, and it loads quickly, renders graphics and images beautifully and has become a mainstay in my collection of "gadgets." My only criticism is the life of the battery. I am careful to charge all my devices almost nightly. This tablet will be 100% chargted in the morning, and since I'm retired, I generally take it on my front porch and read my newspaper and check the drama on FaceBook each day. By the time I'm finished with these little tasks, say maybe a couple of hours of light duty use, the battery will be down to 70 to 75 percent. That's not a show stopper, I agree, but if I were using my smartphone for those same tasks, I'd still have about 90% power remaining. For general, everyday use, this tablet is a bargain, works as advertised and has been very dependable. It doesn't crash and I've been impressed with its response times in loading web pages. All in all, I recommend it if you don't need to have it in constant use for several hours straight. It's no big deal for me to partially recharge it during the day, as I still have my phone and laptop to lean on. But, if this were my primary device for all day, I think I'd have some reservations. I do recommend it. Like I said, it's sturdy, dependable, fast and reliable. The battery issues are relatively minor for me, but I bring them up in case you're looking for a device for hours and hours of constant use. Be talkin' to you.....Webrydr

I had high hopes for this gadget. Bought 2, one for a gift and one for me. Returned both after trying mine for 3 days. Unboxed, logged on, fiddled with installed apps (unable to delete any), opened google play and installed Solitaire game. The system crashed when I tried to open Solitaire! Had to reset tablet, waited a day and tried again same issue. Was deeply disappointed that Tab E Lite could NOT successfully handle a basic google play APP, Solitaire is not a complex or large app, Had hoped to use Tab E with my smart tv’s to easily n effortlessly shoot images, etc. from android tablet to any hdTVs, since all my Apple devices require APPLE.TV (149bucks) to shoot from ipad/iphone to hdtv. However, my first Samsung/android products experience was NOT GOOD. My new Tab E lite proved woefully inadequate and glitchy. I returned. Fortunately, no issues returning items to Best Buy. I appreciate good customer service and hassle-free returns, so I gave extra star instead of 1 star for bad product!! At store, I presented my RECEIPT, the products, and the cashier quickly processed my return. The cashier did not demand my drivers license or a passport (like BBUY used to require in the past for all returns- which was total nonsense!), glad BEst Buy no longer treats receipt-carrying customers like criminals. Thanks!

I'm so confused as to why this product has so many positive reviews. I've never given any product 1 star in my life...I just had to warn anyone who is thinking about buying this item....Terrible. It feels like I'm navigating on a 1997 Windows computer. Some of the most possible apps aren't compatible with this tablet's outdated software update. Please don't waste your time. The internet is extremely slow. The system freezes every few minutes and I just got it yesterday. The video quality makes every video look like it's been filmed with a potato ... and the sound sounds like you're under water. Luckily I got it on sale but I'm exchanging it in tomorrow for something else. I could see how this could be good for young children...but besides that I'm not really sure who else could benefit.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite(SM-T113) is a 7”, budget, Android tablet. Even on sale for $79.99, this tablet is overpriced. It’s VERY slow for a recently released tablet (2/2016), the colors are washed out, graphics are far from crisp, and the touchscreen sometimes does not respond. What’s worse - it is running Android 4.4.4 and there are no indications Samsung will ever update it. More and more apps are already sunsetting support for older versions of Android, so this has a limited lifespan. The build is...well...kludgy. It’s kind of blocky, not at all the usually comfortable fit in the hand. It’s cheaply made as well. This is definitely a “get what you pay for” scenario. At best, this might be ok for younger children with very little demand. Older kids, teens, and adults...this tablet is sub-standard and will not satisfy your needs.

This tablet is by far the best quality tablet I have ever owned. My kids are not gentle with their tablets and have always gone through them like no other but the second I held it I could tell it was made better than previous ones. My kids play games and watch YouTube constantly without glitches or lagging. The battery dies a little faster than I would like but when they are constantly on them I understand why they die. The storage is smaller but you can put a memory card in it to help with that. I will not buy anything but samsung anymore! I would 100% recommend this tablet to anyone with children or anyone that's just trying to search, shop, or stream videos. Plus the geek squad protection is the best protection you can get anywhere and covers nearly everything! So happy with my purchase! And I know you will not be disappointed either!

We bought these for the kids for Christmas ages 9 to 4 and they love them, they have been non stop on these things since they opened them, if your looking for a tablet to take a chance on for the kids but you want a quality tablet without the $$ this Samsung galaxy tab e lite 7" is the way to go, good quality product from and very dependable company at a good price, we bought screen protectors and cases for them and they've done great, no damage so far and I know it hasn't been 2 weeks but trust me we've bought tablets in the past that didn't make the weekend, I will be buying one soon for my 3 year old that is just at good on it as her brothers and sisters, you won't be disappointed.

We had to return the first one because it stopped working after less than one day of use. The second one is also no longer working. It was in a bumper case with a hard glass cover. My son dropped it from a sitting position on the couch onto the couch, so only a few inches onto a soft surface, and it's done. The screen went "wobbly" is the best way to describe it. Overall I like Samsung. Our phones, my tablet and my other son's tablet are all Samsung and they have been reliable, but this time around it's been a little disappointing. I bought a 3rd one from another company and got the accident protection. However, I don't think a tablet should stop working from such a small drop. His brother's tablet that he has had for years, was dropped a number of times and kept working.

Bought one of these for my son last week. I have other Samsung devices and appliances and must say they're all excellent. Seeing as this is a current model I didn't expect there to be any issues with apps not running on it. Well I was wrong. Why would they still be using Android 4.4.4 on a current model? Long story short, the games my son can't get on his older Kindle will also not work on this because it's not on Android 5.0 or newer. A simple game like Bloons TD 6 cannot be installed on this along with a handful of others he really wanted to play. Nice product otherwise, but that really stinks. I'm going to keep it for myself and get him something else with the latest Android version I can find.

I always liked Samsung... I'm not real tech savy, but over the years Ive bought several Samsung products. The tablet is my latest. So far I have no problem with it. Only downfall is the camera.. it doesn't have a reverse camera.. another words you cant take selfies. Other than that, so far I'm satisfied with the tablet.. Oh yea... it doesnt have Image cropping, or anything of that sort.. you have to download it. But Samsung wants to know all your contacts, phone history and everything else just to download the app.. say what ? I just email the pics to myself and crop and fix them on my computer or phone. Other than that, I think Samsung is a good tablet.

So I'll preface this with, if you're looking for a tablet to simply read some things or use for Facebook or Twitter, the tablet is better than a 2 star rating. But if you're looking to use it for more, like have more than 5 apps installed, video watching or pictures taken, its pretty useless. After just 3 days of use, my tablet which only had 6 new apps installed, could barely run a single video or load in a timely fashion. On occasion even restarting itself every 2 or 3 min because it couldn't handle the processing. I looked online and it seems to be a universal problem with this tablet itself with lots of people running into the problem. So it wasn't just mine that was faulty. I returned the tablet and won't be looking back.

Bought this to replace my older Google Nexus 7 Tablet which had become very unstable. I tried going the frugal route at first, with a Kindle Fire but couldn't live without access to Chrome/Firefox (or some other reasonable browser). Returned the Fire and bought this. Definitely a step above, but didn't run as smoothly as you'd expect from a new tablet. Lived with it for a day or two, but realized it wasn't what I wanted. Bought an IPad mini and am very happy with my decision. Bottom Line: If budget is your primary concern, this would be a great option. Or if you need more memory, as this tablet will accept a memory card for additional storage. But if you're willing to spend the extra cash, I think the IPad provides a significantly better user experience.

My 5 year old Autistic Grandson got us started on Samsung tablets because he had outgrown some of the other tablets that he has. This tablet has a smaller screen that some of his other tablets but is working well as a monitor for our security system. I bring up my Grandsons tablets because we have not had any problems with the Samsungs he has. He has 5 Samsung tablets ranging in size from the 7 inch with parental controls to the Galaxy View which is a 20 inch(?) tablet. They all work. What else can I say. As a family we like the Samsung family of tablets and phones. Hopefully they will work for you.

Exchanged for Samsung Galaxy Tab A

I originally purchased the Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite to replace my son's twice broken iPad Mini 2, but returned it to Best Buy the following day to exchange it for Galaxy Tab A. The Tab E Lite includes kid friendly apps that he would've likely never used (he's 8 years old) and though these apps are probably fantastic they take up memory that is already limited on the tablet. The Tab A runs on Android Lollipop as opposed to the Tab E Lite that runs on Android KitKat and the memory on the Tab A can be expanded more than the Tab E Lite by supporting a larger microSD card. The Tab A was only $20 more than the Tab E Lite and was the better value in our situation.

I bought this to replace an older tablet. I saw this one on sale and purchased it at my local BB. The Good: Faster Processor, better screen and more memory. The Bad: only one speaker on the back, too much bloatware. I turned off all of the useless Google apps, NFL apps, the word processing apps and a few more. Turning off the apps stopped the non-stop downloads that slowed the tablet to a crawl for the first five minutes. After all that the tablet works much better. I mostly use my tablet for music streaming, a few games and the occasional search.

I purchased an open item from Best Buy which stated that the device was in excellent condition. I would actually rate this device as fair since it came with a dent on the top right hand corner causing it to have a hairline crack and the bottom left corner has a scratch about an inch long. I thought about returning the item but it's too much of a hassle to go through.

I needed to replace a small Android tablet that was being used as a Digital Readout for my mini-mill. The tablet that came with the mill was horrible, took forever to start up, wouldn't connect to the mill via bluetooth without quite a bit of fussing, got hot when using it, and a myriad of other issues. So after reviewing what was available I settled on the obvious choice - get a Samsung! This little tablet is perfect, runs cool, has a very decent battery life, reasonable charging time, both WiFi and Bluetooth work flawlessly, quick bootup. It does everything I need it to in my shop. Would definitely buy one of these again!

When I purchased this tablet six weeks ago, I figured I would use it only once in a while. I'm using it almost every day. I took it on my recent two-week road trip and it filled the bill, serving as my computer. I also use it to quickly check sports scores. It also serves as a radio, as I listen to Pandora. Initially, I had my mind set on purchasing a more-expensive model, but I saw the price for the Galaxy Tab E Lite 7 and decided this would be more like. As I noted earlier, I didn't plan on using it much. But I immediately noticed that it was a great product, and I am happy to have it.

We purchased the Samsung - Galaxy Tab E Lite 7" 8GB - Black for our 3 year old son to replace an aging iPad mini. I chose the Galaxy Tab because I have a Galaxy Tab A6 of my own, and I like it's compact design. We purchased the Galaxy Tab E just in time for a 1,800 mile road trip throughout the American Southwest. I downloaded several movies, cartoons and TV shows for my son to watch on the road, and he loved it! The Galaxy Tab E Lite performed flawlessly, and my son is learning out to operate it himself. Great tablet at a great price!

If you just want a tablet for browsing the internet and apps and maybe music or some video files, then this will be the tablet for you.Got it on sale for 59.99 which was great. You can get a good amount out of this tablet my only complaint is that you can only expand this up to 32, 64 would have been nice or 128 would have been just as good too. a firm update would be nice if it fixed this then i'd be able to give it a higher score.
