Great watch design, actually looks like a watch. The bezel turns which is great and easier than scrolling for me. The biggest issue that I have with the smartwatch is the lack of apps and no GPS. I wanted to use the watch for 2 main reasons, golf and fitness. For Golf, you have two app options, but you must pay for to use the watch. Fitness, has some decent apps, but if you want to go for a jog you have to have your phone to track distance. This is annoying if your not use to running with the oversized phones. I do enjoy getting the text on my watch, I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but to glance down and see an email or text is pretty cool and no more digging out your phone to see who it was.

Pros: Constant heart rate monitoring during exercise. Easy to navigate between screens and apps with the dial feature. When linked to the phone, updating the settings is easy. It is comfortable to wear, even while exercising. Cons: Battery life can range from 8 to 14 hours. It is useless when I plan to be away from the charger all day. Not enough quality apps in the store. No Samsung Pay as of yet. I understand it is on the way.

Overall it's a great watch, with many faces to suit your individual style, or even just the mood. It has many apps, most of which I don't ever use but the few that I do work great. I would caution spending money on this just for the wearables technology though. I just so happen to use it while running like a Fitbit so it works out well for me. I would suggest getting a screen protector as I have a slight scratch in mine due to being careless. I take it off before I get in the water out of habit, but it's been plenty wet and I've never had an issue with it. The biggest con is the slow speech-to-text usability. I enjoy using it if I'm driving or walking or just don't want to take my phone out of my pocket, but sometimes it's just agonizingly slow. Hopefully a future update will make it as quick and accurate as the phone is

This is a great smart watch. Does everything I need on a daily and last all day. I get all my notifications and texts straight to my wrist. Doesn't feel like a gimmick, samsung went the right way with this one. Only wish there were more apps for it but those will come in time. Very clear screen and very responsive to swipes add typing. Only other flaw is samsung s voice doesn't work as well as it should but still very good.

Samsung has really outdone themselves with this watch. The rotating bezel brings back that classic feel from using those original iPods way back when. Now, in all reality, it really is all aesthetics rather than a practicality thing. The bezel allows you to do the same thing you can do from the touch screen. Customizable watch faces allows you to personalize your watch to how you want it.

I bought this watch for my husband and he likes it but prefer the Samsung gear 2 with the camera. He says he likes the square design better but overall it's a decent watch.

I love all the tasks my watch can perform from notifying me that I've received emails to text messages. I can also track my fitness with and see who's calling me without picking up my phone. It's a great product especially where I work it keeps me in the know while I'm on the run!

I did plenty of research before deciding which smart watch to purchase. I primarily wanted a watch to receive notifications, which this watch does well. The rotating bezel is great for navigation. Overall a great piece of hardware. The screen is crisp and clear, and notifications are easily dealt with. I don't have large wrists, and the Gear S2 does not look overly large on my wrist. I also get about 2 to 3 days of moderate use before charging. There are a few negatives, that, for me, don't detract from the watch overall. However, these negatives should be considered if you are interested in this watch. First, it is well known that there aren't many apps for the watch. Sure there are lots of watch faces, but very few useful apps in my opinion. Granted, this was not the reason I decided on this watch, so for me, not a big deal. Second, S Voice is slow and doesn't work that well. I don't use it much, but when I find the need to it is frustrating. Hopefully, future updates will fix this. (Hence my reason for giving this 4 stars, and not 5.) For runners/joggers, there is not native GPS built into the watch. Thus for run tracking, you will still need to bring your phone. Again, not a big deal for me, and I knew this before I purchased it. But, I can understand that for a $300 purchase, GPS probably should have been included. Lastly, the watch does not have the native ability to sleep track. There are a few apps you can use, but I've found they drain the watch's battery significantly. A rumored update coming this summer/fall will supposedly address this. Again, this was not a deal breaker for me. Overall a great watch. If you're looking for a watch that receives notifications and some other functionality, consider the Gear S2. However, those of you looking for a smart watch with lots of apps or integration with Google and their services, you are probably better off with an Android Wear watch. For those that want something more athletic and still with the Samsung product range, the Gear Fit 2 might be more appropriate.

I was coming from a Samsung Gear S and figured the Gear S2 would be natural progression. Sadly I was wrong. It's a nice watch, does what it is advertised to do, and is clean and lightweight. The rotating Bezel is really cool! The display was decent... Sadly that is where the fun ends. This watch, unlike the original version, does not have sound capabilities! Yes, correct NO SOUND! Typical first world issue, I know! The Samsung Tizen ecosphere has got much smaller on this watch. Less apps than the Gear S. The cheap plastic band felt like just that. Cheap plastic. After about 5 days of usage I realized what was posted all over the internet about this watch... The rotating bezel does not do a great job of sitting in place! On the 5th day I realized I could push it up or down, left or right. Granted maybe only 1 to 1.5 mm's but it still agitated me. It has a nice crisp feel when I got it but felt like silly puddy after a few days of use. Total loss of all tactile feedback. On the 6th day I returned it to get the Huawei watch. Although not perfect either the build quality and the Android ecosystem is far superior to the Samsung watch. Samsung really stepped down in the Gear S2. I was sadly disappointed. Had this watch cost $150.00 to $200.00 I would say GREAT DEAL but it's the same price I paid for the Huawei watch! Sorry Samsung, not this time... Get it together with the Gear S3 and I will be back. Nothing can bear the original Gear S!

This is my first smart watch so i can not compare to anything else.i love everything about it.great display.battery has been lasting all day for me with a workout.only downside i see right now is lack of apps.

Simple design with a functional watch. Charge lasts a day with moderate use. The apps are decent with more added everyday and with some useful ways to use the watch. Tons of free watch faces. A good buy.

Good: The design, the bezel, the applications, all works as expected and it's great!! Bad: some apps that were supposed to be available are not, like Uber and Samsung Pay. The battery does not last the two/three days as expected, but recharging every night it will always last the whole day. I expected that I would be able to control Spotify with it, but I cannot.

Awesome Smartwatch! Love the rotating bezel and the fact that the battery life is much better than the original Gear S. Unfortunately, I had to return it due to my skin getting irritated. That's what I get for having super sensitive skin. But what a device!

She was hesitant to get this one because it looks more masculine, but it had all the features she was looking for and she can change the watch face to whatever she wants. Syncs well with her Galaxy S6+.

Initially when looking for a smart watch I wasn't sure if I wanted one due to concerns with water resistance and normal sweat. I've had this watch now for a few months and I love it. When you first get it out of the box you're able to choose between 2 different wristband sizes and in my case I mixed them to fit my wrist better. I really like the apps available for customizing the screens and haven't had any problems yet with the battery life. Now I charge it every night and don't allow it to go below 40% battery during the day. The sales person was very helpful and actually helped me get a deal by purchasing two units at once. When the day comes where this no longer works in a few years I think I'll be going back for another Samsung Smartwatch and look forward to even more features built into the device. Pretty handy to use and worth it's money but a little more flashy than handy in my opinion. I would recommend this for Samsung users but May not suit everyone as well as the cheaper wrist wear

I had already been using the samsung watch the first generation until I got my LG phone and found out that watch would only work with samsung phones. I love the round face of the new watch and that it will change time zones. Being able to see Messages and who is calling is great. It is also easy to navigate through the screens. I wish they had kept the camera, as I used it often. Also wish I could still answer a call because sometimes I could not get to my phone so I would answer and then get my phone. All in all the new watch I great!

Love that it connects seamlessly with my other Samsung products (Galaxy tablet and S6 phone). Looks great and functions well. Waiting for more apps but understand it's still a new product.

The Samsung Gear S2 watch is my newest addiction. I never leave home without it! It's easy to use & has so many great features that I use daily. I typically charge it every night, however it can hold a charge for 2 days with normal use.

I love the design, UI and everything else except the fact that it doesn't have a lot of apps. At the moment there ain't a lot of apps to choose from most of them are just the watch faces.
