Wife picked this up because she wanted a new tablet. She returned it a week later. She didn't say why.

I was looking for something to replace my Samsung Note 2014 Edition. The Samsung rep in the store suggested this. After about a week of giving it a shot I returned it. The inability to expand the memory was a big factor. I was also not impressed with the touch screen or the audio it produces.

Sometimes won't start, black screen, poor volume with head set. Samsung says no fix for those hearing impaired. Had to buy an amplifier to get any sound out to watch videos on the plane. Have no clue to get 10hrs out of the battery, mine only gets 4hr max.

    Good Surface Pro alternative

I actually sold my Surface Pro 4 for this, the downsides being that I loose backlit keys and full sized USB. But for me that's okay. I prefer using this for the size and I enjoy this keyboard much more. I don't like that I'm locked into having two angles but I still take that over having they kickstand. I can actually use this in my lap and the keyboard also functions as a case which is good. I use a Pixel XL so having my Laptop and phone use the same charging standard is a huge plus. Overall, I like this a bit more than the SP4. But it's a close battle for sure. Also the Tabpro S seems to get a bit better battery life.

I had to return this item twice!! I bought it first on 3-6-17, I had it roughly 12-13 days and the system shut down and wouldn't come back. I returned for a replacement on 3-17, got it home, going thru setting it up ... it locked me out a 2nd time!! I called samsung directly and they were unable to help ... advised to take back to Best Buy to send in for service. Don't buy this product.

This product was great but apparently does not last. Geek squad was familiar with product dying. Best Buy did not handle well, did not replace product. If I wanted to replace they would issue gift card and reorder which meant if product was defective again I couldn't get money back. I took the cash refund with intent of reordering online but product with up almost $200. Will not buy from Best Buy again.

    I'm in love!

This 2-in-1 is absolutely perfect, at least for me. I really don't have any serious complaints so far. I have been using it for a few days now and everything is working great! I read that the keyboard was awkward, but I do not find this to be true. It only took me a short time to get used to typing on it. It it small, which is why I could understand people saying it was awkward, but just give it a try. I promise you will adjust. I do admit that it's a little annoying not to have any ports but the charging port to connect other things, but this can easily be remedied with add on cords and connectors. I mainly use this 2-in-1 for surfing the web and other simple tasks, so I'm no one to give it a super thorough test drive with things such as games and the like. So I will say that I have found it perfect for just doing basic stuff. I wish it could be propped up in more than just two positions, but I have found that both positions are suitable for sitting and laying down. I mostly use it while sitting on my bed with a little lap table under it in my lap, and the main position is just right for viewing and typing. So far the battery has been pretty decent. I have no complaints about it at all. In fact I have been using it for about an hour and a half now and the battery has only gone down about 25%. The screen is absolutely beautiful. The colors and images are clear and bright. But I've come to expect this from Samsung, being the Samsung fan that I am. I love the portability of this device. It closes up with the keyboard super thin and the magnets keep it closed tight. You can just close it and pick it up and go right on about your way easily. Overall, I love this thing! I will be keeping it for a long time to come!

The short version: sticky keyboard, constant "circling" in windows, slow uptick. Lots of problems - so much so that when I returned it the customer service rep said "ANOTHER one of these computers coming back today." Typically Samsung is a great product, but this may have been a lemon batch. Sorry.

A Swifty, Blinged Out Work of Art

    Posted .

In the past 10 years, I have been through many laptops, tablet pcs and standalone tablets. It’s kind of a hobby of mine. Some I really loved the function but hated the looks and others looked great but were a hassle to use. This one falls right smack in the middle of the pack. It looks great if you don’t mind “Blinged Out” devices (people will look and say…must be a Baller lol). The 8 gigs of rams allow the tab to get “Swifty” on basic tasks and the screen is breath taking. I used the tab for about a week without the keyboard case (using a case I bought from Amazon that offers more protection yet works without keyboard) and it served me well for 80% of what I needed to do. This has been my go to device for most everything in the past month. Last week I picked up the Galaxy s8+ so I started using Samsung Flow to securely sign into Windows 10 using the fingerprint sensor. It was a little awkward at first but it has become much easier with practice. I noticed today that I started receiving notifications from my phone such as emails and texts. I really love device convergence when it works well. I have not run into any operational issues related to the tablet and all said so far, I am pleased.

Salesman said it included a stylus pen but it didn't. Had to purchase it separately. Couldn't get it to sync so geek squad guy recommended returning the tablet.
