    I bought the cellular frontier. I wanted to use without my phone. It takes a bit to get used to using. I am still struggling over a month later on answering texts. It does not take voice messages a lot. I have to change it to drawn. I do not need or want social medias so its fine without. I love the changing watch faces. I only wish they had choice of keeping original face picked as on always on. Most I chose have a totally different lower light face it defaults to unless you are looking at watch. I want the faces i pick to show. But I did find some that have nice always on displays..but you can not see most always on until installed. Samsung Pay is the best. I use this feature EVERYWHERE!!! I had a girl ague in one store that it would not work but I tried next visit different cashier and it worked for me. I do not know if there is a limit on purchases but I had used thru holiday shopping and no glitches. My issue was hitting pay when cashier was not ready and time ran out and had to click again. Not a big deal. I purchased a chain band since my wrist is small the watch is overwhelming. But in longer sleeves it looks fine not sure how it will look in summer. My most disappointing issue was I want to leave my phone behind. I did not realize how many photos I took while hiking, shopping and scanning. So it takes time to get used to not having that option at hand. Hopefully Samsung can figure out a way to upgrade with a camera in the future. No camera is a big downfall. But It is a beautiful watch. Solid and comfortable. Oh one more thing if you cross your arms as I do because of chills or whatever reason...the phone gets leaned on and goes on and since its a touch screen ...well different scenarios there. All in all a great purchase. Charges last about a day even with shutting off display and no I do not use any of the health apps or anything other than check texts and calls and answer them. I have not used the music player as of yet...Talking to your wrist when there is background noise is comical and I did not realize how private a person I really am until you answer calls with it. I cannot wait to master it completely.

    I have to say I have had many watches and had the first gear watch with the built in camera, still miss that feature for grabbing UPC codes, or pets doing something crazy. But anyway this is the first time I didn't have a Samsung watch with a Samsung note phone. I had the Moto 360 prior to the gear 3 and have to say I'm enjoying the gear 3 frontier and it's many features like using samsung pay everywhere due to the magnetic signals it can send out to any card reader. Also like being able to leave my phone home but still be able to get all notifications and phone calls. Battery life isn't bad at all considering how much I use it daily. I can easily get 2 days but know since day 3 to 4 days all depends on how hard you use it and how often. Most notifications I read from watch than use phone if needed. Hands down best watch I have owned so far. Get the phone model that way you can leave phone but still get a access remotely. If only WiFi you can't get everything remotely unless always on WiFi.

    I bought this watch for a couple reasons. I work in sales outdoors and sometimes I can be out all day. This means I may not be able to get to a charger for my Samsung phone before it dies and this presents a problem since it is important for me to be able to make calls. The Gear S3 works great as a backup phone with it's LTE connection and amazing battery life. It also means I don't need to carry a portable charger for my phone, since I'm still able to make calls and text on my watch, even if my phone is out of juice. I've also been using the Gear S3 for my workouts and this is very handy in keeping track of my progress, especially when it comes to cardio. There are tons of neat features that help you to achieve your workout goals. The only downside is that it can be a bit bulky than some would prefer if you're only using it to workout. Otherwise, I love it!

    Sent 3 back and gave up on S3

    I wore the S2 for a long time with no issues at all. I bought 3, S3 Verizon versions. I drove 1 hour each way to my local BB. I had to order them each time because they didn't carry them in stock. All 3 times I received them I activated and paired them to my Note 5. 1st time the watch worked for 2 days and then stopped. I got a blank screen and looked up how to reset it. That fixed it but only for about 5 mins before it went blank again. I exchanged that one and showed that to the employee. 2nd did same thing but within 14hrs. Again I exchanged it and again showed them how it was acting. 3rd time was within 5hrs. I went to local BB because Verizon put me on wrong plan and so I thought I'd have BB fix it. As they were doing it it stopped working for them. At this point I said I'm done with this and to cancel the number and I returned the watch. I'm wondering if it was because of the Note 5? However the website says its compatible. However the little bit of time I had it I LOVED the watch. just can't recommend because the issues I had.

    The watch is well thought out and works well. My only real gripes are just nitpicking. I downloaded a Youtube app, which is a little cumbersome to use, but hey, I can watch videos on my watch, so I can't complain much (videos will eat your battery life, though). I like the feature that shows you have a message and takes you right to the message, but I wish when I viewed the message that it would show that on the message app, but I have to go to the app to clear that message as being unread. The watch works well and has some really useful software and apps, and receives a signal quite well.

    Not worth the money

    Bought the watch (LTE version) 6 months ago for one reason.. Text notification when I am not carrying my phone. Text notification works about 1/2 the time if that. Not interested in 99% of the apps but the couple I want will not work properly (spotify/samsung pay). Battery will not last a full day. I have to repeatedly enter my card into the samsung pay. $400.00 for a plastic watch with technology that is severely disappointing. Hoping the text notification is finally sorted out and becomes more reliable.

    Fantastic watch with all the technology you could want it something so small. Works great, but... The heart monitor is finicky. Seems every 3/4 times it won't work, says to clean the sensor. Have to "clean" it several times before it will take a reading again. Also, on this, customer service from Samsung is less than desirable. Emailed them several times and never got an answer to this question. They respond with an answer to something else not related to the original question. Overall, great product.

    If you have any hope at all of using this as a running/biking watch - move on. The GPS rarely locks on to a satellite, even in wide open spaces. Even when it does lock on, the sample rate is so bad that it cuts off corners and shows me wandering all over. The heart rate sensor is also unreliable. (I'm comparing to 2 previous Garmin watches I had.) Also, I found that I have to use the native email and sms apps on my Samsung phone in order to return an email or txt. those apps are really primitive. All in all, a very expensive doodad I wish I had returned.

    I got my watch yesterday and have taken two showers approximately 15 minutes each. Each time I showered my watch shut down. I did a quick google and read some reviews online and saw a number of people who have had similar issues. In some cases the watch was ruin and when returned to Samsung the company refused to replace/repair because of "water damage" even though the only water it saw was sweat. I honestly really like the watch and it's functionality. It works great. I'm just a little worried that a few months from now it'll die on me and I'll be out $350.

    Had to return this watch. Spent hours on the phone with Verizon and Samsung to work through issues in getting this watch to work to send/receive texts and calls. First it would use a different # which would not work both ways! It is not fully functional with IOS so not worth the $400 I paid for a last year’s model! It looks great and has awesome faces and features but not worth it without the text/call features.

    The gear S3 looks great and works well, but could be better. The battery life is less than desirable. I use my watch as a monitor for health which significantly decreases the battery life. One would be lucky to get a full 24 hours out of the battery which means that I cannot monitor my sleep with the watch unless I dedicate 2-3 hours in the morning for charging. There are a lot of cool features but again, the more features you use, the less battery life you will have.

    Great watch does everything I need. Replaced my fitbit with this watch. Samsung health app. Does more than the fitbit app. This watch also takes calls without it being tethered to bluetooth. Great when coaching a team or working out because you don't have to take your phone with you. It can also save you if your phone dies! Texting is also easy once you get the hang of the write to text.

    This is my first gear watch since the original and I'm blown away with how far they have come. I own the 4g model on verizon service and it's worked flawlessly. I was a little worried at first because I have small wrists but it looks fine. Having a backup for my note 8 and the ability to receive calls and texts even when I leave my phone is great. Samsung pay is also a great addition...I've found myself using it more than pulling out my wallet.

    I'm glad I decided to buy the protection for this product because I have to go back to the store and return it. Ive had to return the watch back 2x already becasue the bottom button stops working. At this point I dont even want another in return. I'm throughly frustrated with this product and I wouldnt recomend it to anyone.

    This is by far the best smart watch I've had. I've used all the generations of the Apple watch and this thing is a awsome. It looks and feels like a real watch it's big so it looks good on your wrist not all dinky like previous watches. Cool watch faces. Easy connectivity. Love the 4g connection.

    I have had alot of problems figuring out this watch, it's not for the faint of heart. I never owned a smart watch before but half the time it doesn't show text messages sometimes it doesn't show hardly anything. There's a contact on one of the screens that won't go away and I don't know what that even is. Just know it's not a user friendly setup but it does look real nice.

    I've had the previous 2 predecessor watch's by Samsung and am an avid outdoors gal so I wanted to upgrade and I've yet to learn all the features but so far I like it. I did go for long hikes in the Rocky's and the 1st day the battery didn't do well but the next day it did do well. I'm still learning all about it but so far so good

    The Samsung Gear 3 is a great watch physically. However, this watch runs on Samsung's Tizen OS instead of Google's Wear OS. This means unless an app is specifically written for Samsung Gear, it most likely won't work on the watch. You won't get Google Assistant on the watch either. Due to poor app selection, I returned this watch.

    Not a bad device, just needs some more app development. Base apps are ok, can sometimes be glitch, but overall performs as advertised. Love the ability to quickly check texts and alerts when not near phone and the built-in speaker phone works great.
