One of Today's the Best Smart Watches
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Six months ago I purchased the Fenix 5S and was very happy with the watch due to battery life, workout options and configurable watch faces. Two weeks ago I purchased the Samsung S3 and was amazed at the 2-3 day battery life as well as screen resolution/always on feature. The S3 was slightly large for my wrist so I purchased the Gear Sport black. The size is just perfect and the display is gorgeous. It came with the latest Tizen OS, works very well with my iPhone and its automatic features are superb. Take a nap and the watch senses you were sleeping. Start walking or running and it records a workout (of course if you have the auto option on). I am a daily user of an indoor treadmill. The Garmin Fenix 5S supports Ant+ and I had a purchased a foot pod for to record my indoor workout. The Samsung watch does not support Ant+ but all I do is stick it in my pocket and it automatically records my treadmill workout. I purchased a calf leather band for a business look as well as some other colorful silicon bands to match a sporty mood. Very happy with the watch and highly recommend it.

Great Upgrade from S2 Classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up after having the S2 Classic for a year, and it was a great decision, with a few minor issues. The watch itself is fairly big, so it might be unwieldy on smaller wrists. The heart rate monitor is miles better than the S2, most likely because is now a little bump on the back of the watch. The screen is recessed from the turning bezel, making it trickier to use swipe gestures on the screen. The battery is significantly better here, as I've been able to get over 3 days on one charge (at brightness 4-5) where the S2 lasted for about 2 days. Overall, I have no regrets making the move to the Sport. Great pickup if you're a few generations behind on the Gear line.

Fun for what it is
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy my watch. I chose the sport because it is water proof and I can go swimming with it. I had to sacrifice the speakers for that. I feel they leave features out so they have something to put in the next generation. I didn't want to wait but I would recommend waiting for the next version.

Function like you would think
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.start by saying the battery life is amazing on this thing. I go probably every three days before charging it, and even then its still about about 40%. The functionality is awesome and possibly the best feature is it automatically tracks steps and floors. Need more potential apps though.

Surprisingly Good!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this knowing I had an iPhone, but also learning from the Best Buy rep that they would work together. I have had every iWatch, and this surpasses it by far. The charge lasts for days even if you use it, there are more options and customizations for the face, and way more settings. It is not a complicated watch to learn either. It syncs quickly and easily, and has never dropped its connection. Any time I have been out of range it has stored the data until it synced. I am a apple fanatic, but this is better. And I have to give credit when it is due. Well done Samsung.

Excellent Android watch!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Currently using this watch with a Moto e5 Supra phone and this watch works like a charm. Tracks steps, floors, and heart rate accurately. I've seen some reviews about it not working with non-samsung phones, but I can honestly say I've had no issues. Controls music and videos from my phone, even when I'm casting to the Chromecast, I've gotten all message notifications without delay. Haven't tried any voice controls or anything like that, but the watch does have a mic in it. Over all I'm very satisfied with this watch. Highly recommend.

Great watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my gear S2 and very happy with my purchase. It has worked great for runs. I'm happy gear added floor count to daily goals too. It feels a little lighter or just seems to fit better on my wrist. Battery life has been impressive too.

Samsung gear sport
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this watch!! Most smart watches look like a guy watch with a huge face. This one was slightly smaller and I think girls can where it. I'm disappointed that my phone needs to be with a 100 ft of me for it to work. But all and all its a great watch

Nice Watch
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a watch to track exercise including swimming, and I wanted something that was easy to set up and use. This watch met those requirements. I've bought other watches over the years that were difficult to use---not this one. I don't like silicon bands, but I found a replacement leather band on Amazon. It's a nice watch and the new band makes it comfortable to wear plus it looks nicer. My only complaint is that it is bulkier than competitor's watches, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Much long bettery life compare AW 2.0
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect size and superb battery life. I move on to Samsung Tizan from AW2.0 horrible battery life with my LG watch urbane 2nd edition Lte(all Android watches) now with WatchMaker app there are endless free watch faces on top of of samsung watch faces.

Pretty good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't use all the features. I do have to say I've had to do a reset once because the heart rate monitor wasn't working correctly and a reboot once because the lower button wasn't bringing up apps screen. This is why I deducted one star. I chose this watch because it is slightly smaller than the Gear 3 which I prefer. Also because it has Gorilla glass which is very important to me and has stood up well to all the hits it's taken. All in all I'm happy with watch. I do wish there were more simple watch faces loaded, but you can always browse the store.

Good Smartwatch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A good smartwatch. I’m disappointed in the charge time and using time before charging again. Samsung should try to figure out how to get more wear time. There are fitness watches, like Nokia Steel that can run on 8 months battery time, so they say

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little bit worried that this watch would be too big for my wrist, but nope... it's perfect. I was also worried that going from a Fitbit to a smartwatch I would miss some of the fitness fuctionality... but I don't. Generally speaking, all of the same information is there (including sleep tracking) plus you get a lot of additional functionality in a more traditional looking watch. I also like that you can switch the watch bands out to achieve different looks (dress up, dress down, silicone for exercise, etc.).

Well Worth the upgrade. Excellent smart watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will start my review by saying that I had the S2 for almost 2 years until my band broke. Looking online this seemed to be a common problem with them and I started looking to upgrade. I wanted to stay with Samsung since all my devices are Android based. I was looking between the S3 and the Sport what set me on the Sport was the price and a sale on it at the time I was looking. I have had the Sport for over 3 months now and have loved it since day one. The only thing that I can find fault with is the auto dimming setting. The S2 had a brightening feature instead of dimming. I liked this better as I could set the the lower limit of the screen brightness instead of the top limit and it dimmed. To conserve battery life you can not set it to the max that would be needed in direct sun light and get good life. This may be simply user error. On the battery life I am noticing that the life on my S2 was about 3 days where I am only getting currently about 2 days on the Sport. This is not a deal breaker by no means. I use mine kinda heavy with alerts and messages, light audio control usage, and average activity tracking. This continues to be a great watch for everyday usage.

Better than expected.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't really think I'd use a smart watch that much, but decided to try one since Best Buy was practically giving them away. Love the build quality and functionality. Use it daily to track workouts, and the heart rate monitor is pretty accurate. I don't miss calls anymore, since it vibrates on my wrist when I receive calls on my phone. Would like a speaker on the watch, so that I could take calls, but understand that the waterproof functionality prevents the speaker option.

Great for Android Users
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a gift to be used with a Samsung Galaxy S7 phone - - I can not attest to how well this watch works with any iOS devices, but from what I have seen, the Gear Sport Watch works perfectly within the Android-OS regarding Bluetooth, and notifications. This is a very good looking watch, and feels very sturdy. Changing watch bands to accommodate your day and or activity is a great and easy feature to do as well! The watch is too new to comment on battery life yet!

Good, but some room to grow (or shrink)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first smartwatch and after 2 weeks I am still very happy with my purchase. I upgraded from a FitBit Charge 2 and have only looked back because my whole family has FitBits and we have a FitBit Aria scale. Samsung Gear and Samsung Health do not communicate with anything FitBit. This isn't surprising, but it is still a little annoying. I like the ease of use, the display, the apps and widgets. I like that I can take the dogs for a walk and don't have to carry my phone to track it (because we all know women's workout clothes do not have pockets!) I am pretty small so the watch face seems big on my wrist. A lower profile device wouldn't upset me, but it's ok. The Gear Sport does it's job well and so far I have no real complaints or regrets.

Smart Watch for Everyone Else
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're not an early adopter or someone who isn't sure if smart watches are for you, last year's Samsung selections are for you. Wait for a good sale and you'll get a top of the line smart watch for a fraction of competitor prices. The screen is not super responsive from wake up (takes a second), but there's still lots of features to enjoy and the form factor is great if you want a normal size smart watch.
