Great all around, few exerices say treamill and running have different calorie differences. The main issue is the constant restarting on its own. 5+ times a day

    • Brand response from Samsung
      Posted .

It's great to hear from you, JaJa. Your feedback is essential as we continue to make improvements to our devices. We see that you reached out regarding the Galaxy Watch5. The Galaxy Watch5 provides valuable insights to help you optimize your health, including body composition information right on your wrist. You'll have access to metrics such as body fat percentage and your Body Mass Index (BMI). Whether you’re running, swimming, or rowing, you can maximize every outdoor adventure with the Auto Workout Tracking feature. We hate to see that you've experienced constant restarting on your watch. Products sold by Samsung are warranted against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for the limited 12-month warranty period specified for each product. We also provide the option to add additional coverage with Samsung Care+ on eligible devices, which offers extended protection and additional support. If your watch unexpectedly shuts off, the most likely cause is a low battery, but other factors could include using an incorrect charger, having outdated software, or relying on corrupted third-party apps. The first thing we recommend is to reboot your watch. On your smartwatch, press and hold the Power key until "Rebooting..." appears on the screen. If you need to force a reboot, press and hold both the Home key (Power key) and the Back key simultaneously until the "Rebooting..." message displays, avoiding the "Power off" or "Restart" options. The time required to hold the buttons may vary by model; on some watches, it might take up to 30 seconds for "Rebooting..." to show. Once "Rebooting..." appears, release the keys, and the watch screen will darken before rebooting. If your watch is connected to your phone, the devices will temporarily disconnect during this process. After rebooting, be sure to check for software updates on your watch and in the Galaxy Wearable app, including any necessary device plugins. If this persists after troubleshooting, please be sure to reach out to us at Support so that we can further assist you. -Kelvin Samsung

No Galaxy Phone? You may want to skip this watch!

Some of the main reasons I purchased a Galaxy Watch where for the sweet of health features, most notability the ECG feature. Come to find out after getting the watch home and setup, if you do not have a Galaxy phone, some of the health features (and other features) will not work on your watch. I currently have a Google Pixel 4a 5G and the fact that Samsung forces you to buy their phones to use features widely publicized for their watches is borderline criminal. Samsung should at least make this information easily accessible on their device's website instead of forcing you to dig into support forums to find out the features are locked out for non Galaxy phone users. I frankly feel cheated and duped by Samsung's marketing.

Not worth it at any price

I got the unit price matched and even then it is still not worth it. Battery anxiety is key for me. I wear a Garmin Vivoactive 4 that has an always on screen and it may not be supposedly as brilliant as the colors and display of this thing, but it is always on and will still easily last almost an entire week. The accuracy of the Pro is simply not there when it comes to exercising, nowhere near that of the Garmin. When notifications comes through, they automatically show on the Garmin, whereas on the Pro it takes a brief second before you see them on the screen. And the whole idea of having to flip my wrist all day is just something I am not used to. I take a quick glance at my Garmin and I see everything without having to flip the wrist. The Garmin just works. I may not be able to speak to it like with the Pro, but if you use the Pro at full blown status you will be charging it at least 3 whole times in one week, whereas my Garmin is technically once a week. And again, the accuracy of my Garmin is far superior to that of the Pro when it comes to workouts. The Pro STILL does not show you true calories burned in real time to this day. Way too expensive for what it does, but mostly what it lacks. It's a nice toy for those that love a color screen, but place zero emphasis on accuracy.

Product is good but it was in such a crappy cardboard box packaging and bubble wraps. Original watch band was swapped with some other band which is very tight. When I asked the store agent, he said if you don't liked it return it. Will not buy open box again.

    Beware the Band

    Posted .

My watch arrived last week and I like the look and the ability to change watch faces. There are so many apps I did not even get to use. The band constantly got slack. Three days later I finally wore it outdoors and while walking my dog, the watch came off. I didn't feel it since I was wearing layers and a winter coat. All my devices are covered by Best Buy Total Care, so I had not taken out loss protection. In a matter of minutes, this wonderful device, all $449.99 worth, was lost and is not covered for loss. Blame the band.

This is my 5th Samsung watch. I upgraded from The Galaxy Watch. Really like the fit and form. Even the included band is awesome. The only small gripe I have is the body composition feature is wonky. It took me days to get a reading.

Watch is a Piece of Crap for Measuring Exercise.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Bought this watch 6 mos. ago to track heart rate during exercise and this is a $500 piece of crap! I've upgraded the watch software; rebooted the watch; upgraded the phone software; rebooted the phone; put the watch on "Measure Continuously" and it constantly gets stuck on certain heart rates during exercise. It does not measure constantly. The only way to get a good heart rate is to put it on "Measure Manually" which requires that you stand completely still. Buy something else! Doing anything else requires you to buy additional applications and watch faces.

Replaces a Garmin. Better display and SO2 and ECG. The only downside is that you must have Galaxy phone to get these features to run. Nice choice of watch faces.

    Worst stupid-watch

The worst, slowest, least practical Smartwatch in the market! It gives the wrong time due to the lack of a necessary software update that the company is aware of. It has several connectivity issues and has acreally slow processor. What's more? Battery life requires carrying a charger on you all the time! Don't buy it!

Before you buy any Galaxy watch, read Galaxy Watch Update “Bricking” Smartwatches. They run an update that will prevent your watch from charging rendering your watch worthless. Have fun trying to get it fixed, but hay if you want to buy a brand new one...................
