On first buying a watch , I was leaning on getting the 46mm galaxy watch and after seeing it in person realized it was just to large . Glad I decided on the sport watch, first off it’s very comfortable and the right size. Has all the features that I need for my day to day life. Though it doesn’t have a speaker to hear a phone call but besides that for the price it is perfect for me . I charge it every 3 days which is awesome

Love this watch! Excellent for tracking fitness, and fantastic interaction with my phone. (Samsung Note 8) - perfect size for smaller wrists, the Gear 3 was too bulky, but this fits perfectly.

I am a Samsung Galaxy user. I have been looking for a smart watch but reviews of the smaller ones were poor and higher rated are so big. Like strapping a clock on your wrist. This Gear Sport version is a great size and full function. Seems to have many apps available on Samsung store. And it's purported to be water proof. I replaced the rubberized band for a more sophisticated metal band matching the watch. I looks more adult, but it looses the tight fit needed for your heart rate monitor. Has GPS, heart rate, barometer (Altitude). As a lefty I am disappointed I cannot flip the display upside down, allowing me to wear it on my right wrist. Otherwise, very pleased.

When I went to the store to purchase the Garmin Vivoactive 3 watch. I wasn't anticipated on buying this watch due to the battery life but the reason why I purchased this is because the watch will have a better connection and works great with my app and Samsung phone. Plus there are plenty of excellence review on this compare to the Garmin. I'm happy with the watch except that Samsung could have done better with the battery life. Gave it a 4 stars. My battery life with Bluetooth connection all day will last 3 days like it states but I wish it can last longer. love the way watch is design and feel.

After days of researching smartwatches, I landed on this one and it had everything I wanted in a smartwatch except an Android OS. I was very nervous about trying Tizen but after owning this watch for a few days, I'm in absolute love. A few of the things I really researched were: Apps. They are limited but there are apps for almost anything you need. Not everything but close. I have yet to use the GPS apps (yes apps -plural- because there's more than just one GPS app unlike what most of the reviews I read caused me to believe) but I will be trying that app out in the next week. Faces. There are so many watch faces that I'm not sure where to begin. I've used Mario, Zelda, and Goldeneye (I love my video games). Any watch face I've searched for, I've also found. Some may cost $0.99 and up but there are a ton of free ones to choose from. I haven't paid for any faces yet. I'm very happy with the free ones available. Watch Bands. I wanted the Android OS so bad that I almost bought the Moto 360 Sport. This would have been an incredible mistake. You can't change the band on the Motorola but you can on the Samsung. I've already got a new watch band on the way. Battery Life. I've had this watch for 3 days. I received it, synced it, played around with it, then I fully charged it (I received it with 67% battery life). I just had to charge it for my first time. It lasted me maybe an hour short of 3 days with average use. I'm thoroughly happy with this considering I was used to the Fitbit Blaze which didn't last more than 1 day. The difference is that the Fitbit's heart rate sensor stays on all the time. The Samsung Gear Sport has 3 settings for this. Off, frequent, and always on. I left mine on frequent so it checked my heart rate every 10 minutes instead of constantly. Water resistance. I'm not a sporty individual. I work in the medical field though so I wash my hands a lot. I also give the occasional shower to help my patients. So this was important. It's lasted through at least 4 showers in 3 days and my continuous hand washing. So far, no issues whatsoever. Steps. I love seeing how many steps I can get in a shift. A lot of my friends like to see who can get the most. This makes the day fly by so the step accuracy is nice. After using this a few days, I noticed my step count dropped a bit compared to the Fitbit. Then I learned why. I can shake my Fitbit and get steps (almost like an old school pedometer) but the Gear Sport isn't fooled. It knows when you're getting steps verses painted a wall or just shaking your watch. I LOVE that it knows the difference. A few bonuses I've noticed: it tracks my sleep and how well I rest at night. My fitbit did this and it was a feature that wasn't easy to give up so having this on my new Gear Sport too was a huge bonus. I also love that I can keep up with my water/coffee intake straight from my watch instead of having to use my phone. Healthcare management doesn't care for Nurses pulling their phones out at the desk or the hallways. I can also reply to texts and emails straight from my watch. The handwriting thing is pretty nice but it needs a bit of work to be perfect (it's constantly changing my words into all caps). Although you can't make a call from the watch, you can accept and ignore calls straight from your wrist, as well as, send the caller a quick text saying that you're at work or busy, etc. There's so much more that I haven't discovered on this watch yet and I can definitely tell this is my first real smartwatch but I've already had a ton of compliments on it. And just for the record, the bezel makes navigating the Gear Sport so easy! So yes, I give this watch 5 stars. But I also know that things can change so my review may change but as of right now, I'm in love!

My wife had the gear fit watch prior to this watch because of the size of my Samsung Gear S3, but once this was announced she was so excited because Samsung was finally looking out for the woman she stated. I do agree that this is the perfect size with the same great features as my S3

This is my favorite Samsung gear watch. I had the original, the fit, fit 2, and gear s2. The battery life is great, and the software is much improved over the others. It is comfortable to wear, I wear in the shower, I can swim with it etc...

Bought as a gift for the wife. She loves it and is able to send texts, answer calls, but needs the phone to talk. Great for monitoring heart rate and workout activity and even water resistant. great extension of the phone. While the phone is still new, she gets about 3 days with a full charge. Supports a 20mm band so you can search for any 20 mm bands to upgrade your watch, not just Samsung specific bands.

I previously had a FitBit Blaze, only for six months before I had to take it back to the store due to notifications not working, the band broke and the heart rate sensor was going crazy. The Samsung Gear offers so much more and is worth the extra money. I love it. There are issues on occasion the voice text will be done, which is frustrating, but overall it’s the best one I’ve found so far.

    Solid SmartWatch But not perfect

I like the watch. It is solidly built with a long battery life with lots of watch faces to choose from. It's not perfect because of the following reasons: 1. No speaker - all $25 digital watches have a speaker no matter how small. 2. The silicon bracelet seems to be bad for my skin especially where there is tight contact. I use it it a lot and my skin turn black like it was burned. Maybe I have very sensitive skin. I changed the bracelet into a stainless melanese type with magentic lock but be careful in using the magnetic lock which interferes with the watch sensitive meters and bezel 3. no interface to Google Assistant. The Samsung Voice version is so so. I actually dont use it. What I love: 1. The Bezel function 2. Battery life 3. Build quality 4. Looks 5. Functionalities

My first smart watch so hard to compare but I love it. The size is great, battery life is great and it has all the features you'd want or need in a smart watch. It's still new so we'll see how it holds up but I'm very happy with it.

Does everything I expected it to do! There was an issue with sync delays between the gear and my note 5 but after resetting and installing updates on both devices, issue was resolved. I'd give it 5 stars if it doesn't stop tracking my health stats in the middle of a workout. Overall, I'm very satisfied. Strong build, size is perfect on my wrist, ruggedly beautiful design.

I purchased the Gear Sport Smartwatch to replace a Gear Fit2 Pro due to poor battery life with the Fit2. I needed a device that could last overnight to monitor my sleep and be ready for my morning workout. Thankfully, the Gear Sport has more than enough battery for the task. Overall the Gear Sport does everything it is designed to do without much fuss. The only two issues I had was adding a credit card for Samsung Pay and loading music. Adding a credit card seems to be a common problem based on the number of Google responses I found when looking for help. The solution was simple enough, needed to clear the Samsung Pay app’s cache and reset the smartwatch. The problem I encountered with loading music was due to adding too many play lists at the same time. The lists and tracks were scrambled. Easy solution is to add one playlist at a time. Loading is easy thanks to the Samsung music app. It was able to import my play lists from Media Monkey without any prompting. The most pleasant feature, which is unique to me, is S Voice working when using Android Auto. I have a hideaway deck, no steering wheel controls and no cabin mic, so when the deck is retracted I have no interface. Also, obviously, without a cabin mic and can’t make phone calls. Just for because, I wanted to see if S Voice would work. It not only worked with Android Auto I was also able to use the mic on the watch to make phone calls. Despite the two hiccups I had with loading music and adding a credit card, I am more than impressed with the functionality of the Gear Sport Smartwatch.

This watch is replacing a fitbit surge which is had for a number of years. The gear dial option is great and lows quick scrolling through things. BTW you can also swipe past most things as an alternative. The options for apps are thin but I can say I'm not missing much as of today. Notifications work great and are highly programmable as to what notifications can actually alert you on the watch. The voice activation works pretty well but not perfect. The fitness side of the watch works great for heart rate and step count but the stairs counter hardly updates correctly, usually way low. The Samsung pay didn't work originally and I needed to contact support which was very helpful and resolved the issues. In terms of battery, the charger needs to be wireless because if the waterproof rating and by being wireless it is limited to the fairly slow charge time. I have found ways to reduce battery time to maybe get two full days out if it. But then you're without it for hours so I just charge it nightly and ignore the sleep tracking. I do think that this watch is overall well worth having and for the price had the right mix of technology and performance to justify the price.

I did not want to pay monthly so I use this watch with blutooth and it.is.awesome. honestly. I used to have the gear fit 2 but this watch has so many more features. I especially enjoy the different options to reply to texts, and that i dont have to wait for a notification to access an app on my phone. Battery goes for days.

Fantastic watch. Easy to use and way more functional than I ever thought. I haven't even begun to use everything on this watch. Battery life is great and that's me about 3 days, although I don't have my HR monitor turned on (I don't need to measure my HR all day long). The watch will measure your HR when you work out.

I finally gave up on my Fitbit and decided I needed a fitness watch that synced well with my phone. The Fitbit was ok, but my Samsung Sport is much better. I would like to see some improvements though. The Fitbit always gave me a fairly accurate reading of my elevation gain. My S Sport is not as accurate. It won't measure anything at all unless I'm going up at a fairly rapid rste. It has a heart rate check, but does not stay on long enough to get an accurate reading. I love how it syncs with my S9+ and S Health. I like the charger. It's easy to keep it charged. Battery life has been great. It notifies and previews for me messages, emails and phone calls. Overall, I feel it's a decent smart watch.
