Always buy things new!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ssd formats for 10 minutes and windows says it fails and Mac OS can’t even initialize it. I bet this wouldn’t happen with a new ssd. I’ve tried to reset the ssd multiple times and always gave me an error. Mac OS doesn’t do anything and sits on a loading bar in disk utility.

Don't fall in that trap
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is defect. I just had to drive all the way to a BestBuy to return it. GeekSquad confirmed it's defect and replace it with the new one by charging you the difference. You wont deal with more trouble and pay and leave. This is their marketing strategy to sell the new one eventually to their actual price. Now they may put my returned one refurbished on sale to hunt for the next victim. BestBuy should be confident replacing the refurbiched one if it is defect with no charges. What's the point selling refurbished tech if BestBuy is aware it's not working at first place and deal with returns and asking customer to go and buy a new one!?!

120TB was already written to the drive.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Refurbished drive already had 120TB written to it. Luckily my customer was ok with it and he won't get that kind of useage out of it.

Refurbished is not backed by Samsung warranty.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review."Refurbished" is assigned for a reason. I had this for couple of years (Samsung warranty is 5 years for this with upto 300TWB - READ below). No warranty for refurbished drives and my drive now is failing with hundreds of "uncorrectable errors" for some file. Just got a response from Samsung that refurbished drives are not warrantied, because they were sold/purchased opened and used "by someone else." Most files on my drive are still fine and OS boots, but some files cannot be copied or moved. S.M.A.R.T. reports lots of errors when I access some specific files. I am stuck with this dud and plan to copy OS ASAP to some other drive I haven't picked yet. Stay away from "refurbished" if you want to put some valuable files or OS on it.
