The product works just fine. Good picture and the 4K upscaling makes a difference. The Samsung apps are a little clunky, but as a Blu-Ray player, things are just fine. My only warning comes from the ordering process. The website said it would have the player, remote, batteries and manual. The first one that arrived only had the player. No remote, no batteries, no manual. I called Best Buy and it was a difficult process to return it to the store and get a new one shipped. Once it was complete, everything was fine. The second one had the remote, at least... but was still missing the manual and batteries. The remote was the big deal, so I kept it. Just beware that the website is not necessarily up to date on what is included and what isn't.

Overall, I am much more pleased with this player than my previous purchase. Picture is great, loading is fast in my opinion, and it is compact. Just what I am looking for. Cons: the remote needs to be pointing directly at (or very close to) the player for the player to read the remote. I also don't like the location of the EXIT and HOME buttons on the remote - they are next to all of the commonly used navigation buttons and if you accidentally hit one of these buttons (especially when using the remote in the dark), it'll take you out of wherever you were and you'll have to start all over.

No need to worry about a refurbished item from Best Buy. This one is as good as new. Great Blu-Ray player!

I would highly recommend this Blu-Ray DVD Player, as it connects to WI-FI, allowing you to connect to Netflix if you have a Netflix account. Great price too!!

This is a really nice smart DVD player and the 3D works great. The one thing I have against it is its native media player. It sees my network drives fine, but will not play the vast majority of the MP4 movie files due to the codec (so I am told anyway) they chose to use. I loaded up the Plex ap and it works fine, except that it will NOT see my WD Live network drives unless I map them to a PC that is running the Plex server, so I have to leave a PC running all the time to watch movies (or anything else) from my network drives. The one thing that would make this unit a 5 star rating is a much better native media player implementation. Not sure why Samsung though this one was a good idea! It really bites. I'm hoping they might come up with a much better one and make it available in a firmware update. Until then I can't recommend this thing to anyone. Until then I limp along with Plex and a PC constantly sucking down power from the grid.

This has been a great Blu ray and DVD player. It's simple, slim design fits perfectly and it works seamlessly with my Samsung smart tv.

We would never know that it's not a brand new player. It works very well. We have not taken advantage of the upscaling ability yet because it's not connected to a 4K TV.

Product was a refurb. Absolutely no problems. Looked brand new. No operating or setup issues. Only downside is button placement on top of device instead of in the front.

Love the sleek look of the player, buttons are touch sensitive, you don't need to actually press the buttons. Takes some getting used to, but, cool! No issues with it at all so far. Paired easily to my universal remote. CD's sound great when played in the player as well. Would buy open-box/ refurbished again for sure.

Bought to upgrade our bedroom player and now considering replacing a $300 + unit in LR with another one. Real good unit.

Can't say a lot more about how great this DVD player is. Easy to use, easy to sync to my 2017 4K Samsung TV.

Bought refurbished and have had no issues works great and good price.
