I had last years Gear VR and new S8 so I read this would make it work as the new version does and that was also my experience. Highly recommend it so you don't have to tap side of visor anymore. Some items don't respond to the clicking on the disc so if you experience that then just pull the trigger, that always seems to work

so much easier than the touch pad. Way worth it!!!

Its a very good solid product. Feels like good build quality and enhances the Gear VR experience. I just wish the pairing instructions from sleep mode were a little more clear. I seem to have to re-pair the device to the phone from sleep. The device is capable of updates so I hope for this to be resolved.

This is the bear controller tonuse with the Gear V.R. I tried using my PS4 controller and there was severe lag and latency. This controller is easy to connect to the gear VR and make just about any game better when compatible. Not all gamesmanship are controller compatible.

it does free up your hand but can be a little tricky to control. It's fine but hand to head set is just as easy. If it could give you the ability to act like hands and grab and hold things that would be great.

I bought this because i wanted a better vr controller for my generic vr headset. It will sync with the phone but that's it. It will not do anything else with the phone after that.

A great VR experience, but the headset it is only usable for 10 - 15 minutes at a time before phone gets too hot and shuts down. Definitely not good for the phone, so it is being returned. Also, the controller needs to be recalibrated frequently.

My purchase of my first Samsung VR device was cool already, even without the wand. But I had heard about these wands and found one luckily recently. This baby adds another learning and enhancement opportunity to VR activities. It's cool!

Controller makes selecting and shooting much more intuitive and comfortable. (No more hand on the side of the head to shoot!) Biggest complaints: 1. Pairing even after set up isn't always seemless. 2. Have to reorient fairly often for some reason.

Not as good as a full controller but it's definitely better than trying to use the pad on the Gear VR. It sometimes has trouble connecting. Overall it performs as advertised.

Bought on clearance. Solid controllers, but would not pay full price. Honestly VR seems more like a fun gimmick. Maybe something will eventually be groundbreaking, but this is not exactly it.

Perfect replacement for mine that went bad. Not a ton more to say. It’s the OEM controller that comes with the headset and it’s a must-have.

A must have if you have a Samsung gear vr. The remote makes the VR experience so much more enjoyable. If you can get it for a good price definitely pick it up.
