It makes zero sense to sell this item if you cannot buy the stylus at best buy. The stylus is very specific, not interchangeable with ither Samsung stylus.

    better than Surface

I was so happy to see this device as it has twice the storage and twice the memory than the first version so I thought I would give it a try. I really like that it doesn't have a fan to make extra noise. I was expecting to be able to replace my laptop and my tablet with it. I use my laptop as a desktop computer which it is under-powered compared to my laptop. It is a nice size and nearly identical in size to my old Samsung Note Pro. That size feels almost twice as big as my Samsung Tab S2 so it feels too big compared to the very slip Android tablet. The stylus not coming with it along with the poor tablet mode functionality made me miss my Note Pro even more. This is a great laptop replacement, but the mobile processor limits it from being a top notch performer even though it has the RAM of a top performer.

Samsung - Galaxy TabPro: Poor Keyboard Quality

I bought a Samsung Galaxy TabPro on May 4, 2017 and the keyboard stopped working with four months of use. I am in Brazil and Samsung here said the warranty does not cover, simply regrettable.

Read before purchasing! Sometimes stops working.

Let me first state that this is by far the best deal I've seen on a very high quality product that feels and functions better than any 2-1 tablet that meets, and sometimes exceeds, this product's specs. I think it blows the Surface Pro 4 (Intel- m3 version) out of the water. When it works. There are tons of reviews on the earlier model which I encourage you to read - my only additions to those reviews is that the extra bump in RAM for the gold edition is a major difference and alleviates some or most of the performance complaints of the 4GB version. The SSD drive on the gold version is also of a much, much higher/faster quality that of the black/white TabPro S. There has been a few knocks on the keyboard and yes, the Surface Pro 4 keyboard is better, but this keyboard would have been considered best in class a few years ago - if the Surface Pro 4 keyboard is a BMW, this keyboard is a Ford. It'll still get you where you want to go in relative comfort, and while you'll occasionally wish for a better keyboard, you won't need a better keyboard. You can still type out a full novel on this thing if you wish. Now the real negatives you don't read in the reviews can be killer though - before I get into them, I like this product so much and the value is soo amazing, I'm willing to deal with them, hence the three stars instead of one. I do feel like I'm taking a risk with this product though, as I've only had so much time to figure this out before my return window expires. This computer could still be a lemon, which is what I thought before I figured a few things out: The USB-C port isn't really a USB-C port: This is what I *think* is the root of all the issues below. Yes it has a USB-C port and yes you can 'connect' any USB-C peripheral to it; but it'll probably screw up the machine in weird and major ways though. From my testing, it seems that any USB charger or peripheral with USB-C charging pass-through (essential for a lot of dongles) wigs the system out in weird ways. I'm pretty sure it's the root of the bluetooth [and therefore pen] problem explained below. Sometimes, it'll shut down the computer with no way to turn it back on without some crazy tricks. This can happen even after you stopped using the dongle! It's ridiculous. Only the included Samsung charger and only the 80 dollar multiport adapter theoretically avoids this issue (I'm waiting on the multiport adapter to test). That multiport adapter won't work on other devices with charge through either so it's basically a proprietary device. Sometimes I've had the whole system be unresponsive for over a day, only to find that if I jump start it by re-inserting the non-Tabpro-S dongle into the system for a few hours it jumps it back to turning on. I haven't noticed any issues with connecting USB-C dongles that don't have charging passthrough but I have done very little testing on the matter. Bluetooth doesn't really work: See 'Pen issues' below as the pen works via bluetooth. Bluetooth is kind of bust on this machine, or super duper wonkey at least. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the USB-C current the tablet receives when it isn't the two approved Samsung chargers, as crazy as it sounds. Bluetooth works, just not consistently; it'll stop seeing the pen (and a few other devices) for a certain period of time and no amount of installing or uninstalling stuff will bring it back. I used the pen happily for 3 days, it stopped mid-stroke, and I couldn't pair it back until I figured out how to get the system back up after the USB-C charging debacle. Now that's it's up and I've stopped using non-Samsung USB things, bluetooth is again reliable. Not sure for how long though. Pen: If you're an artist, you'll probably want to look elsewhere. For everyone else, when it's working it checks all the necessary boxes so... it's great... When it's working. The bluetooth issues above kill it, however - I'll update this review if I keep the machine and find a routine that makes sure the pen doesn't disappear for a few days. Even if you don't rely on bluetooth, like I mentioned above, the computer can just not boot up... I hope the Samsung USB dongle solves this issue, it sounds like it might, but all of this stuff is super problematic as there is no effective support. Since these issues are intermittent, there are multiple reports of people being asked to send it in for repair (I was told this twice by some [very good] techs during my troubleshooting), only to have the repair shop say 'looks fine to us', as the computer discharged and subsequently reset in the 7 to 12 days it takes for a repair shop to get it. ...so you'll get the same computer back that will break again if you haven't figured it out. You may be asking 'why don't you just return the stupid thing'? If the machine is stable with the right accessories, this is the best piece of equipment you can buy as far as value hands down. If I keep it and get it stable, I'll update this review and bump it a star.

Love this "tablet" with key board

I love this little computer. It has a great screen, nice and clear and bright The keyboard is almost full size and typing is ok, not quite as good as a contour keyboard on my desk top computer. It works as well as any computer, except that there isn't a usb port or sd card spot, but you buy an adapter for other inputs. If you use OneDrive or Drop Box or some other cloud service, you can have your files available to all your devices It is a bit hard to use it on my lap, so I put it on a plastic cutting board as a lap desk, then it is fine on my lap. It is a Win 10 device, so it is compatible with my Win 10 phone and desk top computer. It is plenty fast and has a lot of built in memory.

Mostly a good experience but with compromises

After using the Samsung TabPro S for about a week its been a very mixed bag of features. The device is very fragile and the back, sides and keyboard while beautiful are very fragile and scratch too easily. The Amoled screen is great as other reviews state and Windows 10 runs well in a crazy thin device which is nice. Some text is not totally sharp and causes a bleed on white backgrounds that was somewhat annoying while reading. There is no HDMI video port as stated in the description. A USB C adapter is required for anything I wanted to connect. The sounds quality is quite good, but mine did have the bluetooth connection issues others have stated. I think compared to the Surface, it falls short because of the fragile handling required to keep it from getting damaged. Also the battery life is only about 3-4 hours not that great and about the same as I get on my Surface pro 4. I wanted a device that is lighter and thinner than the Surface and yes the Samsung is but its has too many compromises to keep it. Its also worth noting, the keyboard is not backlit for some reason a big negative. Also the odd tablet mode in Windows 10 is basically useless. Works great if you need a simple tablet like windows device but don't expect too much from it.

I just got it so I'm not sure how it will perform. I'll try to update this after I've put it through the paces. However, you might get the idea from the features list that there is an hdmi port. There is not. You will need to buy the multi port adapter to make that magic happen. Also, the vinyl folio that is attached to the keyboard is perhaps the ugliest, cheapest piece of garbage I've ever seen. Very disappointing. I got this thing for a decent price, but if I had to pay full price, I'd look elsewhere.

This was my second unit. My first was returned because I had concerns about the battery charging. I have had this one for three months without issues. The display is excellent. Samsung seems to have gone to great lengths to maximize the usable life of the battery and display. The screen saver is an evidence of this, and you cannot turn it off. The nineties called and they want their screen saver back. All things considered, The processor and memory are more than enough for simple office applications, and browsing. If this is your use case, and you can still find one, its a good deal.

Great 2 and 1 device. Like the extra memory as well as the upgraded processor. Keyboard took a little getting used to, but easily adapted to it. Device is very versatile and like it much better than the bulky laptop. Very pleased so far with the purchase!

This tablet computer was awesome--until I had it about 2 months. Then it died and could not be revived. I sent it back to Samsung for warranty repair (which was a complete nightmare). Finally after weeks and weeks of writing and calling and talking to different reps in different locations who had no clue what was going on, I talked to someone in the repair center who said a) product failure on this model was so common they were swamped with warranty returns, and b) they had only one guy who could repair them because they were so fragile and finicky, and he was way behind. But she couldn't actually help me, or put me in touch with anyone who could. The different reps kept telling me someone tried to reach me to authorize an exchange and couldn't (even though they had 2 valid phone numbers and a valid email address for me). That they hadn't received the receipt I sent them. (Even though I called in and the rep I talked to saw it noted in the system). Round and round and nobody doing anything. Wrote to the president's office and heard nothing. Called in again to CS and the rep said yes, this has been escalated through the president's office, but they tried to reach me and couldn't. (Seriously? Friends and family and business associates and telemarketers and Nigerian princes seem to locate me just fine.) FINALLY after six weeks of this someone from Samsung called me, and it turns out they couldn't repair it and couldn't exchange it because they have no more. Offered me a choice between the earlier model with only 128gigs of storage, and a refund. Needless to say, I took the refund (which I have yet to see--it STILL takes 2 weeks to approve and then they have to process the check). If you buy this, you might get lucky and have one with no problems, but if it does die you're in for a huge hassle, and you'll have to buy something different anyway. Save yourself the trouble.

I did so much research on this and fell in love with it when I started using it. The picture quality is amazing and it was super fast. After the first month it became difficult to turn on. Would push the on button and nothing would happen. The I found myself holding down the button for several seconds and then it would finally start. After the second month this became even more difficult. The last time I got it to start the screen would not stop blinking. Geek Squad determined it unrepairable. Do Not Buy!

It was either this or the surface book pro 4. And I pick this because it was a better deal for me. I have a Samsung phone so they communicate easily. Does everything I asked it to do and then some. I'm going to school full time and use it for some entertainment as well. I love it and would recommend it to anyone.

I thought this tablet was great but as soon as the one-year warranty was up, the tablet died completely. No power, no charge. Tried multiple cords and outlets and nothing worked. Couldn't even reset the tablet. Turns out the power supply was faulty, the screen had to be replaced and the main hard drive was fried and had to be replaced. Do not waste the money l.

The first one a bought wouldn't power up right out of the box. I got another one and now a year later I've already had to replace the keyboard and now the screen has a tendency to flicker a blinding white and then go dead. Not exactly the dream set up for grad school. If you do get one make sure you get the warranty- you'll need it.

The first tablet I got suddenly stopped booting up about 2 weeks after I got it (I have read similar things happening in other reviews). Returned it, ordered another. 2nd time I used it, I got a system Bios error and wouldn't boot. Returned it. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Not getting fooled again - that's a return and give me my money back, thank you. Totally unreliable piece of junk.
